Noticed on my $4,000 warranty contract that they cover a locksmith in the event of emergency roadside service for up to $100. Called to speak to customer service to explain to them that I had lost my key few months ago and wanted to file a claim retroactively. I got called the wrong name twice, and was told that my claim would be denied and they only cover a locksmith if your keys are locked in the car. How ridiculous. This just happened 10 minutes ago, I'll be sure to contact the BBB and find extended coverage elsewhere.North American Auto Care

Hi and sorry for your mis-understanding. The Locksmith coverage according to your contract is not a Key replacement program. It is a locksmith if you lock your keys inside your vehicle. I would ask that you please read your contract for any clarification. ThanksReview fromDiane S

2 starsI called these people to help with my car today. They told me I had to go find my own towing company to take my car for diagnostic. Like what is this company for. I'm so upset with these people. I'm thinking about cancelling my contract with them. They said I wasn't covered for towing. My engine light is on I'm afraid to ask them to have that check. I'm paying monthly on this and I call one time and get refused. What a way to run a business. I'm just wasting my hard earn money.Review fromSHERRY B

1 starI own a automotive repair shop and I will NEVER work with this company ever again. Their claims "director" **** is the most disrespectful person I have ever dealt with. Customer purchase warrantys to protect their investment but you have this **** *** sitting behind a desk DENYING / LOW BALLING repair items for items that are 100% covered and necessary. The worse part is he is sitting there trying to act like he knows anything about the automotive world... when it is obvious he doesn't. (There is a difference between working on cars in the 80's vs working on modern day vehicles). At the end of the day, I am going to get paid either way for the work I do. It doesn't change if the warranty company pays for it or the customer. However, as a small business owner I actually CARE about my customers and to see a warranty company deal with claims in such an unprofessional manner is absolutely insane. How do you sleep at night taking money from customers and then trying to rip them off when they actually make a claim??I WILL NEVER ACCEPT ANOTHER WARRANTY FROM NORTH AMERICAN AUTO CARE OR REFER ANY OF MY CUSTOMES TO GET A WARRANTY FROM NORTH TEXAS AUTO CARE!!**I WOULD LOVE TO SPEAK TO ACTUAL MANAGEMENT ABOUT MY INTERACTION WITH THIS COMPANY AND **** SPECIFICALLY. SO PLEASE FEEL FREE TO REACH OUT IF YOUR COMPANY ACTUALLY CARES ABOUT YOUR REPUTATION.Review fromToni W

1 starI paid my contract in full on September 19, 2024. I've used it once in the 4 years I've been paying on it. My car needs a shift gear unit replaced, as I have an extremely hard time moving the shift from "park" to move to move my car. It usually takes me 3-5 minutes to move the shift gear. My mechanic told me the interlock solenoid actuator needs to be replaced. He contacted the manufacturer for my vehicle and was told this part alone cannot be replaced, the repair will entail replacing the entire shift gear unit. He contacted Claims of **** and was told this part is not covered under my contract. Imagine needing the part that actually MOVES the car not being covered?!?! Of course, I am now coming "out of pocket" for parts and repairs. I am so disappointed.Review fromRussell J

I purchased a service warranty and they were really good until my last claim and exhaust manifold that failed because the heat shield failed which caused the manifold to warp which broke a exhaust bolt. they are denying the claim saying that it's because the bolt broke. the dealership says no. it's clearly evident it was a failure of the manifold. it's also common that these manifolds do this. they even make an aftermarket product for it. there is no exclusionary parts of the contract about exhaust manifolds. they said the manifolds were covered but due to the bolt breaking they're not carving it. it's a way out. I think I should be recovered and I'm fighting. they won't let me talk to a supervisor or anythingNorth American Auto Care

Hi and thank you to ************** for the review. I am sorry that it wasn't properly explained to you and we strive to bring the best and upmost, professional customer service to our claims process. The damage to the manifold was caused by the broken bolt, which was confirmed by the shop. We did handle the claim properly and We did approve throttle body oil cooler lines. Total approved is $1112.61. Your contract is clear in this exclusion in Section C: (c) Service adjustments/cleaning, a contaminated fuel system, air conditioning recharge, all batteries, all hybrid batteries, electronic transmitting and receiving devices failure due to battery loss of capacity, battery cables, fuses, relays, bolts and fasteners, belts, brakes (drums, shoes, linings, disc rotors and pads), exhaust system (including catalytic converter), lights (ANY COMPONENT WHOSE ONLY PURPOSE IS FOR ILLUMINATION, SUCH AS BUT NOT LIMITED TO: SEALED BEAMS, HIGH INTENSITY DISCHARGE (XENON) HEADLAMP, LEDS, LIGHT BULBS, LENSES), manual clutch, pressure plate throw out bearings, clutch master or slave cylinder, manual transmission clutch disc and lining, shock absorbers, spark plugs and wires, squeaks or other noises, tires, tune-ups, wheel balancing and alignment, wheel studs, wiper blades, shop supplies, friction materials, glass, hoses (except steering and air conditioning). Filters, lubricants, coolants, refrigerants, fluids and taxes (where required by law) will be covered only if required in conjunction with the repair or replacement of a Covered Part. I hope this clears things up and again, am sorry if there was any mis-communication.Review fromKenneth R

1 starThese people do not play by the rules. There are incredibly more not-covered parts of your car than what they do cover. Way more. Also if its not a lubricated part, no coverage. They want you to pay them right away, only to have you wait for 30 days to be covered. Also during that 30 days is your only way to be reimbursed your money when you cancel coverage. Conundrum? Yes. And if you cancel coverage they seem to not want to give your money. Ack. Please do not give these people any money. Dirty, crooked and scheming.I canceled in December last year. Its May and still not a word or check received. And I call them all the time.
