1/18/24 Business deceptively and questionably sells deals for oil change on Groupon, but when you use the service they do not mention about over charging before the service, but after the service, they overcharge more than the Groupon price effectively almost doubling the price of the service deal. They do not mention anything in the fine print. I am uploading the screen shot of the fine print on their deal.Business response

Good evening , the customer is providing false information , the shop did not mislead any information neither were we deceptive . Our groupon campaign has been running since nov of 2020 and everything is listed clearly upon purchase. We have more than 2k vouchers bought over the years with no problems whatsoever. Everything is explained clearly upon purchase and also explained verbally at the shop by a technician before starting the service.
The explanation of additional fees is not listed on the fine print , as for groupon controls whats written there. But the additional info is listed right above the fine print clearly ! Cant be missed as the above photo shown .

I am rejecting this response because: The groupon had a $35 value, the normal charge without a Groupon at the business is $31, which includes oil filter and disposal. They cashed in my groupon and then charged me $14.05 on top of the Groupon $35 promised value at the time of sale. This is deceptive in many ways.

Went there for oil change they broke one of the screws, they told me that my car wouldn't be ready until sometimes tomorrow ( no definite time), did not offer me a lone and I had to pay for my own uber home. They also say I have to pay for the part that they broke and my oil change. When I told manager I had to work tomorrow and had things to do today he told me that they would only be able to reimburse me up to $100 of uber money I would have to spend to go home from their business and to go to work the next day. The next day is here, I have called the business multiple times ************, no answer all morning and it is **** at this timeBusiness response

For the first time customer (***************************** ) came in on 06-11-2023 (sunday) with a groupon voucher for an oil change , even though the customer did not call or make an appointment prior to service as suppose to , Staff still took her in and started with the oil change.
vehicle came in with an oil leak and tight drain plug from previous oil change , while the tech was taking out the drain plug half of it broke and the other half was stuck inside the oil pan . Manager was not on sight but kind enough to call the customer and explain to her what was going on and offered her free labor to take the drain plug and fix her problem without no labor charge . Customer agreed to the services. (Note labor was almost 3hrs of work worth $360)
Shop and management, did agree to reimburse the customer her uber rides because it was a sunday and no mechanics where on sight to fix her problem on the same day . customer also agreed and left with an uber.
Next day monday 06/12/2023 mechanics came in and fixed her problem , shop contacted Aresha to pick up her vehicle
shop also reimbursed Aresha a total of $48.17 in cash for her uber rides , please view attached invoice and notes above.

I am rejecting this response because: He is lying I talked to him on the phone, he told me that he didnt have a car available for me to borrow but could reimburse me up to $100 in Uber. I was told by guy that broke my s**** that he would be the one fixing it, I did not have an oil leak that was never mentioned. What business will just fix a car and oil leak for free my car was kept over night, they didnt answe phone throughout most of morning next day. Manager called me after seeing review saying everything was a lie. But again who does a $300 labor job for free but charge me for to replace screw? He is a bad manager, owner or whatever his title is and I wasnt paid for all my Uber rides. The conversation was recorded. Should I get lawyers and play what I was told? Its no telling how many other customers hes lied on. I have a ats luxury Cadillac that I take good care of. Kwik kar is a ***************** your car oil change that never requires an appointment. Hes a liar and hopefully you guys investigate his business. Kwik kar advertising, pull up pull in stay in your car 15 minutes oil changes. Why would he pay for any of my u era if he never agreed to it? Hes a liar BBB

A Shop is not reliable to give a loaner neither is a shop reliable to reimburse on uber . Out of generosity the manager spoke to her on the phone and told her that the shop will reimburse the uber rides because unfortunally it was a Sunday and the manager was off site. We are very known for our honest work and repairs , we are also very known for our customer service and hospitality.
Yes the vehicle came in with an oil leak and yes the vehicle came in with a super tight drain plug and yes the uber rides were reimbursed in full as the receipts where shown. Shop has everything documented along with photos , videos and recordings.
Regarding the labor fee manager discarded it because the problem happened at our shop, and since we look out for our customers we try to help in every possible way, but unfortunately not every one deserves it.

I am rejecting this response because:This business lied about everything. I have my car now, they did break the s**** and now acting like they were just looking out for a customer. I have the whole conversation recorded; I told the manager that when he called me after reading my complaint. I contacted other establishment with same name i even called corporate to report my problem. This place has a 1 star review and I will be sure to check reviews in the future. The worker that broke the part on my car is who offered uber after stating no loaner cars were available, He then called the manager, and the manager repeated the same thing as the worker had previously stated. After reading reviews the BBB should investigate this company. This franchise is very dishonest and the corporate office was quick to let me know that he was a franchise and that is not how the *************** runs business.

22 February, I took my car in for an oil change. The on Friday March 11th while driving home from work I noticed a knocking noise in the engine, apon returning to work the next morning I noticed an oil puddle so I checked my cars oil and sure enough it was bone dry, so I took it to a different kwik Kar to have it looked at. They informed me that knocking was obviously caused by the lack of oil and that it had undeniably leaked from the oil filter and to contact the kwik Kar who did it as they are a different franchise, so naturally I called them up imfomed them of what was going on and they said that if it where there fault it would have leaked out before I made it home, how ever I my self have worked in traides for years and I understand stand that not everything fails in a catastrophic manner and all shops I've called have confirmed that a slow leak is very possible later on while I speaking with them a 2nd time I was being asked a bunch of loaded questions that would absolved them of fault on whats a clearly a recorded line, which is very shady and underhanded, after I was not answering thier questions as intended they insisted that I give them the address of where the car is parked so they could look at witch I refused as I have no faith that they earnestly would look at it so I requested to file a clame with there insurance he said he would get back to me and it has now been over 72hrs since that conversation and I have not heard back, I am looking for them to take accountability for their mistake and take actions to have my vehicle repaired.Business response

Good morning , customer came in for an oil change on feb 21 , the oil service was performed successfully and the vehicle left the facility with no problems or leaks what so ever. As a shop we always check the oil level and leaks before any customer leaves our lube and oil area .Three weeks later customer called and complained about a knocking sound in the engine . Customer stated he took his car to multiple mechanics and service areas before calling and complaining to us , so he stated the the oil filter was not put on correctly and we are who to blame for the knocking sound in the engine . When I was on the phone with the customer i first asked for any leaks or check engine light or even an oil light. the customer stated he does not check under the hood often , and there was no lights indicated on his dashboard or any leaks .Therefore it does not all make any sense why we are at fault. So As a generosity from the management as we strive to make each and every customer happy, safe and satisfied we also offered him a free on demand service to check out and inspect his car where ever it was located, customer also denied our services and asked for our insurance.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:
Firstly, the car was taken to a "take5" auto center as it was the closest then they instructed me to take it to the nearest "kwik kar" to have them look at it idealy being the same company (witch unfortunatey they were not especially with the high amount of concern and professionalism they acted with its a shame i was unable to work with them being a different franchise), they informed me that they were of a different franchise and would be unable to aid me in having my issue resolved, but they were able to visibly point out that it was actively leaking from the oil filter while running, additionally I was advised by a mechanic from a fire stone, not to let anyone other then a clames adjuster to do anything to the car as they are a non biased third party.
Then secondly, I declined the so called "generous" offer because I have no trust nor faith in the honesty of this company from the first phone call my clames and issues were met with nothing more then contempt and dismissal, so when given your offer I refused as it is my belief that it would not be an honest diagnosis and It would end with dismissal of what is clearly the fault of the last entity to interact with my cars oil filter your kwik kar
