I went to these so-called experts to get materials I needed to have a walk-path redone from my driveway to my gate. I gave the correct dimensions and was written up with an order for supposedly everything that I needed. Turns out, I was sold far more than I would ever need, anywhere from 25% over to 100% (double) what I should have bought. Now, I understand this is not an exact science and there are going to be some overage errors. But come on...double what I should have bought? Even 25% over is too high in my opinion. I'm expecting you to be 5% at most 10% over, and maybe even a little short in some cases. Not in my case. And most of these items they won't even take back now or want to charge me a 25% restocking fee. It's all a scam if you ask me to sell you a bunch of materials you don't need and cannot return or get heavily penalized if you do. When I tried to speak with thin-skinned owner/manager Jim, he wants to get in my face and tell me how I'm not going to talk to him. What happened to "the customer is always right," even when he or she is wrong? One take away for sure, this guy Jim should not be working retail and interfacing with retail customer who have a tendency to get irate pretty quickly and easily. He cannot retaliate in the same manner. He needs me the customer, I don't need him. Can't tell you how many times when I was growing up and working retail how many customers "went off on me" and it wasn't even my issue. I just did the best I could to listen to their rants, smile (if I could mange), politely allow them to finish. say yes sir or m'am along the way, and then proceed to tell them what I would try to do to help them, not tell them what I was NOT going to do and how they were not going to speak to me in the manner they chose. It's a lost art today and many people who think they should serve the public most certainly should not be interfacing with customers. Jim is one of those people and he is the face of Champions Stone. I will not be back
