    Atlas Towing towed a vehicle off of private property without management approval. This vehicle belonged to a resident who was in his paid assigned parking spot. His vehicle was in working order and did not have expired registration.

    We notified the towing company and they gave us the vehicle back with no charge. We can close this report.

    My car got towed when I was outside my boyfriends house for one hour, not even 10 minutes after I got there, it got towed. They told me I can only paid with cash and gave me no change regardless of having a sign that they should have accepted debit/credit cards

    so I was WORKING at a shady apt complex which supposedly had one sign that you apparently Have to pay to park. I was inside of the residence for less then 30 mins when I come out and find my vehicle towed the apartment manager tried to call atlas and spoke with **** whom by the way is unprofessional , rude , and incompetent I proceed to explain to her I spoke to other individuals at that complex whom had not paid and were not towed to which she admitted they target specific vehicles ( ie I drive a mustang) I took photos of where I was parked which was not properly identified as needing a visitor permit. **** initially says she didn't have my car maybe it was repossessed which really ****** me off... then she proceeds to say maybe it was stolen... so after I went the h*** off she calls back and magically has my vehicle. anyway I get to the shady lot mind you after my locator on my vehicle was disabled. the First **** was rude and outright disrespectful mind you I'm still working... she tells me and sapd that she's clocking out and I have to wait for the next person 45mins later then it's cash only because magically the card reader is down. so after being in the heat and rain and **** arrives she proceeds to give me paperwork which shows the tow driver said there was no damage to my vehicle yet I get to my baby and they damaged both front wheel welds and all these lights are on for the break system and hill assist so I refused to leave the lot until sapd documented how they damaged my vehicle. then **** gets upset when she gave me paperwork in my hand which she did not want to provide a copy of and proceeds to have sapd threaten to arrest me for theft of a piece of paper....

    The tow driver drove off with my van without completely securing it. I know this because he stopped around the corner of the street to continue working on securing it. When I approached him he refused to release my vehicle without payment despite not completing the securing. Which he was legally obligated to release my vehicle. The curb was not appropriately labeled as a no park zone and I was in the home for 5-7 minutes completing a delivery. Which means he was stalking me as I entered the *** and struck the moment I went into the domicile.

    They towed my car from in front of my house outside of posted towing enforcement hours. Towing enforcement for street parking in my neighborhood is clearly posted as 2am-5am. My car was towed at 7pm. They had no authority to tow my vehicle and charged me $225 to get it back. This is a common scam they've been running for years if you look at other reviews. This company should be shut down.

    I live in an apartment complex that has a contact with this company. I pay for a reserved parking spot. Twice I have had to call them (they are a 24/7 towing company) to remove a vehicle that was parked in my spot. The first time I called, in provided all correct information and said theyd send a truck. I waited outside in the back waiting for them for no one to ever come. I called, the guy on the phone was extremely rude and said someone came and called (which was a lie) in told them no one had called or came as I was literally waiting outside with my phone in hand the whole time. The guy became extremely disrespectful and called me a liar and hung up on me. I tried calling numerous times and he either ignored the call or would pick up and hang up. I literally had to drive to the location and attempt to talk to someone in person. It was the same guy, explained again that no one came or called, he closed the window and again blew me off. Tonight once again someone was parked in my spot and I cashed several times only to have the phone go to answering machine and the calls being picked up and hung up. No professionalism at all. This place needs to be shut down.

    My vehicle a 2014 black lexus was towed from the apartments where my husband and I live. The vehicle was parked in our designated paid & reserved parking space. The towing company was not authorized to conduct business/towing on the property as it is private property and did not have authority from the Owners or ******************* to tow our vehicle. I provided a copy of our lease reflecting that we were parked in our designated parking space, Atlas spoke with the Property Manager and she confirmed that Atlas had no rights to be on the property and shouldnt have towed/stolen our vehicle. They towed our vehicle from reserved spot #***., they have a captured image reflecting they towed our car from that reserved parking space #*** spot and we still had to pay & sign their mandatory documents before they would release our vehicle, we even had to call the police and file a police report case #*******. I have a document from the *******************s office stating Atlas Towing didnt have authority(no contract agreement) to tow any vehicles off of their private property and confirming that we were parked as per our lease agreement . I feel as though our vehicle was stolen by a legitimate business under the pretence of being a towing company. There were several vehicles taken off the property under the same false pretence and they were not released until paid for and the release document was signed. We were highjacked at our place of residence. The truck **** #*************IM towed our vehicle on 05/31/2022 @ 11:46p.m. and charged us $368.29 to release our vehicle on 06/02/2022 @ 4:27p.m. I had contacted them initially at 2:23p.m. After discovering my vehicle was missing, I called and left several messages with them informing them that we needed to have our vehicle released without response from Atlas towing, we then contacted the police and we had to have a police ****** with us through the process to obtain our vehicle as well as another couple that was there.
