Hello, A few months ago I was searching for a career and found American Insurance Life postings on Indeed. After completing an interview with Cole ******** (or Cole *****), I realized their job postings were false; the positions and salaries they were advertising were not available within their organization. I also found a handful of other postings by businesses under different names, with the same contact info as their original A.I.L. listings. On 8.27.2021 I completed another interview for Guthrie-Smith Agency, and realized it was the same man conducting interviews for a different business name, at the listed address. He was also posting online as DrSmith LLC. I've listed out the known businesses he is advertising as online. The harm and potential breach of privacy his actions cause is something consumers ought to be aware of, and he should be formally asked to cease and desist his false personas and businesses lest someone fall victim and lose resources (money, time, identity).Business response

I was charged twice after calling in to make a cancelation to my policy. Once on August 11th and then today August 27th. When I called in today I was told that there was a delay with my cancelation request and that's why I was charged 12.63 and once the request went through they realized I wasn't charged for the portion of the policy I wanted to keep. I was never made aware that there would be any type of delay with my request nor that I would be charged twice in a month. I feel as if this fraud and I have been scammed because I was not made completely aware of what would take place next. Due to this type of service I am seeking a full refund and am canceling my policy.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/08/31) */ A cancelation of the Term Rider and Accidental Death Benefit rider was requested on the whole life policy. Our office made the requested change leaving the Whole Life portion of the policy in force. There were no changes requested to be made to the Accident policy which was in force. Pursuant to this request, our office is canceling both policies and issuing a one-month refund on each policy. 6/24/2021 I applied for a life insurance. Agent Phil ***** says payment will not go thru until someone calls me and talk to me next week. Which was not true and they deducted the fee even though I did not speak to anyone from AIL. Called him on 7/7/2021 telling him that I was not happy about it and need to cancel. He says he was going to take care of it on his end, and that was not true again. They deducted the fee on 8/3/2021. Never received from them that my policy was finalized nor cancelled, they just kept charging me with inaccurate information with no product. No letters received in mail. Last email from them states that the policy is under review.Business response

This company did nothing but play games with me on Coverage, so we cancelled all policy with them and told multiple employees and managers to stop calling with offers to reinstate services. But they don't or won't stop We just want this absolute harassments at this point to stop. They provide nothing but lies and have never provided the services we were paying for, every time we needed them the answer was you didn't didn't fill this out right or you spoke to wrong department or we don't show any notes about that. I just want them to stop contacting me. We donated money and time to this company and have come to terms with the scam and lost funds.Business response

My Father ******* *******) had an account for me that he was billed and paying until not too long ago, when I found out about the account. He passed away about almost 2 yrs. ago, but was still being billed and paying for services through his bank account. My family and I found out about the account while we were going through his estate and bills. I never knew about it and found he started the account around 1999 or so. Once I found out about the account, I called AIL to cancel the account and sent them the death certificate. They told me I couldn't keep the money that was in the account, but said they would end the account. AIL from that point on kept sending me account renewal information and a fee to get it started. I contacted AIL again to stop sending me mail but they continued. Now, as of today, I received a bill from them of $193.10 This is the first I ever received from them. How should I go about handling this situation?Business response
