      AB Moving Job #******-1 My complaint against AB Moving is that their employee *************************** intentionally delayed my Move so that it would cost more.       Apologies to ***************  The move was **** hrs. for a two-man crew move going ***** minutes between locations. 1 bdrm apt. on 4th floor with a stop at 2nd floor apartment to a 5th floor apartment at the destination addresses in extremely high summer temperatures all apartments with elevators.  The move was completed in a reasonable time, but we did offer the client a refund of 30 minutes as a final offer.

      TThe client has never offered me a refund. I have checked both my text messages and email. The only time a refund was mentioned was at the end of my move and when I told ***************************** I was filing a complaint with the state and he said that he was going to give a discount but I should go ahead and file. I said I would.

      Plus 30 minutes is an insult the amount of time *************************** sat in his truck and refused to drive plus sitting in the back folding moving blankets was over 30 minutes.

      AB mentioned the apartments were on the 4th and 5th floor, but failed to state that the movers were using elevators and at the 1st location maybe they should have took more than one thing down in an empty elevator.

      I am rejecting this response because:   it look like it says I was offered a option to choose a different plan option I was not offered nothing but given rates to move me and available time frames to move me that is it and if it was like that about different options I would not have agreed to move my belongings with them. I never used them before and so I was not aware of no different options to move this is just a sorry excuse not to take full responsibility to replace my new tv stand they damaged my cell # is contact me is ************

      We send all customers options for coverage on booking and on confirmation as well as on the contract prior to the move starting.   6-13 and **** were the dates the emails pertaining to coverage were sent and they show to have been read date and time stamped.  The contract also has the coverage that was taken **** prior to the move starting

      We are so sorry to hear that your wife's rings are missing and I believe you spoke with ******, our Supervisor, the next day that you called into our office. We also spoke with your insurance company the day after receiving your claim. Our Supervisor was personally on this move who has been with us for over 10 years with not one claim of theft. We do stand behind our moving team who all stated they did not see any jewelry either on the initial walk through or for the duration of the move. We did not pack any items and everything else was packed and ready to move. Furthermore, we kindly ask on all communication, including our written estimate, that our customers move all jewelry as these should be moved by you personally and we cannot be held responsible. After receiving the Claim Form, we sent out a settlement offer for damage to your television that was based on the coverage selected for your move.

      Anyone Reading this****AVOID THIS COMPANY****

      I am rejecting this response because , there are 2 other people that were with ****** with prior criminal histories.  I did not know criminals were so forthcoming, apparently this is the case with your employees.

      There has been zero communication, after multiple phone calls and emails, I only once received communication. Your business seems to be filled with liars as I did not speak to any supervisor. I spoke to ****** who tried to transfer me. However your "Supervisor" never answered the phone.

      They did not Pack anything in protective equipment, they carried my 65 inch plasma with one person over his head. Broke two dressers, *** took pictures, however I am not even worried about those. Absolute Nightmare of a situation and a company that has no willingness to right a wrong.

      My reservations was made over the phone. I did not have any written communication prior. 

      How is $100 dollars an acceptable offer for $4500 dollars worth of Merchandise.

      **** is a piece of Human Garbage. This will be settled in small claims court.

      On October 17, 2022, AB moving moved contents of my rent house to a storage facility and some items to a new residence. When packing the storage unit, they tossed boxes and other items around looking as if they were literally thrown in. All of the big items such as my washer, dryer, and one mattress set was placed at the door, literally ******* off access to the unit. Today, I found out why when I had to get help to move those items out to get access to my things. There is a new mattress set that is missing. That is why they placed the other other stuff at the door so I couldnt see in the unit. This is unacceptable.

      I am rejecting this response because: Due to the movers placing large heavy items at the front of my storage unit, I was unable to have access to it to discover items were missing. I had to get help from a male friend to move the heavy objects to gain access to my storage unit.

