      Debt Blue is taking money away from me in fees instead of helping me pay down my debt. The fees they are charging are 4 times what the fees that they are negotiating for settlement. They have put me in a very bad financial position and now I have a court summons from the County that may lead to a lien on my home. The company made many promises when promoting their program. After a year I have a terrible credit score, many credits cards cancelled, no way to get a lower rate on my mortgage. The company never responds to emails and gives you the run around when you call. With the money I spent on fees to Debt Blue I could have easily been out of Debt without the damage to my credit.

      Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/08/26) */ We have spoken with Ms. Mitchell ****** and she was frustrated when she filed the complaint, but does understand that she enrolled in a 30 month program, and has been for 12 months so far. When she enrolled she had 4 accounts, and DebtBlue has already settled 3 of the four accounts. We do collect our fee when we settle, so the majority of her program happened fairly quickly! which is a good thing! She didn't realize when she enrolled with us her credit score was already low at a **** and she wouldn't have been able to refinance her home with her debt to income ratio even if she had not enrolled on our program, she understands that she was frustrated at the situation. I gave her my direct line to call me if she feels like she cant get ahold of anyone, and emailed our Customer Service manager to make him aware of her issue of her emails not being answered. Ms. ****** understood that she is in 2 settlements right now, and has decided to stay in the program. I also told her to ask for a team lead or manager if she felt like she wasn't getting her questions answered. Ms. ***** was happy and is staying in the DebtBlue program. I am glad they called me back, however I do not think that Debt Blue serves their customers best interests. I would not say I am happy with the Debt Blue program and I am settling the largest Debt on my own. Thank you for contacting the Debt Blue on my behalf. The company needs to do a better job explaining the program to customers when they enroll.
