1 starOn June 2, 2025, our family was forever broken. Our beloved ****** was killed during a routine dental cleaning under supervision of Dr. ***** ****. ****** was a 7-year-old Pomeranian and full of energy. He had this procedure done with no problems in the past. He had normal labs and physical exam. We brought him to the clinic a healthy dog, and we took our baby home in a body bag. We trusted the clinic and left him not knowing we would never see him alive again. My partner and I both provide anesthesia, and we just could not accept that our baby passed away because of adverse effects from anesthesia when he had general anesthesia with no problems twice in the past. He was healthy and should have no issues handling general anesthesia if the anesthesia care was up to quality standards. We were told that ****** died shortly after being induced for general anesthesia, and they could not get a pulse oximeter reading, causing his heart to eventually stop. While anesthesia does carry some risk, healthy animals do not die after being induced for anesthesia unless there is substandard care. We were told that Dr. **** was not present to assess Casper until after ******* heart had stopped. A vet tech was providing the anesthesia, and Dr. **** was not even aware ****** was decompensating. We trusted her to keep our baby safe, and her carelessness and negligence contributed to the death of our baby. What could be more important than ensuring your patient is safely induced for general anesthesia? It is unacceptable that a healthy dog goes in for a routine procedure and dies without any tangible explanation. Worst of all, when we went to pick up our babys dead body, there were no signs of genuine remorse from the staff.I feel obligated to leave this review to warn pet owners that our beloved baby died at this facility. I want ******** death to be a ****** for the clinic and Dr. **** to improve their quality of care so no one will ever experience what we are experiencing.Review fromKristine T

1 starOn may28th took my pet for her visit ask for a service to be done was charged for that service on June 17th took my pet to a new vet hospital the service that was supposed to be done at thrive pet care wasn't my know vet said she had any infection since it wasn't done. This clinic shouldn't even take in pets they dont give the care to the owners pets they over charge. You only spend maybe 10mins with a vet and the rest with the tech horrible experience I had. There membership they have is a scam. You pay ***** a month but they up the prices at the clinic thinking your saving and charge a 9.99 fee at time of service. This place is a scam and shouldn't be servicing pets.Review fromMerrie A

1 starTrying to reach customer support to have them fix their error of combining my boyfriends and my dog into one account. We have separate accounts as we pay for our own and prefer to have them separate. If we wanted them together we would have done it on the same account for both pets. I paid for my puppy to have this and then within a week they said he is not covered and combined the accounts. I have reached out to their support team, which can only be done filling out a form, and they say a response will be done in ***** hours. Over a week now and no response or fixing of the accounts that are supposed to be separate and not combined.Review fromDenise B

I have used All Valley Kennel in ********, ID in the past, but in March 2025, I left my dog there and she was not fed properly or taken out regularly. When I dropped her off, she was 7.5 pounds, when I picked her up after a week, she weighed 6.1 pounds. I left enough pouches for 24 meals, although she only needed 20. When I picked her up, there were 10 pouches remaining. She was so weak, she couldn't walk well. They said she hadn't eaten well for the past couple of days, but it doesn't seem like they offered her chicken, like they were supposed to. They didn't call me or my contact person when she wasn't eating and losing so much weight, she was literally skin and bones. My dog is 16 years old. They said she had been wetting herself, which she have never done before. I've reached out several times to them with no response. I'm considering reporting them to the ************** for neglect. My dog is still struggling to gain the weight back.Thrive Pet Healthcare

We take your concerns very seriously and are truly sorry to hear that your experience did not meet expectations. Our resort manager has attempted to reach you several times, leaving voicemail messages, most recently on May 15. We would like the opportunity to speak with you directly and better understand what happened. We care deeply about the pets entrusted to us and want to work with you to address your concerns. At the time of pickup, our team did not observe signs of weight loss or weakness; however, we want to learn more so we can investigate the matter fully. 8x I have reached out for assistance with my Thrive membership which I cannot use because its under an unknown profile my vet office does not recognize. 8x I have been ignored and received no response after their "72 hour" window. It won't even allow me to cancel. Based off customer service I recommend everyone stay away!Thrive Pet Healthcare

We're sorry you have had difficulty resolving the issue with your Thrive Plus membership. We looked up the email address you provided to BBB and do not have a Thrive Plus member with that email address, or an email from that address to our membership desk. Since the information provided to us in BBB reviews is limited, all we know is that you are in the ******* area. There is no information about the veterinary hospital you and your pet visited, your pet's name or a phone number to call you.
We really want to resolve this! Can you please submit a BBB "complaint" instead of a review so we can obtain enough information to investigate this matter? Thank you.