      My husband and I booked moving services with AB moving 20 days prior to our move on April 22. We spoke with a representative about our needs. She asked if we had any valuables and we listed our 2 TVs, our Sleep Number Bed, and hand made dinning room set. She made note and never gave options of different types of protection services they offered. 5 days prior to our move, I received a text with instructions to view our quote and confirm the details of our address for the move. Again NO option of different protection plans. The morning of the move, 3 men arrived 10 minutes prior to the window of arrival, and assessed our things. One young mover then said, Sign here. This states we are responsible for any damages done in the move. Once again no confirmation or option of our level of protection of our things. The movers arrived at our new home, and unloaded our TVs. Both were damaged at the top right corners, they were cracked and bent beyond repair. The mover took pictures and said he would submit a claim and we would be reimbursed, still no mention of a type of protection. No one reached out via phone or email more than 24 hours after we were told we would be hearing from them. I had to call, email, and submit a request on their website to even get a contact from them. I submitted all the paperwork, pictures, and receipts asked for the claim. The value of the 2 tvs totals about $1100. The response I got was as an offer of only $150! They claim they sent protections options to us and we would have had to make any adjustments 24 hours prior to the move. Once again this was never communicated in any way. I have attempted to call their ******************** over 10 times with out any answer, have left voicemails with no responses.This situation has left us with no TVs, and a horrible experience over all. We are not asking for much, just our TVs replaced. This business will never get our business again, and I will tell everyone I know not to use them again.

      TXDMV requires that all clients be given a basic valuation of 60 cents on the pound if any damage occurs on the move.  The client was given a settement offer far greater than the basic coverage that was taken.  We did send the client prior to the move a copy of the contract which states the higher levels of coverage.  This email/text was sent upon the booking of her move.

      I paid AB moving service to move me into my new apartment. I called and was told Id be contacted by email. I was contacted and sent a form to fill out but I cant open the form. Ive sent them messages and they keep coming back to me with the same auto generated response. Even got my name wrong. My work from home computer monitor was damaged during the move. I had to spend $140 dollars to replace it. Has to pay for delivery to get my computer ** I dont have a car. Id also like to mention I was quoted the moving service would be $315 and after the move I was charged $400. I have attached an image of my broken monitor.

