I purchased a motorcycle in used condition on 4/24/21 and am the second owner; I also purchased an extended warranty through ***************** the dealership sold me. The bike had a manufacturer warranty which started with the original owner, 7/11/20 and would expire 7/11/23. My extended warranty was purchased at $1256 and covered 60-months, to expire 7/11/2028.I put the bike back up for sale at *** Motorcycles of Dallas and it sold 9/2023. The dealership pro-rated me back a check for $785.59 of the $1256. The warranty company, **********************, under parent company ***********/***************************. based out of *******, told the dealership I'm not owed the full amount back.The agent from *********** told me they pro-rated my 60-month warranty and made it start on date of in-service 7/11/2020. The warranty contract plainly states on Page 4, #2, date of in-service cannot be used as extended warranty start date.I only paid for a 60-month warranty and the contract states the expiration is 7/11/2028, backdated, the effective start date would be 7/11/2023. Since the bike was sold two months after the extended warranty began, the following is owed for refund:$1256/60 Months = $20.93/month, ********************** would retain $41.87+$50 Cancellation fee for a total of $91.87 owed to *****************.$1256 paid by me, less $91.87 in fees is $1,164.13. Deduct the $785.59 I have already been refunded and *** Motorcycles of Dallas still owes me $378.54.