1 starTotal negligence toward my cat after thousands of dollars and everything looks fine. Went to new vet and they found multiple issues and corrected them quickly now cat is getting healthy again. After calling then to address the problem secretary hung up on me twice wouldn't let me speak to lady in charge cause she had to put her dog down. Now after that she should know the pain of families that they neglected to take care of properly.Review fromGenGriego

Years ago, this same place did my mom and our dog so wrong. They convinced us that our dog needed surgery, claiming there was something inside her stomach making her sick. Two of their techs even claimed to be specialists. But after they cut her open, they found nothing. It took a month for her to heal, and since she was a big dog, it wasnt easy on heror on us. We still had to pay the $4,000 bill for their mistake, and they didnt even care. And now, years later, theyve done it againbut this time, its far worse.I didnt want my dad to take his dog there, but it was the only emergency vet open in *******. Instead of being honest, they saw an easy opportunity to take his money. It cost $185 just for them to see his dog, and before even treating him, they demanded a $1,200 down payment just for X-rays and blood work. They claimed my dads small dog had pneumonia and kept him for a day, charging an outrageous $5,500. When my dad got his dog back, he was even worse than ********* dad, exhausted and heartbroken, had no choice but to take him home because they drained him financially. On a fixed income and disability, he simply couldnt afford to bring his dog back when his condition got worse. And because of that, he had to watch his best friend die in his armsgasping for air, fluid coming from his nosedesperately trying CPR while crying and begging him to hold on.That little dog was everything to him. He was smart, lovable, and completely devoted to my dadfollowing him everywhere, waiting by the door when he was gone, even barking "I love you." Now, my dad is left alone, mourning his best friend, and stuck with a nearly $6,000 bill that h*** struggle to ******* can you claim to care about animals when all you see is money? How can you sleep at night knowing you take advantage of people in their most desperate moments? No compassion. No heart. Who gives pills to a dog that cant eat instead of prescribing a liquid? You should be ashamed.Thrive Pet Healthcare

1 starWe had the worst emergency experience at *********************, our Chihuahua was in pushing contractions for 3 hours with no puppy, mind you we did an X-ray prior showing we are expecting 5 puppies. Due to the lack of progress we saw in our poor dog, we decided to take her in at 2:30am to ensure our dog and her puppies weren't in any ***** way. The staff was dismissive, horrible beside manners, took our dog back came back telling us her puppy is breached and green chunks coming out of the Vets exam and wasn't sure if that puppy was even alive. The vet said she needed a cesarean. Of course we love our dog so we said okay, she said they would come back with an estimate. The nurse came back with an estimate of $6,000 and stated we must come with a deposit of $3,000. My husband relayed we didn't have that kind of money and the nurse said, "that's not my problem" and my husband asked if we could work out a more reasonable deposit and do a payment plan. The nurse said it wasn't her call and went back to ask the Vet. The *** said they could try giving her a medicine that would strengthen her contraction in less then 5 minutes two puppies came out alive mind you and they brought them out right away in a box and told us they were sending us home and we can have our dog have the rest at home. We live 30 minutes away. They bring our laboring dog out to our car with a third puppy she had after the initial two in the rain. Left us in the parking lot to figure out these newborns who can't hold body temperatures and a mom dog trying to deliver her last two pups. I would NEVER recommend this clinic to anyone for any animal. Their moto for this clinic is an absolute joke, they treated our dogs like dirt and as if because we couldn't afford their treatment offered that their lives didn't matter. SHAME ON YOU Central Animal Clinic, you price gauge us in the community by using our love for our furry family members , you don't deserve the right to serve our community and our pets.Review fromH. We are truly sorry to hear about the loss of your beloved cat and understand how heartbreaking this must be for you. Losing a pet is never easy, and our hearts go out to you during this difficult time. We strive to provide the best care possible within the scope of our urgent care services. Our facility is equipped to diagnose and treat non-life-threatening conditions. The diagnostic testing made it clear that your cat required immediate care that only an emergency hospital or specialist could provide. As such, we recommended transferring to a facility that offers the necessary treatment and hospitalization. We understand how upsetting it is when an outcome is not what we hope for. Please know that we were dedicated to doing everything we could within the limits of our resources to help your cat. Once again, we extend our heartfelt sympathies to you and your family for the loss of your beloved companion.H. R.

1 starMy dog died within hours of being treated in **********************. They did xray, blood tests and said everything looked good and he can be treated with antibiotics. My dog died that very night. I wish I would have taken him somewhere else where he could get the proper professional help and care. Im not sure that they even performed any of the services they charged me for. Stay away from this place if you love your pets!