We also sent out a pdf format on May 2nd and had still not received your claim at the time of this posting. We have now received your form as of 7:31am this morning, May 5th, however we have not had time to review or resolve this matter with you.       Below is the customer information for ******************** located in *****, **:AB Moving- Job ****** Estimated Arrival9am - 11am Service TypeLoad Only Total 3 crew members.I am extremely dissatisfied, extremely disgusted and been SEXUALLY HARASSED and VIOLATED by movers from AB moving company. Movers STOLE!!! He told me his name was ****** and that he was a 45 year old with a 4 year old son " looking for girl." He was a short ugly ************************* spoke very little English with couple of missing front teeth. He was being very inappropriate forcing hugs when no one was around, very hard sexual stares, grabbing my hands, rubbing against me, touching me inappropriately. I am NO *** OBJECT!!! NO means NO. At first, when he introduced himself giving me hand shakes, he told me "you're girl for me" and I told him I have a boyfriend. He kept asking if I have kids. He just kept pushing it. Forcing it when no one was around. Second problem, he should not be opening or going through my packed boxes and storage plastic containers that are taped and closed. He needs to only move those boxes and containers not go through my things. He stole $1500. I am traumatized and violated by this sexual predator. On top of that, he was in my personal space and was NOT wearing a mask and could easily transmit the Delta variant if he has it as I am high risk. I thought I hired a safe moving company. You should at least prevent this from happening to someone else, again. This man is a sexual predator and a thief preying on a female alone in a house. This is WRONG! It took me some minutes to process what was going on ****** was working slowly and waiting around so the other mover who did not understand English or speak would leave to drop the boxes in my driveway and the red shirt mover was in my driveway loading the boxes in the container. So, I was alone in the house with ******. ****** kept pressuring me and trying to isolate me. Finding every reason to get close to me. He would bring random boxes to me and start asking stupid questions about what was inside the box and he would be searching through the box of my things. I repeated over and over again to stop but he would not care or listen and would get very aggressive and angry towards me when I clearly stated stop. Then he would just take over, overpowered me and stared very hard at my body sexually, trying to control me and I just froze and was trying to process what was going on and he would keep pushing it making me weaker and worsening my medical condition. I was not strong enough to fight back and felt so small. His black eyes stared so hard that it literally terrified me. He would look around to see if the other mover was watching and made sure he was alone. I moved everything from the garage and packed it. There was nothing in the garage except ton of trash bags right in front of the garage door. ****** kept pushing me telling me we need to go to the garage. He is a man and stronger than me. I wasnt strong enough to fight him. I told him there is nothing in the garage multiple times. He would not listen. So he would look around to see where the other mover was and I just ran away. He overpowered me and was trying to control me. It appears he thought I was an easy target and young weak female alone. He would not stop and just wouldnt back off. I strongly believe his intentions were to sexually assault me. He just wants what he wants and wouldnt stop. This man is a sexual predator. I ended up just standing outside close to the driveway with the red shirt mover. I felt extremely unsafe and traumatized. On top of that he wasnt wearing a mask and I am high risk for virus. He would STARE VERY HARD at my body and would walk by very close by the driveway, touching me, and rub against me. I am extremely disgusted. I felt extremely unsafe and terrified being alone. I was scared to be in my own house, so they were alone inside my bedroom. ****** was behaving like he owned this house and I was his *** slave. He would take over and forcing hugs, rubbing against me, and would walk by grab my hands. He was behaving very sexually aggressive and I felt weak and violated. When everything was moved out, ****** followed me inside the house. I saw the bedroom closet doors were left open. Then, ****** sees me alone in the bedroom and was staring at my body from head to toe, being very ****** sexually aggressive tried to kiss me, but I completely shutdown. I just froze and was looking down. I didnt have the energy to fight back. I pushed him away and literally ran from him. I was traumatized. I NEVER gave consent to the movers to go inside my closet and even touch that box cause that box was personal to me and take my property.I am disgusted that I trusted this moving company and they stole from me. There are four more boxes missing. I clearly remember I saw the mover load the boxes on the dolly and take them out. Boxes were in the dining room at the bottom of other boxes and at that time I noticed they had no tape on them but top was closed. I clearly remember I was going to ask him that I needed to tape them but he quickly loaded them on dolly and walked outside to driveway. It all happened so fast and I just thought they were being loaded in a PODS container not a truck and ****** mover was distracting and just all up in my space. I was inside the house at that time when he took them outside to the driveway. My house has a fence gate in front and long pathway to the driveway and their truck was parked behind PODS. I was alone. Boxes had a two laptops ******* laptop, **** laptop, ), my personal documents like credit card statements, letters, receipts, printer, most of my office stuff. I searched for those boxes five times and unable to find them. They can't just disappear in the Pods container. I had lock on the container and am only one with key who has access to them. First all heavy furniture like couch, refrigerator, washer and dryer was loaded and then those stolen boxes were taken outside and then the rest of the boxes were taken. I contacted the ab moving to file a claim and filed a claim, but NO RESPONSE from this business.I am violated and traumatized which hurt my ***** cause of this sexual predator and thief. The owner ***** Baker of this moving company did not apologize or respond when I sent him two emails. He responded very quick to my emails regarding questions and confirmation details of my move prior. I never thought this could happen with a moving company. Low character, criminal minded, trash, uneducated men preying on a weak female alone. Lead mover in charge would laugh it off and was amused at the way ****** sexually harassed and terrified me. Third male who did not speak English at all began to sexually harass me after seeing ****** do it. How can you hire criminals, trash ***** Baker and trust them to move people's personal belongings and be in someone home?       The information the business provided in their response is incorrect and false. Their response is very poor that can be easily proven incorrect and false.  ***** communications between ***** Baker, the owner and I can prove their response is incorrect and false. Messages between ***** Baker and I clearly stated that it was a "storage container located in my driveway" NOT a small truck. I specifically asked ***** Baker if the movers were experienced and knowledgeable in  "how to load a storage container." He stated they were experienced. A total LIE. I hired them for "labor only, load only." I was surprised when the movers arrived with a huge truck for a move for a house over **** sqft house and parked it infront of my neighbor's driveway. I only had **** sqft. I had to ask them to move it infront of my driveway, since neighbor's had to park in their driveway. I informed the mover in charge that it was loading in a storage container. He was shocked and very hesitant, uncertain. He had ZERO EXPERIENCE. He gave me incorrect information on how to load in a storage container. I provided them with tie downs, locking latches which mover did not know how to use and NEVER used,  just threw  them inside on the floor in the container. Wooden office desk was damaged and shelves on top of the desk were broken. Sofa arm was torn. Very CARELESS! Medium sized storage containers were damaged as a result.I did file a claim with this business, but NO RESPONSE. I filed the claim via email at

This just proves that this business is NOT PROFESSIONAL and hires CRIMINALS and SEXUAL PREDATORS! ***** Baker is hiring illegal immigrants with ZERO EXPERIENCE that only speak Spanish.The payment was made by credit card when the movers arrived and the mover swiped it on his electronic device. This can be proven by a card statement copy. Police report was filed. This proves this business handles their complaints VERY POORLY and do not give a rats a** about it's customers. They hire illegal immigrants with no background checks, criminals, and do not  care to investigate complaints against their employees. They just provided quick, incorrect and false response cause they don't care.

