I ordered some Supplements from ************Since shortly after a started *** get a charge for $39.97 Monthly for Dr. Marlene's Natural Health Connections. I did not oder this monthly News Letter and have been charged every month since August of 2024 . I have tried every which way to cancel. the website is very ambiguous. The phone numbers do not work. I ordered a "Brain Book" at what they represented as a one-time charge of approximately $20, in August 2024. I have not noticed on my Discover bill until now, but they have been charging me $39.97 per month ever since 5 August 2024. On 1/11/25 I ordered the book Unbreakable Brain for $36.99 and when it arrived there was another book with it which I did not order, Natural Health Connections by Dr. ******* *******. When my credit card statement came I was charged for the book I ordered but also there was another charge from the same place but with a different transaction date and amount 2/1/25 $39.97. I keep getting emails from Dr. ******* saying I am subscribed to her newsletter and that it will automatically renew each year, but when I try to cancel the subscription it says I am not subscribed.I never ordered the second book or wanted all the emails I'm getting from Natural Health Connections. I sent a Zelle transaction to ***** ****** and the recipient did not claim it. In the meantime I filed a claim with ***** support at ***************. Actually, when it wasn't claimed the Townebank should've returned according to my ****** search [****** search* When a payment is sent with *****, the recipient has 14 calendar days to accept it. If the payment is not accepted in time, it will be canceled, and refunded to your account. The refund can take up to three business days to be credited and notification will be sent to you and your recipient.]The original Zelle was sent on August 19th,2024. That was 4 wks & 4 days ago. I know *************** has received the money but is holding on to it which they do. A year ago I placed a $1700 payment to the wrong account and it took me 3 months to be put in the correct acct. I have been working on my 2023 taxes and have found that I have been billed $39.97 per month for the year ending 2023 to the tune of $517.35 (two charges were $38.84) Then again in 2024 the billing continued the total was $319.76 less a credit from the company when I called to complain about this problem. That credit totaled $119.91. So I am looking for a total reimbursement of $517.35 + 119.91=$717.20.I am extremely unhappy that this subscription was being billed to my account when I never asked for it to be. I never ordered any such thing. This is unfair business practices and I am very upset that this happened.This certainly should be illegal. I bought a book from this "doctor" and recently discovered that I was being charged $39.97 MONTHLY for a newsletter. I've been ignoring the emailed newsletter for months, as it is mostly just junk, but had no idea I was being charged for it. When I called, the person I spoke to very nicely agreed that the newsletter wasn't worth this, that she also hates affiliate marketing, and that they need to let people know that this will be a recurring charge. (All I was buying was the book.) She refunded me today's charge (which I had caught and questioned, which is why I found out it was a recurring charge). She also refunded two months' of charges. This was all good. However, I was charged first in August 2023 (this is February 2023), so I would like to be refunded the other four months' charges. This is HORRIBLE. It should be made clear that a person is paying for an ongoing subscription and not just a book. Note that the amount below ($279.79) reflects the entire amount I paid. If the person I talked to is correct and everything goes as she says, I'm being refunded $119.91 of that.Business Response
