I bought my very first vehicle from auto class direct on may 19th 2023. As soon as I got there it was problem after problem and I felt very pressured to but them vehicle. After having the vehicle for less than 30 days all these problems came up and needing over $13,000 in repairs. And many mechanics said this vehicle is UNSAFE TO DRIVE AND SHOULDNT HAVE PASSES AN INSPECTION TO BE SOLD TO ME. The dealership was rude and had no care to resolve the problem at which they knew about. They are a dealership that SHOULDNT BE IN BUSINESS!!

First of all, we never intend for anyone to ever have a problem with a vehicle they buy from us. We are sorry to hear that you did. We work hard to find clean, used vehicles and to help our customers obtain financing from reputable, consumer friendly prime and subprime lenders. It is a lot of effort on all of our departments and lenders to bring all of this together for you. Some of the challenges are helping people to get the best vehicle, terms and rates that they qualify for. We do not build these vehicles, there was no warranty remaining from the manufacturer on this vehicle. We went over several documents that explained that you are buying a vehicle AS IS -No Warranty. You chose not to purchase a warranty. There was nothing owed or promised. You test drove the vehicle, checked it out and drove it home a couple of hours away. We don't know how this vehicle was driven and by whom. Over a month after delivery we started getting unfriendly calls from you and your family.

To manage expectations used vehicles need a break-in time with a new driver, like new vehicles do. And, if you are going to have a vehicle, you want to have a good, reputable shop/mechanic that you can trust to help when needed. We would never intentionally sell a vehicle that needs an engine! We have found there are lot of shops out there that scare people into replacing things the vehicle doesn't really need.

When your family first called us they communicated they already had and threatened us with an attorney. The conversations toward our managers and staff have been aggressive and demanding and threatening and ugly. We explained that we can only talk with the buyer and after being threatened with attorneys again, we would only communicate in writing. The unfriendly and mean calls persisted without an opportunity to see what we could do to help you. We were not aware of any of these issues until we were called after the fact and threatened. We worked hard to help you get into a vehicle. We would have appreciated the opportunity to help you amicably.

I am rejecting this response because: I believe you guys know the type of vehicles you are selling to people and its sad that you would do it to an 18 year old black girl. You guys should be ashamed of the business you run and the cars you sell.

Good morning, I am reaching out because I had bought a car from Auto Class Direct and my ac has been making a noise and it's not working! This has been an issue since I got the car and they did a temporary fix! They are saying they couldn't find the issue but when I had a very well experienced mechanic look at it they mentioned my ac compressor went out! I told the dealership this and they ignored it and did whatever temporary fix they could. The ac is back NOT working and they don't want to help me with this! This was a issue that my sales rep My told me they fix! I would like for them to fix the issue correctly and not do a temporary fix. They mentioned they found nothing wrong with it but there was clearly an issue they fixed at first but it was not a permanent fix. We live in Texas and it's extremely hot! The vehicle was sold without an inspection done! They got it done 1 week after I bought the car. I believe they do not do any type of vehicle inspections such as ac/engine issues and so on! I know 3 other people who got a car from them and got have engine issues going on!

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/11/07) */ We certainly apologize that our referral/customer is experiencing any distress over maintenance of their vehicle. That is never our intention. We are surprised by the bad review and complaint w BBB by this customer after all of our efforts to help. Among our top priorities, is making sure that every vehicle is in its best condition from day one. If we know about an issue we repair it so it is included in the cost of the vehicle. Anything that happens after the sale is at customers expense. With that being said, we had multiple discussions with our customer, the AC has worked every time the vehicle was checked out mechanically at our dealership. In an attempt to help this customer and offer goodwill, we have looked at their vehicle (2011 with 145,000 miles), free of charge, a few times now. We were not able to find a problem to help them with. We do not know whom they are taking the vehicle to that is claiming otherwise. We know it is difficult to find affordable, reliable mechanics and shops and we do offer referrals to those we have found. We worked diligently with our customers' budget and situations in order to even get them financed into a vehicle this nice. These are used vehicles sold AS IS without warranty. There was no remaining manufacturer's warranty on a 2011 vehicle. We have no control if sometimes maintenance is required sooner than expected. A warranty was offered at the time of purchase as an addition to their loan, and that warranty was declined. Owning a vehicle includes payments, insurance and maintenance. We wish our customer the best outcome in finding someone they know and trust to assist them further.

My name is ********** *****; I bought in 2016 F150 from Auto class direct in plano! Upon agreeing to buying this truck I was told that it went through an inspection by their mechanic and it was found to be up to date with everything working properly! 3 weeks after buying the truck I had to take my truck into a certified mechanic shop as the truck starting having a hard time braking when I stepped on the brake and also during driving the truck would randomly shut off when the mechanic shop inspected it and I was told that a "foreign substance" was thrown into the throttle body; making the truck being able to drive for a few days; I was also told their was no back brakes; and that the differential seal and pinion seal was leaking; that trip to the shop cost me $1950. My truck was in the shop for 4 days. Three days after the first set of repairs the engine started loosing compression causing the truck to shut off again I took it to the shop again and a new set of problems was diagnosed, the timing chain, tensioners; gears; brackets *(everyting related to timing chain needs to be replaced) this set of repairs will now cost me $3700. My truck will be in the shop for arrest a week; leaving me without a car. I would like this business to be looked into for selling vehicles that are not in safe condition to be driven.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/05/11) */ First off, we apologize that you are having any issues with your truck. Most of us find this inconvenient. This is highly unusual. This vehicle was a trade in just before you purchased it. From what our techs could find when testing and inspecting this truck there were little to no issues. You drove it for 3 weeks just fine. If management is aware of any "after sale" issues we are happy to diagnose and see what we can do to help. We don't show any record of communication until we received this complaint. Upon investigation we understand you called the sales person and complained. That did not get escalated to a Manager. Again, we would have offered to diagnose and see what we could do to help. The sales person drove this vehicle to your home so you could make sure it fit in your garage at your request. We show that you requested that we mail your plates when they came in. When purchasing a vehicle you were offered warranty for peace of mind in case things happen after the vehicle has been driven by you. You declined the warranty. These used vehicles are sold AS IS and there is no warranty from the manufacturer. We have 4 documents that we go over with you and you sign that explains all of this. We are not responsible for expenses incurred after delivery. We have no way of knowing what was done or not done and how this vehicle was driven after delivery. We disclose known issues if we are aware of them and are not required to do so, however, we do. It sounds like a couple of things have happened here, the timing of driving and needing maintenance type service happened after the purchase and that unless you know the shop people personally that you took your truck to, many of them up-sell people. We are happy to also refer you to reputable and affordable shops as close to your area as we can. If we had known about any of these maintenance type issues while we had it, we would have handled them and those costs would have been added to the price of the vehicle. You did get quite a discount-which in this market was very good for you. Again, we apologize for the after sale maintenance and wish we would have been involved earlier.
