I am writing to express my frustration at the methods used by your sales team. For the record, I was sold a hail damaged pre-owned car on 18th of May 2024. In bright daylight the hail damage was visible nor did the sales person mention the damage during our entire conversations, negotiations and signing of documents. Carfax report also did not mention any damage to the car. We noticed the damage later and brought it to notice during our telephonic conversation on 20th May, to which I received no follow up revert and thus visited in person on 21st May 2024. To my shock, your team already knew about the damage and had sneakily got a hail Damage disclosure signed from me by hiding the document among a bunch of other documents. I believe this is a sly tactic from the company to sell damaged vehicles to unsuspecting first time buyers. If the vehicle is damaged it should be told upfront before/during the sale negotiations for the car. The damage was never mentioned and while signing the document the importance of said document was never called out.As a buyer, anyone would expect full disclosure all known defects and issues upfront. I feel cheated and as the company is showing no willingness to sort out this issue. Today I read a similar review of you on BBB about the sneaky tactics the company employs. I just wish I had read it before being scammed by Nissan of McKinney.

We sold the car "AS IS" .  it was traded in with Hail Damage and we sold it unrepaired.  We did not hide the damage; the customer was well aware of it.  It was also reflected in the price.   I have attached the disclosure form. There is nothing we are willing to do.

*DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS DEALERSHIPRecently I was in the market for a new vehicle and decided to give Nissan of McKinney a try. Everything was fine until we were lied to. My credit wasnt the best so my relative with a higher credit score than mine decided to co-sign for me. I ended up test driving a Nissan ******************************* Altima but ultimately made the decision to get the Altima. We submitted the credit app with our sales person (********) and she came back to us with a paper with different monthly financing options payments that seemed very high considering my co signer has good credit. Once everything is done ******** our sales person says weve been approved and shes giving our file to finance to get sign our paperwork with him. We get to finance and turns out we havent even been approved. We wasted two hours going back and fourth with finance and them giving us the run around which was confusing because if we had been approved whats the hold up? ***** in finance told us nobody approved us but yet they kept running our credit giving us multiple unnecessary inquiries. ************* then told us that the finance director (***********************) would back door the bank and call to get us approved because of his relationship. We went home & the next day I get a call from ******** saying that ***** got us approved we with Nissan Motor Acceptance they just needed to verify our identity. She asked my co-signer and I to email her our social security cards which is weird , but she made it seem like that would get us approved. We went up to the dealership ready to show our Social Security Cards and ended up getting told Nissan actually didnt approve us. We felt lied to & that our time had been wasted! 10 inquiries later and no car or approval!!!! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS DEALERSHIP! ALL THEY DO IS LIE AND FEED YOU FALSE INFORMATION!

I purchased a 2019 Altima CPO in 11/2021 and the buying process was shady, and random misc. fees/ refurbishing fees were hidden in the contract. The sales manager I spoke with the next day refused to take back the vehicle or come to any sort of agreement as it came to the actual advertised price + TTL. I write now because, since then, the vehicle has been a reliability nightmare. I cannot help but to question the true potential quality of this unit at the time of sale, as it is a 5 year old vehicle that has been well maintained, but is essentially falling apart (nothing has had anything to do with any open recall or known defect by Nissan). If all this money went to refurbishing the vehicle (I forget the exact term used) then, in light of all these very strange electrical issues which have only progressed over time, I seriously question how the vehicle passed an extensive inspection. What started out as many small issues shortly after purchase also turned into the A/C completely failing at 60k miles and an ongoing issue where the vehicle just randomly stalls at the light, and nobody can find the fix to it after several trips to the shop. It has very odd electrical quirks which occur at random, such as the panic system randomly going off, or the radio randomly adjusting on its own, blasting at full volume. Perhaps Nissans quality has just taken a serious nosedive, but these are very odd and serious issues to be experiencing in a 5 year old vehicle with now 81k miles. My 2017 trade in with 100k miles never once had any issue beyond routine maintenance. I have spent several thousand dollars and repairs are still ongoing; the aforementioned issues are not exhaustive. Given this, at minimum, I am requesting a refund of the refurbishing fee, because, given the quality of this unit, thats a joke, and even if it was in good condition at the time of sale, Nissan of McKinney was deceptive with this add on junk fee to begin with.

