I am filing this complaint regarding Mid-South Electric coop for their failure to consistently provide mailed invoices (on-time), an issue that has persisted for years despite my repeated attempts to resolve it with their customer support. We continue to receive text messages indicating that our bill is due on a specific date, but no invoice is ever received. As seniors who rely on mailed invoices, this situation has caused us significant stress and inconvenience. We suspect this delay may be a tactic to impose late fees or even threaten utility shut-offs, which is deeply concerning and feels exploitative. If the company insists on sending text reminders, they should at least include the invoice amount to provide transparency.I am asking the Better Business Bureau to investigate this matter and assist in holding Mid-South Electric coop accountable for their practices. Customers should not have to struggle to access basic billing information for an essential service. If it helps, we are residence in ******************Thank you for your time and assistance.

Very unhappy with Midsouth Electric and the way they handled my situation. First time my bill has gone passed in 3 years and it was due the fact that my daughter was in hospital and I hadnt worked. ***** came to disconnect but gave me some time to call and try to work something out, but they just wouldnt work with me even when I told them I had a new born and currently using a G-Tube she needed her machine connected to supplement her feeds. I was forced to spend the last money I had that was for food and formula because they wouldnt help to top it off I wasnt even a whole month late it was only 16 days. They like to bully in my area because they are the only service we can get here wouldnt recommend them to no one.

Tried to settle an account with them and they would not budge or help me even when I pointed out they were charging me for the new persons account connection and that they charged me 5 days past the day I filled out the form that my house sold and they could close my account. They didnt care and referred me to Online Collections who has NEVER called me back or anything and have been messaging them for 6 months. I submitted 3 disputes with the collections company all of which were ignored and then they reported to my credit having never even contacted me. Mid south is horrible and does not care about the customer.

Mid-South Entergy - Grimes, Walker, and Montgomery Counties, After we paid Mid-South about $13,000 to move two poles from the middle of our property to the back of the 1.6 acres, Mid-South came back with an easement for us to sign the right-of-way to put towers and/or everything else as they wish on our small property. Now understand, that they didn't get the easements back when they first put the poles up in the place. Now, they have been paid and want us to give them a blanket easement for everything/anything because they didn't do it. Be very careful with these guys and don't sign anything until you talk to your attorney. There were no easements shown to Mid-South for the poles (almost) in the center of the lot preventing us from building because of the power poles/lines. It has been over 7months since we have been talking to Mid-South and paid them to cut the trees down for the power poles and line to be moved. The work is not finished on their end yet. I have reached out to Mid-Souths CIO Kerry ****** with no success. It has been a nightmare working with a coop that we are a member of. These guys are a coop and don't have to follow PUC guidelines. I would give them a minus 5 stars for not being a cooperative that helps their own people.
