Is there anything less than a zero? That's exactly what Westin home builders deserve! I had my house inspected before closing. The inspector found many issues with the roof that could cause water leaks. Todd, the project manager assured me that the roof problems were fixed. I thought I could trust him and the ***** *******. 2 months after I moved into my brand new house, I had 8 leaks on my roof . I reported this right away to Westin and documented it on their warranty portal. To my surprise, I was told that it was not their concern, and that I should report the problem to my insurance company. At this point, It became clear to me that they had not fixed the roof, so I requested another inspection to see if they had really fixed the roof problems found BEFORE I closed on the house, the ones the project manager said they had fixed. The re-inspection revealed that the roof had not been repaired! I sent the first report and the second reports to Westin. While we were going back and forth about the repairs. ***** the roofing company sent a letter to Westin stating that he came to my house, inspected my attic and my roof and found no issues. The problem with his letter is that he lied, he has never been inside my house. I don't know how he could've inspected my attic without coming inside my house. Realizing that the roof had not been fixed per the first and the second inspection reports, Westin sent the roofer back to fix the roof.. He came took pictures of all the problem areas. The project manager sent the pictures to me and assured me that repairs were completed. Because this has become a trust issue. I sent the inspector back. To my surprise, he lied again! I reported this to Westin on their warranty portal. I uploaded all the pictures as requested. I was told by John, in the warranty department that Westin does not accept a third party inspection report. I do NOT recommend this builder to my worst enemy. I will NEVER buy a Westin home again!!!

The previous warranty was addressed and signed off by the homeowner. Westin Homes is currently waiting for the homeowner to edit the warranty request, specifying each concern she wants us to address in the designated warranty concern boxes.

Westin Home is a joke, especially their warranty folks in the Candela neighborhood. If i tell you all the issues we have encountered since we moved into this house in July 6, 2024, and how they tried to play us, it will turn comical. That's why i look at all of them as a bunch of jokers, because after dealing with them i just laugh it off to relief my anger and disgust i have for them. The guy called Tim Turner, is out-rightly the biggest joke! Tyler Ford (the other warranty guy), is a bit responsive and fair (when he is in a good mood). My wife put in a request because we noticed one of the sprinklers was leaking water. Tim was assigned to it; for days he kept on postponing when he will come to check it out. We waited for over 5 days, wasting water, no show from him! Finally he tells my wife he showed up (never informed us by knocking or pressing the bell), and said it appears to be the head of the sprinkler that is leaking, and they don't cover it. I jumped into the car and went to Lowes, bought a new sprinkler head, used You-tube to find out how to change it , which was a pretty easy, screw on and off thing. After changing head, the leak still persisted. My wife called, and texted this man multiple times to inform him, we did what he told her. This joker never responded. I called their corporate office in Sugarland, using all the numbers they posted on the internet. Nobody picked up; I have called over 10 times today, and nobody is picking up, no voice mail to leave a message, nothing. This is why i call them a bunch of jokers! How can you run a business, and don't pick up your calls? No place to report an employee handling your business with wanton carelessness? Honestly i think this is the Westin culture. I will be the happiest person someday to find out there is a class action lawsuit against these jokers. I will support, and provide evidence to end this white collared crime. How dare you people play with peoples investments?

Do not buy a Westin home. Bought a brand new home, moved in and it has been non stop problems. Had a toilet flood within days of moving in due to a rock left in the plumbing. Destroyed all of our closet carpet trim ect. They acted annoyed this happened but eventually had someone come out to look and decided to fixe it. They did a terrible job re painting with paint splatter all over our white tile floors, trim is all splattered on the walls looks like a kid came in and did it. All of our sinks and toilets now stink of poop daily, we filled a warranty complaint they say this plumbing issue is not warranty covered however the plumber WE paid to come look at said it’s 100% a building and pipe issue where they cut corner. Our shower doors are on UPSIDE DOWN & BACKWARDS. Only 9 months into living here all shower doors are broken, 3 toilets have broken, carpet is pulling up, tile is cracked. Our front door and back door both have wide open gaps on the corners because the frame and door was not out on correctly. The front door is currently broken and not usable as we wait for someone to reply to our emails. Our kitchen sink clogged due to debris left in pluming but again they respond to nothing or just say it’s not their problem. Air vents up stairs have had to be repaired 3 different times due to no airflow, and we still have terrible airflow. All vents they said were placed back wards we had to pay to have someone fix those. Do not purchase a home no matter how new, they throw them up cut corners to pass inspection then sell them at high prices.

Westin has received three warranty requests from the buyer. The first was received in 9/26/2023 regarding a toilet overflow. Westin and appropriate vendors responded to the warranty, repaired all items, and closed the warranty 10/31 with confirmation from the buyer they were satisfied with the final results. The second warranty submitted 5/6/2024 regarding plumbing smell from sinks. Vendors suggested products to clean pipes. Westin will resend a vendor to look at the issue. The third warranty was received 6/28/2024 regarding weather stripping coming off from the front door, this is a currently an open warranty ticket and Westin is working with the buyer to review. No other warranties or complaints regarding shower doors, broken toilets, carpets, air vents, broken doors have been received by Westin prior to this review. The buyer can submit a warranty to our warranty department with any remaining warranty concerns or requests.

I filed an HVAC warranty claim with Westin Homes. CASA Mechanical sent some one out. The rep did not repair the system, but rather masked the problem. The issue returned a few months later. Again I filed a claim CASA mechanical full well knowing that there was a problem again masked the issue. Now out of Warranty, Westin and CASA do not want to take ownership of the problem. This deny and delay tactic should be illegal.

