    BBB unable to locate business
    When I first moved in to these apartments my rent was $218.00 and when I went to make my rent payment I was informed that I was very far behind in rent and I said what do you mean? Well come to find out they had upped my rent to $441.00 without letting me know or having me sign documentation about it. I've been here nearly 3 years and and throughout the whole time we have dealt with our water being shut off or hot water shut off with OUT NOTICE. The manager got fired and her husband is still the maintenance guy here and I asked him what was going on with the water now and how long it will be off for and his exact words was "run the tub and sink and if not I will be there in the morning" WOW, some shady apartments that we live in. Not to mention that I've even told them about the neighbors upstairs that smoke pot and are loud late at night and they don't do anything about it. The lady the lives upstairs her little boy keeps breaking my stuff on the porch and I've talked to his mom and the office and nothing being done unless they see it themselves.

    I've never had to resign any other paperwork the whole time I've been here. This is when I first signed the paperwork to move in.

    Good morning Walter, WOW, I'm in disbelief of how Ms. *** just treated me over the phone. I had it on speaker as well and my mother even heard as well as my children. I called to speak with her in regards to my rent and she was flat out rude to me and said that I have the next few days to gather all my stuff up and take it in to do a recertify application. That since I was verbally told I had to pay $441 then that's what I still need to pay even though I don't have it in writing. I did mention to her that I'm on fixed income and nothing has changed and she was just rude throughout the whole conversation. Said I had to pay $441 for August no matter what. I told her that I'm not liking how it just jumped from $218 to $441 without a signed paperwork and again now she wants me to go in office to fill it all out in the next 2 days. I'm not doing it. She also wanted to know why I didn't sign any paperwork for the rent to go up. I specifically told her like I told you it was because I wasn't given anything but since it was verbally and if I didn't pay it then they would evict me. She even said well it still stands and it's going to be the same thing here as well just because we came in doesn't change anything. I also told her that they should already have everything in file that's up to date and she said no that's old in the past we have been here for 48 hours only. I had just sent this to Walter with TDHCA as well and copied and pasted it here so y'all can see it as well.

    I did speak to the office about my rent before going ahead and making rent this month and Ms. Key told me that it still sticks and the if I do not pay the $441 it will still be a eviction no matter what. Well I ended up telling them I was going to be late paying rent and they also told me that after the 5th it will be a $5 fee then a $1 fee each day until it's paid. They also told me that the lease paperwork I have now doesn't even stick and it's no good. We have to redo our applications no matter what.

    I moved into these apartments on august 15, 2022. Since I have moved in the water has been shut off and or the hot water has been turned off a total of 5 times for more than 4 days. Dates provided: may 14-16th 2023, April 4-6 2023, March 1-3rd 2023,February 18-24th 2023, February 26-28th 2023. They don’t give us any explanation, they don’t alert us on any solution or that the hot water is even down. I have a two year old daughter that remains sick because I’m constantly having to bath her in cold water or warm up 5 pots of water on the stove. The maintenance men are up from 12AM-5AM running water to wash their cars and pressure wash this garage I am pretty sure they are on drugs and so is the office managers. They don’t fix any problems we have in our unit until I threaten to take the problems higher and even then it’s a temporary fix that they won’t come back for until it is broken again. I have seen open liquor containers inside the office building and the manager is supposedly allowed to get a free apartment so she lets other family members come and stay for free. I don’t think any of this is right and definitely needs to be looked at further and throughly. No one should be paying rent for a place that can’t even provide you with hot water consistently.
