    Filed claim with warranty company (Choice Home Warranty) on 7/31/24 due to A/C not working. They assigned AR-TEX A/C & Heating. Technician came to my home on 8/2/24, (paid the deductible of $85) & met with my husband. Tech advised the compressor needed changing & was covered under warranty. Husband watched as tech took A/C capacitor to truck and then returned and supposedly reinstalled it. **** said would be back on Monday, 8/5/24 with part. Recd email from warranty company on 8/5/24 stating claim is denied due to contamination which damaged compressor (not normal ************* After further review (and a new A/C company looking at the unit) it was determined that the capacitor now on my unit (which is only 5 years old, I am the original owner and it has never been worked on internally - confirmed by original installer - Casa Mechanical) now has an after-market capacitor installed that is old and rusted out. My husband called AR-TEX and asked for our original ***************** got angry and hung up on my husband. *************** also stated no contamination found.

    We returned the original capacitor as the customer requested, we also submitted what was wrong with their system and their warranty company declined to fix it. We have done what the customer asked of us and this call is complete.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    1.  The company dropped off a brand new capacitor (not our original one) that did not even fit our unit. 

    2. Also we had another company come to the house and look at the unit. They determined it was just a lack of Freon causing the unit not to work. They filled the unit with Freon and it is working perfectly. The warranty company did deny our claimed due to an incorrect diagnosis originally given to them by AR-TEX.

    Refunded $85.00 deductible back to customer credit card on 9/30/2024, this can take 7-10days to show up. Called customer and notified as well.
