I moved into the complex in June of 2021. I was originally supposed to be in reserved spot 1, but was being harassed by a previous tenant who parked in my reserved parking. I asked the office to move me to a new spot, and they gave me spot ** as well as a parking permit with the number ** on it. I have parked there for over 2 years, but now a new tenant has moved in and left notes on my car stating that spot #** is theirs. I told them to contact the office because I have the permit for that spot and I have been here for two years. The tenant left another note stating that the office confirmed its their spot and for me to move. The next day I called the office and they claim that my parking permit doesnt mean anything and that I never should have moved to parking spot ** because it was never my spot to begin with and that they have no documentation, despite the fact that I have the sticker on my car stating that the spot is mine. I walked outside to move my car, and it was already towed away by the new tenant. I had to pay $317 for the offices error and lack of documentation. The office refuses to reimburse me because they claim I was never the owner of the spot even though their employees moved my spot when I had moved in and I have the sticker to prove so. I have the property manager stating that they stopped doing the stickers and they dont mean anything, as well as stating they dont even use my yellow stickers anymore because they dont mean anything. Yet, I was never notified that my parking spot would be changed nor that my sticker would no longer be valid since they changed them to just be general parking permits and not designated stickers. Now two years later, ** barely finding out that the spot isnt mine from the new tenant without the office notifying me or contacting me whatsoever. I have video documentation as well of the property manager acknowledging that it isnt my fault but denying her accountability as well.