Wooden office desk for $359 was damaged and shelves on top of the desk were broken. $566 brand new Sofa arm was torn. $200 Medium sized storage containers were damaged.       Hello, I contacted AB Moving at ************************************************** *****. and I was quoted a price over the phone .I was also told that the clock starts when the movers arrive at my house. Then the clocks stops once the truck is loaded and the mover's are driving to my destination. And when we arrive to my destination.The clock starts back again to unload my things. They did not do that .They kept charging me from Start to Finish. And when it came time to pay .I was then told that I owed more than I was quoted. Once I unpacked my boxes .That day I could not find a Art ******** of mine. I called the driver and told him.I was insulted verbally and told well you signed off on the paperwork that means you are signing everything is all there. I saw no sir I signed that I am paying you for the double price that you have charged me and that I am paying the bill. I have no way of knowing what is missing until I unpack my boxes. The driver was the only one that speaks English .The other two movers did not. The driver kept scratching all the time he was there. I have called the company Monday and was rudely spoken to by the driver's manager A man name Tray.I don't recommend anyone use this company.It's not enough to over pay a company for your move of your most precious things. But to have your possessions stolen that's taking advantage of the customer. I was told by the Driver's Manager that I can file a claim and see what happens to get compensation for my ********.

      ***************** has moved with ** 3 times over the past 4 years and moves are charged from when we arrive until we finish the move and this has been **************** past 3 moves so we cannot refund the drive time. We do record all calls for quality assurance and reviewed the call - the agent went over all details for the move and the contract was sent to client on booking the move.  *************** did send in a claim form for damage to an unboxed picture and we will submit a settlement according to the terms of our agreement that was sent to the client prior to the move. The crew is fluent in two languages.   Thank you and apologies to *****************.

      4/6/2023 I *************************** disagree with what this manager is saying. I have only used this company twice. The first time was not a good experience. And now this second time is worse. I was quoted a price by the driver verbally when he arrived to my house. And I didnt have any reason to lie. He said it would take 3 hours and the price was $451.00 dollars. But my things were already wrapped and ready to move out he began to rewrap my furniture with his Wrap and put quilts around my furniture. That made the time longer at my apartment to move. It out .I asked him again does the clock stop once my furniture is loaded and you start to drive. He said yes. And then he proceeded to say Im my own boss I just franchise my truck with this company. Thats the problem. I had with my first move with this company. I was reassured by **** the manager when I called back that he would send a nice crew of movers and take $50.00 off the move.The first movers damaged a lot of my furniture. I am a elderly senior and a woman. I should have called the police when I noticed my price was $780.52 and my $500.00 black art painting was missing. I asked the driver that speaks English about it . He states that once I paid for my move and signed . That I was agreeing that everything is fine. And no the other 2 movers spoke in Spanish to the driver.       After reviewing their website that had very nice marketing about them being a professional, experienced and family owned moving company, I decided to hire them to move me from Little Elm Texas to Wylie Texas (from and to within the DFW area, about 1 hour apart). I advised them I had a 3 bedroom, 2 bath with a study home that needed to be moved. They suggested a crew of 3 and would dispatch one truck. On 09/16/2022, a crew of 3 persons arrived at my home in Little Elm. Of the 3, only 1 person actually spoke English. The other 2 did not speak English. It was clear from the beginning that the driver/crew leader (the one that spoke English) was the only experienced person of the 3. I asked him about this and he actually admitted as much. He said he had 2 other crew that he had worked with for a while and were very efficient together, but they left for other employment. So, this is the beginning of what would turn out to be an Inexperienced and Unprofessional move in which not only did it take them way too long, but they also charged me for it. This crew did not leave my new home in Wylie until around 11 PM that night. They charged me for 11 hours; had AB Moving lived up to their marketing and sent an experienced and professional 3-man crew, I think this move would have been done in under 8 hours. In addition to the move itself taking too long, they got lost (really, with GPS they got lost) on their way to my new home in Wylie. It took them almost 2 hours to get there when it should have only taken 1. They also stopped for food but only deducted 15 minutes for the stop. I contacted AB Moving by phone on 09/19/2022, and spoke to someone in Customer Care. They took the information and then emailed me to reply back to confirm the complaint. I told them all I wanted was for them to acknowledge they sent an inexperienced and unprofessional crew and to refund me for the extra hours they charged - I asked for 3 hours, plus tax refund.

