My family went to the Schlitterbahn Waterpark in *************** on July 23, 2024, while we were there on vacation. About 30 minutes after we paid and entered the park it was announced that the rides were closing due to the weather as it started to rain and the wind picked up. We were then told to go to the service desk where I requested a refund for the $303.04 spent on four tickets. But instead of a refund I was emaied 4 digital tickets were sent more tickets to use at a later date. The problem is my vacation ended and returned home. Now Schlitterbahn Galveston refuses to refund our $303.They keep teelling me that I can use the tickets, but I live 300 miles away and have no intention to spend more money to go to ********* just to usewaterpark tickets. My bank refunded mre the money but on September 2 I woke up to an overdraft on my account because they reversed the charge and refuse the refund. I am being forced to pay for tickets I cannot use.The park took in a lot of money from a lot of the people that day and a lot of those people were probably like me and was there for a few days and weren't able to get what they paid for because God let it rain. This money making business lost nothing, but hard working families did.

They were offering $95 season passes on social media and even on their website. Didn't specify online pricing only on anything. Assumed that was the general rate at the time so bought passes as soon as they opened, in person. They didn't tell me the price of the passes and just rang me up. I assumed it was so high because of the taxes and/or fees. When I realized I was charged $105 instead of the $95 I contacted them. No apology, no refund of the difference, no other compensation like a drink package when we all know drinks cost pennies. They did nothing to make me feel better. They're just happy with taking my money. They'd rather refund an unused pass and lose $95 then refund me the $40 or basically have me "pay" for a drink package. Make it make sense. Their greed is insane.

At some point in the last several years, Cedar Fair has taken over Schlitterbahn waterparks. The New Braunfels location sent me an ad for half off general admission sale. (It was a short sale, so the sale no longer appears on the park website.) Half off an 80 dollar ticket is a good deal, so I got two.We drive an hour two the park only to be informed that the ticket is no good in Saturdays. The ticket didn't say this. The ad they sent didn't say this. It said the ticjrt needed to be used in July, but nothing about blackout dates. So we ended up paying full door price -- MUCH more than if we had just bought tickets online the morning of. I've been going to Schlitterbahn for 30 years. Today was my last visit.

I brought my grandchildren to the water park on June 5,2023. Disappointed in all the construction and the food fries in park 2, but what really broke the visit wonderful day was when (4) Grandchildren and I left the second park we were walking out the gate , I asked the lady is this the way to go she stated are you riding the bus or driving, I said riding the bus she said yes , its so much construction we walked out the gate dat by an elderly worker talking he said youll should walk down their to catch the bus and we did when we arrive to the other gate I had no idea what to Expect, TROUBLE The girl at the gate told us we could not get on the bus because we did not past thru security I explain everything I stated above she said wait to the side after two buses I said when Can we get on ?She stated wait youll haven pasted thru security I showed her our stamps ages **** and 64 years old she says again wait I cannot allow you to skip these people , I said ok, when that next bus cane we just walked on. The girl came on the bus and said ***** will have to get off I said why she stated my manager said do. I said no we tired and wet we need to get to the resort , she insist I said no she called Security on us very embarrassing and the man said we asked youll to get off because I was causing a scene really this made no sense to just get a ride back but after all this we walked all the way back to the front of the second gate where we started to get on one of the same busses Security ***** and I think ******-but the ***************** act like he didnt understand I just dont know after we waited I understand skipping those other people in line but if we had to walked all the way back anyway I asked the girl what do you want me to do she could have said go back all around and go thru security again and wait in line simple I was calm and corporative until she called security just to make us get off the bus with stamps and tags from the resort on our wrist my name is *****

We are on our way home from having lots of summer fun at Schlitterbahn New Braunfels! However, do yourself a favor and never stay at the *****************. The accommodations are shockingly terrible considering the fact that you pay $550 per night (plus the cost of tickets/season passes) with no extra perk of early access to the park like they used to offer for patrons who stayed on property. If only I was able to attach pictures. Disgusting! The unit we stayed in smelled like mold, had holes in the walls, floors popping up, a dryer that doesnt work, doors that are falling apart, vents that are falling out, rusted and/or have mold growing around them, beds that were broken, and door k**** about to fall off. The air conditioning was basically non existent upstairs where all the bedrooms were. Additionally, the full kitchen did not include any cooking utensils (such as spatulas), no dish towels or a kitchen sponge, no skillet or pan to **** simple meals such as scrambled eggs, no cookie sheet, no oven mitts, and had two plastic cups for a place that sleeps ****. Extremely disappointed in the maintenance of this rental property.

Prior to the pandemic, my family had stayed at the resort for 5 *******. We did not stay last year (2021) or the year before (2020), due to COVID concerns. During this time, it is evident that the waterpark was bought out and there are new owners. We stayed for 2 nights / 3 days, spending almost $1800. One of the 'perks' to staying at the resort USED TO BE that you would get access to the water park an hour early, as well as have access to the water park an hour after everyone leaves - neither of these are true anymore. Additionally, one of the main attractions, The Falls, was CLOSED during our stay. It appears that this ride is only open on weekends. Nowhere on their website does it say this. What their website DOES say, BURIED deep in the site, is this: "*While we do our best to open attractions based on our posted schedule, availability can change without notice." They called me 4 days prior to arrival to confirm that I was still coming - this, perhaps, should have been my first red flag. They did not mention that there was a possibility that rides would be closed but DID make a point of mentioning that early/late access to the park no longer come with resort-stays. There is no discount for staying at the resort, rather than buying tickets for the day, so you're MUCH better off just staying at a short-term rental/Airbnb. We stayed at one of the Riverbend cabins, checking in on a Monday, out on Wednesday. We were not offered an early check-in, despite there being nobody in our cabin. As it turns out, the ** WAS BROKEN, which we only found out because we went to enter, and there were people inside working on the unit. When we contacted ***** Services, there was no apology or explanation - simply a move to another COMPLETELY RUN-DOWN, DELAPITATED unit. The Ceiling fan in the living area was about to come off so we could not use it. The sofa was SO LUMPY that you couldn't sit on it, comfortably. When we opened the sleeper sofa, there were TWO FINGERNAILS inside
