    I purchased 2 new Friedrich air condition units at a price of $1,760.25 on May 1, **************************** my home on May 7, 2022 and were both used during that summer. The following summer when we tried to use the units, both units no longer cooled. The first unit did not cool when we tried to use it for the first time that summer in June, 2023, the second unit stopped cooling later that summer in August, 2023. I reached out to the manufacturer each time and was told I needed to have a diagnostic report from one of their authorized technicians at a cost to me of $129.26 for the first unit and $161.85 for the second unit. Each time I was told the unit(s) were unrepairable and Friedrich shipped new units to my home. I then had to pay additionally to have both of the units reinstalled thru the wall. The larger replacement unit was only used 2 times and was working fine until I tried to use the unit this summer (July 2024) as I was expecting guests and wanted their bedroom to be cooled. Much to my dismay the unit did not blow cold air. Now a week later the smaller unit that was replaced in September 2023 has also stopped blowing cold air.It is quite apparent that Friedrich is aware of substantial defects in the air condition units they are selling and they are continuing to sell units that they know are going to fail within a short period of time. While they provide a warranty for their air conditioners, they require the consumer to shoulder hefty diagnostic and reinstallation fees and they are sending knowingly defective replacement units. This practice is unfair and unconscionable.

    Purchased two wallmasters about 2 years ago, with the intention of using the advertised WiFi functionality. After spending over 4k on the units and a professional installer, it did not work after hours of attempting different methods. I contacted customer support several times and was put on the supervisor call list twice and never received a callback. After the third call, they decided to mail me a new board to install. Well I installed it and guess what, they didnt connect. So I called customer support again and was placed on the supervisor call back list again. Guess what? No call back. At this point I gave up. I proceeded to try again every 3-4 months hoping they fixed these issues with app updates (some of the changelogs specifically mention fixing connectivity). I tried again this week and got a new error: firmware out of date, please contact customer service. I called and they said that since the product is out of warranty, there was nothing they could do. I was put on the call list again (Im not expecting a call back based on prior experience). They never fixed the issue to begin with while it was in warranty! I paid a premium for this functionality, and this is blatant false advertising right here. Beware before purchasing if you intend to want to control you AC remotely.