This concerns unfair or deceptive acts or practices by Nissan of Mckinney during my first car buying experience on Nov. 11, 2023. I have tried via-email to resolve the issues with ***********************, General Manager and Manager ***************************** since Dec. 27 and have received little response. Here are the main issues, (but not limited to these) that I feel are unfair or deceptive acts or practices by Nissan of Mckinney: 1. I was sold a number of vague services and fees ($5,838) even though I declined them. This increased the price of the $18k vehicle by 32%. These fees were given vague names such as consumer services, dealer installed option, recondition and zaktek ultimate.* These terms are shown in sales paperwork in attachments below.2. The paperwork on my purchase is incomplete and misleading. In the document that I do have, there is listed at least 5 prices for the Rogue and 3 different finance rates listed. I have no documentation which tells me what any of the above charges mean or benefits they purport to convey to me. 3. I was pressured to purchase a Mechanical Protection Plan extend warranty in order to receive a lower finance interest rate. I believe this is coercive tied selling and may be illegal. 4. The salesman switched the talk from selling price, to talk of monthly payment as a means to help hide all the vague services and fees that were being added. 5. You might have actually sold me this 4 year old car at a higher price than its original MSRP in 2019. Does Nissans finance arm (NMAC) make it a habit to loan more money than a car is worth? Since I put $9,000 cash down, this allowed you wiggle room to finance in $5,800 of worthless services and thin air.6. These issues are ongoing at your dealership. ******************, in a 42 minute recorded phone conversation confirms that it is accepted and routine practice. Therefore, in the future consumers who are less observant will also fall victim to these same deceptive practices.

      **************,

Thank you for your attention to this matter. However, you continue to avoid addressing you dealerships unfair or deceptive acts or practices. Ive also emailed this to *****************.

I have been emailing you since December. I call your dealership and you are never in because you manage so many other dealerships. I have spent more than 1.5 hrs on the phone with you managers getting the run around. Your dealership is more than an hour roundtrip from my house. So we have to do this in the public forum of the BBB and the **** Call me right now at ************ if you somehow cant believe that I exist.

So again I ask what is your response to your unfair or deceptive acts or practices? How can you advertise a car for $18k and sell it for almost 24K? Why did I pay for Nissan Certification AND Reconditioning AND Mechanical Protection Plan extend warranty all just to get a decent finance rate? What is ******** Services and why did I pay $1,000 for it?

Ive been trying to figure out which route to take for the past year but was not knowledgeable enough. I purchased a 2022 Nissan Titan in about June 2022 for around $48,000. When we arrived at the dealership they were claiming to have a red tag sale and had wrote that the truck was worth $10,000 more than what it was priced at. This was then great news for us as we wanted to get rid of any negative equity we were sitting under from the **** Explorer we were in. Throughout the purchasing process, they kept saying how greatly this was helping us. All this information was inaccurate as I started seeing the same color, trim level, year for the $48,000 that were not on sale as early as the day after. This truck never goes for that much unless its a premium choice. If I knew this from this front the start, I NEVER WOULD HAVE PROCEEDED. I have three kids and wouldve much rather went for a family vehicle rather than a truck. Now Im setting in more negative equity than ever when we were told this what a GREAT investment. I need help on what to do. I have reached out to the dealership verbally to no response, I wrote a review explaining everything and just now followed up with a email several days ago that they provide under all their reviews and still nothing has been said. How can I get help with this? There are cameras at the location that can easily see from that day too.

Hello, I have limited information on the deal since it is over a year old and the deal is not stored onsite.  But it does look like they adjusted the price up $10,000 on the final contract to allow for more on the trade in allowance to cover the negative equity that the customer knew they had.  So the discount on the truck was applied.  I would be happy to discuss the matter in person or help them try to trade out.  However, trading into a car with negative equity doesnt make the negative go away.  That is there till it is paid down.

      Hello,

I have exchanged several emails with ********************.  I understand his complaint however, the vehicle is in his son's name and we are not at liberty to discuss any information with anyone other than the customer, including their parent.  I have offered to meet with his son and have offered to discuss this matter in person and so far, the father has refused.  To this day, I have not ever heard from the actual customer.

So, unless the actual customer contacts me and is willing to meet, I cannot assist in the father's complaint.  At the end of the day, I do have a signed contract and everything was legally and properly disclosed.  However, if he believes there was a misunderstanding and wants me to help resolve the issue, than have his son, contact me and set up a time to meet.

      ****************,

Thank you for your prompt reply to this Better Business Bureau complaint. However, your response totally ignores all discussion of you business ongoing unfair and deceptive practices.
Your only response to those ongoing unfair and deceptive practices was to claim that I didnt have permission to speak on my sons behalf.

