I was charged ***** on 06/25/2024, my modem was received nearly two weeks later after several calls made to this company. The past 4 days, I have not been able to connect to the internet, and finally got to speak to someone on 07/18/2024 and was told that my current plan was the 300mbps for $79.95 plan. I quickly informed her that I was charged ***** and have the bank statement to prove my statement. Theyre working on getting me an upgraded modem and account credited and quickly hung up the phone in the middle of me trying to get more information concerning my account, the amount charged, and so forth. I can and WILL gladly provide any and all information to the BBB to have this issue recognized and handled appropriately, and within a timely manner. I want resolution, without additional charges due to their inability to notify paying customers within a timely manner, and if necessary, a pre-paid shipping label emailed to me so I can send all of their items back. I have already pre-boxed everything ready for shipment and have taken photos in case they try to claim that there is damage to ANYTHING that was loaned to me.Nomad Internet Response

I started my internet service search for our rural home in Feb. 2024. I chatted several times making sure Nomad had exactly what I needed, and they did. ******************* in the **************** Chat was extremely helpful and downright honest with me each time not telling me what I needed but letting me know what options were available, including any discounts that the person who first told me about Nomad could earn for referrals !!We ordered the modem at no cost (part of that referral program), paid for the *** card, which all arrived within the 7 - 10 days. Set up was a breeze & went off without a hitch. We have the bill set to automatic payment from our bank ~Fast forward four months into the *********** noticed I had been billed for Prime Upgrade @ $10 & Internet Travel Upgrade @ $ ***** each month for the last three months. Yikes ! How did I forget those "Trial Add Ons" that were on my first ************** of my original agreement.No worries, I opened a Chat, the person I got was once again, ******************* ~ so grateful for that !********************* my concerns and without hesitation let me know it was not a problem, it happens, and he put in a request to discontinue these services including a credit for the three months that these items had automatically been paid for from my bank.***** is an asset to this company ~ I chatted with three other people over the last six months and ***** was the most knowledgeable and communicated the best out of them all.We are extremely satisfied with our Nomad Internet service to date.Nomad Internet Response

Trying to cancel service is awful. They will tell you a price and charge a complete different price higher at that. They well sell you the box then tell you send it back undamaged. And when they get the box back will tell you its damaged. How was I getting service if the box damaged. **************** is awful. I had to go through my Credit card company to get them to refund my money back. Do not buy find another companyNomad Internet Response

After reviewing your account, we are still awaiting the arrival of your device in order to cancel your account. If your device was returned within the 14-day money back period, you will receive a refund. If you are outside of the 14 days, per Nomads Terms of Service you are no longer eligible for the membership fee refund. Terrible terrible terrible customer service and they charge you hundreds of dollars to borrow a modem! And when you try to cancel and tell them hey I just paid for the month and at the end of the month I want it canceled due to outrageous pricing for super unreliable internet speeds and connectivity! So they decide to try to say hey we can do a small discount for a couple months and due to the terrible WiFi I didnt see the email for 2 days due to being in rural area that this is advertised to work in and it not working. So they just shut my service off 6 days into the month that I just payed for and told them I was going to use! And they are slow to respond and have very poor customer service! So they took my money for a service for the month and then cancelled and and wont refund or turn the service on for the remainder of the month! Nomad internet is a scam and just a money grab. They will not meet advertised standards not even close and will be slow to respond and make it difficult to cancel apparently until they can charge you for a month and cancel it right after they receive the money for the month again paid for a service and they do not provide and will shut it off on youNomad Internet Response

Good evening, we are sorry that you feel as though our service is not up to your standards. You reached out on July 2, 2024 and we responded to that email multiple times before proceeding with the cancellation, per your original request, on July 5th. Writing this as a "previous" customer as of June 22, 2024. I used ********************** for 10 months as I traveled around the ** with my significant other looking for our new home. The service, based on ******* and their "Raptor" modem, was excellent compared to all other providers and equipment that I tried. I was even able to get rid of my 15' antenna. The service has been excellent! It's a growing company run by human beings trying to automate as much as possible while keeping a human touch. Don't get me wrong, things can and did fall through the cracks on my end and on Nomad Internet's end. But we we learned and made it right together. All of my errors and mistakes as well as Nomads errors and mistakes were rectified in a timely manner via chat and email.In short, I've experienced fewer difficulties and had greater success overcoming changes just by talking to them via chats and emails than I've had with ANY other Internet provider since I started testing prior to our traveling adventures. If there's more roaming about the country to be done in the future, Nomad Internet is my choice for a stable connection and caring people.Nomad Internet Response

I wouldn't of ordered this if I knew about them being revoked by the BBB beforehand. I ordered a modem, never received it. I was able to finally reach customer service after two days on their ******** account, since their website chat wouldn't connect me, and their number doesn't work. They stopped responding after I asked for a refund for the money I spent on the modem already, they claimed I needed to send them more money for internet service, so they could assure the modem worked correctly before sending it, I did not see anywhere I had to pay for Internet service before I received the modem on their website, very misleading. They stopped responding completely when I asked for a refund on the modem I already bought, and now I can't get them to respond. I spent 180$ on a modem, that they refused to send unless I sent them more money for the actual Internet service plan, and now are refusing to respond to me for my refund. DO NOT ORDER NOMAD INTERNET!!! SCAM!!Nomad Internet Response

Good afternoon, we resolved this customers issues in less than 3 hours after her request. The order was cancelled, and a refund was processed. She received pictures of the cancellation and processed refund. The refund will be back in her account in 3-5 business days.Review from Nicole K
