If I could give them no stars I would. They put a vehicle on the sales line without going thru the service department. After giving the down payment agreed upon and signing papers ************* took the vehicle to service department Friday 6/28/24. I provided ************************* part of the down payment on a card as a hold on the vehicle and returned saturday 6/29/24 with remaining portion in cash. I asked ************* about vehicle and he replied it is in the service department. Monday 7/1/24 no update. Tuesday 7/2/24 at 3pm I received a call from ************************* where he said that I needed to go to the dealer and look at other vehicles to see if I saw some other car or request a refund of money paid. I told ***** if I did see another vehicle it would not be the same terms I had signed and he said they would. Upon arrival ***** pulled a paper from the trash can and read a list of issues wrong with a car (unk if the vehicle I had signed papers for) and said the dealer would not fix the issues. ***** refused to provide a loaner and passed me to ***************************. ***** presented me with a quote on a vehicle seen, very different and stated it could not be the same as there was a difference in price. I informed him about my conversation with ***** but nothing. I ended up requesting a refund. Portion put on card immediately but I had to wait almost a week for the portion i paid in cash and got it in the form of check (apparently VW of Alamo Heights has no cash on premises) Less than 30 minutes after leaving the dealer the vehicle I was told would not be sold to me after I had signed papers was being offered for sale on VW of Alamo Heights webpage and remained there for approx 2 days. Very negative experience and I believe dishonest practices. Buyers beware

I initially went to the dealership because my vehicle was leaking oil and the windshield washer pump was not working. My car arrived at service on Nov. 30th, 2023. On Dec. 8th I received a bill for $10,499.10, which they were going to send to my car warranty, of which I declined $599.19 worth of repairs, which included the 4-wheel alignment and the washer pump, they deemed the other $9,899.91 worth of repairs as necessary. On Dec. 18th ASC Warranty approved $8,425.00 in repairs. ****, the person assigned to my case contacted me saying that their technician, noticed a ****** that needed to be replaced totaling $408.95, 11 days after receiving a full diagnostic report. **** stated that the warranty was maxed out and that I would be responsible for the charges. On Dec. 27th she explained that the fuel pump had to be replaced a second time and that I was also responsible for it. I had her speak to a manager and had them lift the charges of the second fuel pump. They did not however lift the $468.86 charge to replace the ****** that they said needed replacing. They originally quoted me $408.95 to replace the ****** but gave me an invoice of $468.86 which was not itemized. I paid online and received my car on Saturday January 6th at 6:30pm. Service was gone, one person gave me the keys to my Tiguan 2014 SE, and they left me alone. The staff was obviously getting ready to go home. This is not the type of service that I expect from Volkswagen of Alamo Heights. To make matters worse, I noticed my oil is leaking again. Their obvious intent was to max out my warranty, which they achieved. My car is still leaking oil and the windshield washer pump was not replaced due to the importance of replacing other parts. Perhaps I am not the clientele that Volkswagen of Alamo Heights intends to serve being that I am Hispanic, and that the area is generally affluent W.A.S.P. demographic. Whatever the case may be my experience was terrifying and I do not recommend this establishment.

Volkswagon of Alamo Heights took our car for repairs on March 2, 2023. They told us many things that they said needed repaired. We paid, picked up the car several weeks later. Today Sept 18 our car is back in shop. The car loses acceleration with out any notice. Very dangerous on the Freeway. They do not know their product. They do not want to reimburse our money. This car is a casket waiting to happen on 4 wheels.

I took my car for service with the extended warranty. The shop did not have a vehicle for me to drive while the vehicle was in the shop so I was asked to get a rental. I rented a vehicle for 4 days considering I had extended warranty and it would be covered under that program. I picked up the car 4 days later; and I drove the vehicle about 25 miles and it had the same problem, so I returned to the shop. Now, here is where it became interesting.. The shop took over 2 months to fix my car, that is not the big deal.. the shop provided me with a loan vehicle; and I was told that the rental for the first time the vehicle was in the shop was going to be reimbursed to me. It has been more than 4 months and nobody knows when I will get the reimbursement. Unbelievable!!! Guys, Volkswagen makes great vehicles; but if you have to take your vehicle for service take your time and go somewhere else.Rigster!
