    I applied for a Unit. I was denied and told I would receive my deposit of $150 returned to me. I haven't received my deposit and when I called to inquire the manager Ginger told me I had to pay $75 to get my deposit sent to me.

    Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2023/02/27) */ Applicant was denied. Refund was sent to the address on file. In the meantime, applicant moved and did not update the address, so the refund was sent to the old address. Applicant called screaming at staff about not getting refund. Manager told her that in order to cancel refund check and reissue, it does cost money equal to $75. Applicant did not want to give us an updated address for the reissue. Over the weekend, the check was returned via mail to home office and we are still waiting on an updated address to resend check for no extra cost due to it not being canceled and reissued. Consumer Response /* (2000, 7, 2023/02/28) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.) they are absolutely wrong, I never asked them to send refund to any other address besides the one they have on file. But Management couldn't close their mouth long enough to hear when I said it 4 times that they can send refund to address they have on file since I still have access to the property. And yes my tone changed once she told me I had to pay the $75. I kept telling them I never received my deposit refund and this is the only option they gave me until I filed a complaint here, now all of a sudden I don't have to pay the $75 and the property is now willing to not charge me to have check sent to my new address. These people are a joke when they feel they have the upper hand on someone.
