We signed a contract with Epic Pools on April 29, 2021, to complete installation of a fiberglass pool on our property. It's now October and the only thing they've completed is the digging of a hole in our backyard and purchased the fiber glass pool that is yet to be installed. We've paid for installation of the pool but the pool is still sitting at the manufacturer's property with the owner, Darren Cook, yet to make arrangements to pick it up and install it. We've stayed on him constantly about completing the job in a timely manner but he avoids our texts and phone calls and we would sometimes go two to three weeks without knowing any progress. When we did speak with him he would lie to us about when things would be completed and would mislead us on the progress of completion. He also dug the hole in our backyard without having our yard marked with the location of electrical, cable, and gas lines. This caused his worker, while digging, to cut our electrical line thus leaving us with no power to our house for four hours. I had to call the electrical company to install an electrical bypass in order to restore power to our home that has cost us over $1,000. Darren has not reimbursed us for this cost and has even tried to make us pay for the electrical re-wiring that we will need which again was no fault of ours. During our last conversation with the Darren Cook, he basically told us the job will be completed when it's completed and would not give us a clear answer and told us he didn't know when he could get a crew out to our property to complete the job. While speaking with us, he also used profanity. The total cost of the job is $45,991.65 and we've already paid him $34,493.73, and as stated before all he's done is dig a hole and purchase the fiber glass pool to be installed.