We have no desire to return to your dealership, we wish all future correspondence to be in writing.

So, lets clear up the FRIVOLOUS ISSUE of permissions:

In a 42 minute recorded phone call with ********************* on Nov 17, 2023, ******* gave me permission to talk about you dealerships deceptive practices. ****************** spoke to me openly about all the make believe fees your dealership added to my sons debt and then hid in incomplete paperwork. I have copies of the same confusing paperwork in my hands that my son does.
On december 28th, in email conversation with *****************************, and CCed with my son, ************; gave permission for me to speak on his behalf.
Today feb 29, 2024, this afternoon ******* tried to call you and you were not there. ******* spoke in a recorder phone conversation with  *************************** at your dealership and again gave me permission to speak on his behalf.
Today feb 29, 2024, this evening ******* tried to call you and you were not there. ******* spoke in a recorder phone conversation with  ******************* at your dealership and again gave me permission to speak on his behalf.
Ive attached a signed ************* of ******** form that ******************** spoke of us needing.

So, now lets get back to the REAL ISSUES of your unfair or deceptive acts or practices:

      1. He was sold a number of vague services and fees ($5,838) even though he declined them. This increased the price of the  $18k vehicle by 32%. These fees were given vague names such as consumer services, dealer installed option, recondition and zaktek ultimate.* These terms are shown in sales paperwork that you might be able to find.
      2. The paperwork on his purchase is incomplete and misleading.  In the document that I do have, there is listed at least 5 prices for the Rogue and 3 different finance rates listed. I have no documentation which tells me what any of the above charges mean or benefits they purport to convey to me.
      3. He was pressured to purchase a Mechanical Protection Plan extend warranty in order to receive a lower finance interest rate. I believe this is coercive tied selling and may be illegal.
      4. The salesman switched the talk from selling price, (which at the time was $17,977) to talk of monthly payment as a means to help hide all the vague services and fees that were being added.
      5. You might have actually sold ******* this 4 year old car at a higher price than its original MSRP in 2019. Does Nissan **************** Corp. make it a habit to loan more money than a car is worth? This sounds like a whole other can of worms.
      6. These issues are ongoing at your dealership. ******************, in a 42 minute recorded phone conversation confirms that it is accepted and routine practice. Therefore, in the future consumers who are less observant will also fall victim to these same deceptive practices.

I am asking your help in resolving these issues by refunding to ******* ( or pay on his loan balance) :
      $2995.00 for recondition
      $149.00 for consumer services
      $699.00 for Zaktek Ultimate
$1995 for whatever you called that charge (the non-existent Nissan certification)

$5838 total to be refunded to *******************************

********.Exhibit01 is the orginal online ad for his car with the $17,977 price

********.Exhibit2 are 2 of the confusing doccuments, showing different prices for the vehicle. This photo also shows the undefined fees od "consumer services" "dealer installed option", ""reconditioning" and "Zaktek Ultimate.

These are "Dealer added Accessories" which total $5,838. This photo also shows ""dealer inventtory ***************** tax" for $1,488.44. Is this finance tax different than ***** state sales tax?

********.Exhibit4 Shows that ******* put down $9,000 in cash. If he had not put so much down, I suspect that Nissan Motor Credit would never have financed $25K for a 4 yr old Nissan Rouge. My son putting $9,000 down alllowed this dealership to tack on $5,838 of "Dealer added Accessories" , which amounts golden fairy dust and no tangible accessory. Also can the dealership even charge sales tax on these non-tangible "Dealer added Accessories"?

********.Exhibit5 More confusing numbers that might be duplicated. This also shows the $1,300 ******* paid for the Service Contract to MPP which they told ******* he needed to purhcase in order to get a better interest rate.

********.Exhibit6 Even more, different prices for this same car. None of which is the advertized price of $17,977. And again showing that he paid sales tax on "Dealer added Accessories" which are non-existant, can't be touched or counted or measured. It's not even nitrogen in the tires or a pineapple scented rear view mirror tangly-thing.

