We hired Kingdom Construction in 2022 to complete roof repair and ceiling damage. There was a particular spot on our roof that was asked to be reviewed. I was told that it was fine and it was just reshingled, a few months later my sons bathroom began leaking. We informed Kingdom Construction of this through the owner *****, it took months to finally get somebody out and fix it. Not to mention this person showed up unannounced after the roof repair was completed it took us months to get a painter out. Finally the painter came out and completed the patch, and said hed come back to add texture, no showed on us. then I reached out to ***** to obtain information of when this was going to be completed and have been unable to get a solid response from him, and three days later I am still waiting on a reply. This has been going on since our repair in 2022 all throughout last year and to the current month.

      Good morning,

The roof was repaired,  the repair was outside of the trailer, and my crew didn't need to go in the house. However, the customer was given a day that the repair was going to take place. The technician showed up that day and fixed the problem.  As for the inside repair to ceiling. In the environment that we have been thrusted in by unrealistic expectations from works and customer alike, it is very difficult to get people to do anything they say their going to do.

My painter showed up and patched the hole. He told the customer that he would be back the next day, and didn't showed. I then needed to find someone else to finish the repair at a cost to me but no cost to the customer.  I used to be able to do these repairs myself, do to a heart condition that I have as a result of being hospitalized for COVID,  I am no longer able. I think that people should step back and allow for things to move forward.  After receiving notice that this customer contacted the ********************. I found it hard to bend over backwards, especially when I gave them a price for replacing their that was thousands of dollars less than my competitors. If this customer would agree to taking this complaint down, I will finish the repair that should take about one and a half hours.

      Thank you

      Complaint: 21405071

I am rejecting this response because:

We are choosing to reject the companys reply/option for reconciliation, due to the lack of professionalism.  We will add the texture ourselves to finalize the repair that was never completed.  We wish to end our relationship with Kingdom Construction and leave the complaint on file, we were stood up more than once and have not been happy with the way anything has unfolded following the completion of our roof. ***** called my husband on February 29,2024 to schedule a visit to analyze the ceiling at our home. On March 1, 2024,***** came to our home and took pictures of the damage from the leaking area. ***** informed my husband that a painter would be out on Monday, March 4th at 4:00 PM, which did happen.  Once we did get the painter to come out, the hole was repaired, and my husband and I were told he would be returning the next day. The painter then did not return on March 5th, with no call or reason as to why from the painter or from Kingdom Construction.  When we contacted ***** regarding this occurrence March 6th 2024, ***** stated that the painter had some things going on and he would need to hire another painter to complete the work he was unable to tell me when the repair could be completed. On March 7th  I sent a follow up text message and received no reply, March 8th  we reached out to ***** again as by now we were very frustrated and wanted the repair to be done.  March 8th ***** messaged my husband asking when he would be home next, my husband informed ***** that he was currently home, ***** never replied. The lack of communication, the fact that ***** vented to my husband about another customer we referred to him (my grandmother) for not choosing his company and stating that he had a hard time getting back to us because of the fact that my grandmother chose someone else (very unprofessional). We were told that the wood above the guest bathroom did not need to be replaced initially when the roof was repaired due to the wood being solid then this leak later began,an employee of ****** showed up sometime after we had reported the leak and had repaired the roof without announcing they had arrived. Please know that this situation began before Thanksgiving 2023, and ***** had asked my husband to allow until after the Thanksgiving holiday. Whenever my husband contacted ***** after Thanksgiving 2023, ***** never contacted my husband back.  ***** then informed my husband when he arrived March 1st , that the reason he took so long getting back to us was because he found it hard to work on our home due to him being upset that he was not chosen to do the work for my grandmother.

      Respectfully,
      *********** and ***********************

We hired this contractor to complete a bathroom remodel and door installation. He took a deposit from us and then never returned to do the work. He told us to order all of our materials and gave us a start date and timeline. All of our materials arrived and when the start date arrived nobody ever came to do the project. We contacted several times and he became angry then claimed he couldnt work with us and wouldnt be completing the project that he never started. He claimed he would return the deposit to us and never did so. We contacted him several times regarding the deposit and he stopped responding. Weve heard from other contractors now that this is a repeated issue with this man *****************************. This individual needs to be shut down.

Thank you for the opportunity to answer this complaint from the *********. I received a total of $2900 from this customer. The first meeting was sort of one sided, the couple were DIY customers, I was told that they only want the company to do several portions of different parts of their house renovation. One of which was to remove and reinstall two over sized patio doors. The doors were on order and were going to be delivered. Based on the couple telling me, they had a very limited budget, I gave them an extremely good price to install the two patio door and the two side windows, in *** of the over all scope of work.

The doors arrived,  I reschedule a crew to come and install, I was told that the old door didn't really lock, so I had my guy's install in one day to secure the house. I told the ********* that we would not be able to start the other work until I finished the job that I was on and, delayed to install their doors. From this point the ********* became impossible to deal with. Let me say again that this customer was a DIY CUSTOMERS.  They insisted that I should come out right away and start the other work, I told them again that I needed to finish my other job. Also told them I did them a favor by installing their doors right when they were delivered, for a total cost of $900 for the two door and $100 per window.

When the attitude continued I told them that I was not going to work under these conditions.

Let me summarize by saying the average cost to remove and install oversized patio doors is $1000 to $1200 per door, plus an average of $250 per windows. This would total approximately $2500 or more for the work that they received. I feel that this customer is not justified in smearing my companies good name.

      Complaint: 21396715

I am rejecting this response because of incorrect information provided by the business owner.

We were provided a contract which I have attached here that outlines the cost of each project that we agreed on. When the door installation was completed we were given a start date for the bathroom project. That date came and went with no work being done and no additional dates provided. We did continue to ask what the anticipated start date would be with no response. When ***** decided he would not be continuing to work with us he informed us he would be returning the 2000 deposit (outlined in the contract). We have this statement in writing where he claimed to have mailed the check. No check was received. We asked if we could come pick up the check and he stopped responding to us. We have been unable to make contact with ***** until this response to my BBB complaint.

We certainly agree that moving forward with Kingdom Construction would not have been a productive experience for either party. When ***** informed us he did not want to move forward with the project and he planned to send back the deposit we were relieved. However, the money was never sent back.

The response sent to my complaint appears to be ****** attempt at justifying why he kept our deposit. The bottom line is a contract was signed and money is owed to us. We would like to be paid what we are owed so we can move forward. Legal actions will be pursued if it cannot be resolved civilly.

      Regards,

This customer is not telling the truth. He is saying that he gave me money and recived nothing in return as if I'm intended to defraud from the beginning.  He is not telling you that I sent workers to install the two over sized sliding doors and the two windows a very time after they arrived. So their house can be secure.  No I'm not the one telling lies here. No I am not the criminal. I feel that the work that was done needed to be paid for. My resolution is to recive a written apology for the wrongful criminal remark. Also I will refund $1000, with that I think this will be a win win, they had their doors and windows installed and I will have broke even.
