There are gaps in the edges of the concrete slab that they poured. They won't return to my house to fix it. They won't return my calls or texts.Customer response

My concrete slab was poured at the beginning of December 2022. I first contacted the owner of J&D Concrete, *********************, on December 10th expressing concern with the slab. He told me that he had more work to do on it and would need to come back to complete it. He has not done that and we already paid him in full. I have contacted him several times since then and he still has not come. Attached are text messages between him and I with pictures showing what he needs to fix. I have also left him many voicemails which he doesn't return.Initial Complaint

********************* with J&D Concrete was hired on Sep 3d 2021 to pour a concrete slab and extension to my concrete driveway in my backyard, for $12,600. He collected $4,320.41 in 3 draws to do the slab. He excavated a lot of dirt for the slab and piled it in the middle of my backyard. He cracked the existing portion of the driveway with his equipment and left some concrete stains on it due to several spills that occurred while moving concrete from the street to the backyard, using my personal wheelbarrow that he ended up breaking... He damaged the skirting of my house on several spots with his bobcat. He then requested another draw of $4,300 to proceed with the rest of the project. I paid the $4,300 on nov 9 2021. He is now ignoring my texts and ended up blocking my number. I reached out to his partner who's name is on the permit. At first, his partner appeared to be concerned and willing to find a satisficing resolution, even came several times to the job site to see what needed to be done. After a couple months of empty promises, he became quite aggressive and demanded that I "never ever call him again". I am now left with an unfinished slab (anchor bolts never placed in, destroyed backyard, significant pile of dirt on my property, a cracked and stained pre-existing driveway, damage skirting of the house, and no driveway in the backyard. **************** is obviously not willing to finish the job he was hired and paid for ($8,620.41 out of the $12,600, so ****%). This is unacceptable. I request a refund for the work he did not do, and a compensation for the extra expenses I am now forced to have to fix it.