I was going in to make an easy transaction. I was willing to pay the $14,999 they had a Nissan Pathfinder they had advertised online. They come out with the paperwork for it and there's a $3,000 "reconditioning fee" added to it. I asked and they said this is what they charge to recondition a vehicle. After I told them in my 25 years of car buying I've never heard of something so ridiculous they took it off. I guess this is to gauge how stupid the person buying the car is.I should've just walked out, but when they brought the vehicle back down to normal price I agreed to come back the next day to finish the paperwork with financing. Financing said all they could find was a 21% financing offer BUT if I bought a $1,900 2 year warranty they could get me down to 14.8. Amazing! So I did, and while I didn't catch it then I did when I got the first bill that they charged me $15,680 for the car advertised for $14,999. Just insane. Then in driving this car, which is an absolute lemon, and it has a myriad of issues. I bring it back upset and they took it for the day. Said it needed a new battery to fix my electrical issues I was having, and the brakes and transmission are fine (they absolutely are not), and that the sunroof needed a $3100 repair that they can't cover. So I speak to financing and they told me to take it over to the in charge guy at service. He told me to bring it in the next day, the boss boss wanted to take a look at it. I bring it back and AMAZING!! It DIDNT need a $3100 repair, it was just the track was off. I guess they were still seeing if they could get that original $3000 from me. They still won't admit the transmission and brakes need repair. So now I have a Pathfinder with transmission and brake issues, and a very convinced opinion I'll never buy another Nissan. The invoice I'm including is from the vehicle I JUST drove off the lot days earlier. They didn't even bother to look under the hood of this vehicle before they threw it on the lot. You figure they'd at least fill the windshield washer reservoir, but no. Not even an attempt to make it seem like they looked at this car after they got it from trade-in or an auction for $5000. You can see on the repair estimate the brakes were at 5MM, which is cautionary, but they figured that's good enough to sell.

The owner of the business just called me and threatened legal action against me because they realized after they rushed me out the door with the lemon they sold me that they needed my old address to get the title for my trade in.

I'm having a sign made and I'll be picketing outside on their sidewalk to warn others to stay away from this business and buy elsewhere.

The dealership has offered to put me into a different car. This hasn't been done yet because nothing in their stock in my price range was a vehicle I could use, but this is the intention moving forward. I will update if this plan is followed through.

Nissan of Mckinney sold me a lemon car on 5/31/23 that I put a down payment of $2500 on. The car broke down 9/5/23 and I was informed the warranty they sold me worth $3k does not cover the repair cost of $8,533.74. The repair cost is nearly the same amount of my total auto loan ($9,415.00) which is the combined cost of the vehicle and the warranty.

-Date: 08/12/2023 -Amount paid: $843.30 -I asked for solely on the A/C repair: it was the 3rd and the result and condition was the same: poor.-Nature of dispute: I demand/require refund of $843.30 because the A/C condition was the same BEFORE and AFTER the repair. They worked on other mechanic things which I did not ask for; I only asked for solely on the A/C part, and yet the A/C still have the problem and not cold enough. -On 3rd time I came there and dropped off my 2008 Xterra for A/C repair job. The condition remained the same: not cold when on stop; and pretty cold when fast driving. They did not solve the A/C problem as solely the part and I require the refund. -Account/order number: Invoice #: ******; Customer #: *******; VIN #: *****************.

we found several issues with the Xterra air conditioner.  Unfortunately we would not be able to do a full diagnosis until we fixed the broken parts.  After replacing them we discoverd that it also needs a compressor.  We have offered to fix it for just the price of the part and no labor charged.  The compressor cost would be $824 plus tax.  However, if he would like to do it, I will drop the price to $650 total.  Let me know if this is acceptable and we can get it ordered.

      Thank you-

I bought a 2023 on March 4th, 2023, I was advised by the sales person that it included tinted glass, MSRP also shows that I got tinted glass, Since I live 30 Miles east of ***********, it was not feasable for me to return to McKinney, just to get the car windows tinted. I have spoken to the Gen. ***** Manager and he agreed that he would be willing to pay for a person to do the tint in my area only if I gave them an excellent survey. I don't see what one has to do with the other, but he wanted me to do the survey first before paying for the tint. At this point I did not trust him or the Nissan of McKinney, so I left a message for the General Manager and I never heard from him. I was appalled that they would even ask that the survey be completed in lieu of getting the tint that I paid for. I got 3 different stories on the tint. 1. that I did not pay for it. 2. that I paid a negotiated price for it. 3. that I signed a statement that nothing else was promised. I don't want anything extra, I just want to be compensated for what I paid for and did not get. All they have to do is look at the dealer added equipment and services that was attached to the window sticker shows 1.Lifetime Digicut Tint $399, Lifetime Nitrogen $399, Locking Wheel Bolts $399, Pre Delivery Inspection $399 and Market adjustment of $2000 what I bought