The move was a 2000 sq ft home moving 50 miles away. To resovle the issue we offered the tip back and one hour back on time. This is our final offer and has been communicated to Mr ********. The reason the move took over 11 hours is because 2/3 of their 3-man crew had NO EXPERIENCE and consequently slowed down the one experienced crew member significantly. I tipped for the experienced crew member and them offering his tip back to me is just terrible business practice. They need to refund at least 3 hours which is approximately how much time was lost due to them sending 2 INEXPERIENCED crew to help this one experienced guy. Also, my old home and new home were 33 miles apart, not 50. This company is a joke - they lie and provide false advertising on their website and on-hold messages on their phone lines. They have experience, but it's taking money from unsuspecting people that need a professional and experienced moving service, but get exactly the opposite. Again, 2 of the 3 crew had NO EXPERIENCE - as admitted by the experienced crew member. In addition, the spoke NO ENGLISH and my guess is they are in the US illegally. I think I will get in touch with the ICE and let them know about my experience with AB Moving. In addition, I did report damage to them after my initial complaint regarding the time. They significantly damaged one of our desktops with a large scrape. They also nicked and dinged our wood TV entertainment cabinet. They also damaged multiple walls in the new home when placing furniture. Lastly, while they may have closed the ticket around 9 PM or so, they were not finished inside my home until after 10 - and that was with the help of my wife unloading the truck. They did not leave my drive way until about 11 PM. As I stated before, at 52 years old, I have had many moves in my lifetime. My last move to the 2000 sq ft home took the moving company right at 6 hours total. The distance between locations on that move was about 15 miles. So, add another 30 minutes for the extra mileage and this move should have been done in under 7 hours. I asked for just 3 hours back and did not add any additional request for the damage I uncovered later. That was reasonable and AB Moving should accept this - they are fighting with me over less than $150! Unbelievable! The one that spoke English also told me the 2 guys he had with him were new. So, someone is not telling the truth. Yes, I tipped 10% for the one good guy that was on this 3-man crew. The company wants to take that away from him because they did not give him the proper crew to achieve the move in a timely manner. Read the other BBB complaints on this company and you will see a pattern of dishonesty. They clearly don't want efficient crew because then they won't make as much money. They don't count on repeat business, they just rip off each customer they get figuring they'll probably only use them once even if they do s as good job. AB Moving are crooks and liars, plain and simple.

      We schedule our local move with AB moving for July 23rd 2022. The time given was 8-10. I get a call at 9 saying that there is an issue with movers and a different crew is assigned but won't be there till 2pm. I said ok as long as the move gets done today. The company assigned 3 movers. Around 6pm one of the movers leaves without telling anyone. So now they are down to 2 movers. By 8pm they were still loading the truck. It was decided that the movers will come back next to unload the truck at the new location and return back to load the remaining stuff. During the move they caused a lot of damage (which I am still waiting on compaction for). During the week of 25th I contacted the company 3x and no response. I called the Houston office and they put in touch with the claims department. Emma was the rep that assisted. On July 28th I sent the list of damages and all the pictures. I don't get a response from her until Aug 5th with an offer which I declined. On August 18th I asked for an update threatening them of escalating the issue. Only then she responded suggesting that a supervisor be sent to access the damage and having a furniture medic come for repairs. They provide a date/time and I asked for a different date/time. I did not get a response from them. On Aug 31 I asked for an update and didn't get a response till Sept 2nd requesting for the supervisor to come out of the assessment. I agreed requesting what time would the supervisor will come and haven't not heard back from them. On Sept 6th I asked for an update and again no response. I need assistance from BBB on get the damages repaired.

The customer was not satisfied with the offer and additionally, we offered to send out our handyman to see if he could do any repairs onsite. We tried to schedule twice and as the customer was out of town, these repairs have been delayed. We recommend for the customer to accept the reimbursement and will reach out if further repairs can be done.