Casa Mechanical received a service call on 9/16/2020, regarding condensation on copper lines and the downstairs not cooling. Technician noted both units were low on refrigerate, refrigerate added. A second service call was received in June 2023, the technician noted the coil had a leak and needed to be replaced and placed an order for the new coil. Coil was received 7/2023 and replaced. Both coil and labor were installed as part of warranty with no charge to the homeowner. Westin Homes received a warranty ticket with 3rd party inspection items listed on 6/15/2021 with no mention of any HVAC issues.

Westin Homes are hiring the cheapest workers to build their homes . Your 1 year home warranty will not do you any good . I moved into a new Westin Home in 2020 the home was built in 2018 I am the only owner and every single year to present I have had problems with leaks ,electrical issues where outlets were wired wrong etc . These are not cheap homes mortgage will be due and taxes will always be due at least at person should be able to live in it without problems a 15 or 20yr old home should have . If we leave this house right now they’ll sell it for half a million dollars but allowing it to fall on your head. They need to do better with whoever they are hiring To build these Westin homes . They are beautiful homes but you never get to enjoy them because you are to busy keeping it upright . If it had been one occurrence I promise I would not have complained because nothing and no one is perfect but from 2020-2024 I have had issues. Poor workmanship. Very dissatisfied.

Westin Homes provides a one-year warranty on roofing material from the date of closing, covering both workmanship and materials. If a homeowner submits a warranty request regarding a leak, a customer service representative will investigate. The purpose is to determine whether the leak resulted from a construction defect or from wear and tear, such as deteriorated caulking at flashing points, plumbing boots, exhaust flashing, and similar areas. If the cause is deemed to be homeowner maintenance-related, such as those instances mentioned, it falls outside the warranty coverage.

We purchased a Westin Home in May 2021. In the 2.5 years that we've lived here, we've had to fix poor craftsmanship issues multiple times. I cannot stress enough how sloppy the construction of this house was. As an example, we've had oil stains ALL over our ceilings. I was told it was from construction crews eating and spilling food. We filed under Warranty to have them repaired, the painter showed up with a Red can of Killz, sprayed and never touched up the paint. I was told it was either Killz or cut holes and patch sheetrock?? No one wants sheetrock patches all over their house. We tried the Killz but it didn't work because he used the wrong Killz for the job so the oil spots remained. Recently, I paid a handyman to repair what Westin didn't. He came in with a Green can of Killz for oil based issues, sprayed and repainted the spots and now they are gone. We've had an ongoing issue with MOLD in our upstairs bathrooms. I've asked Westin to come and look at the issues during the Warranty period thinking that maybe the vent is not working etc. No solution was offered other than to make sure to turn the vent on. The paint was so gummy that it smeared off the wall. Again, I had to pay someone else to clean the mold, repaint bathrooms with a better quality paint. The tiled shelves are breeding MOLD because they were not installed correctly and now the expense is passed on to us again because we are now outside the warranty period. It is extremely frustrating to request help with these issues while under warranty only to experience a haphazard attempt to pacify yet not taking full responsibility and correcting the issues.

Westin received an inspection report in April 2022 which included notice of the ceiling stains. Westin took action to repair the requested areas and in June 2022 buyer confirm via text with Westin warranty coordinator that work was completed, and all looked good. Westin has not received any notice of continuing issues regarding ceiling stains since the original warranty request was filed. We are happy to reinspect with a submitted new warranty request. A warranty regarding the tile shelves was submitted on 1/4/2023 and Westin has been in contact with the buyers regarding the warranty request.

Title: Disappointed with Westin Homes - Poor Brick Quality and Unresponsive Customer Service I recently purchased a home from Westin Homes, and I regret to say that my experience has been far from satisfactory. Six months post-closing, I'm facing a significant issue with the brickwork, which has severely impacted my satisfaction and trust in this builder. Issue with Brick Color: The main concern is the brick color of my house. I chose the Alpine Fog brick for its unique grayish hue, but within just half a year, the color has faded dramatically, turning an unattractive shade of red. This is not what I expected from a reputed builder like Westin Homes, and it certainly doesn't align with the quality standards they advertise. Lack of Support and Responsiveness: My frustration was compounded by the lack of support from their customer service team. I opened a warranty ticket to address this issue, only to have it closed with a curt response stating it was "not warrantable." Seeking further assistance, I inquired about any necessary care or maintenance to protect the brick color, but my queries were met with silence. Despite multiple follow-ups, I have yet to receive any guidance or acknowledgment from their team. This experience has been disheartening. As a homeowner, I expected a certain level of quality and customer service from Westin Homes, but they have failed to meet these basic expectations. The poor quality of materials and the unresponsiveness of their customer service team are major red flags for any potential homebuyers considering Westin Homes. Attached the images of my home brick, what was showed in design center, and a screenshot of my emails to Westin homes warranty department. If you compare what showed in design center vs how our home brick is you will notice a drastic difference in color. I have worked with Stefan, and he is a great sales man, nothing wrong with him he was so patient and answered all my questions. He is also new to Westin homes.

I purchased my home 11/14/2016, I was informed 11/8/2023 while trying to renew my homeowner's insurance policy, that Westin Homes did not complete a Windstorm Inspection on my house. I reached out to the warrant department on 11/8/2023 and was told it would take 6 weeks to have the process done. This is absolutely ridiculous to learn that my family has been paying higher rates because an inspection was not done. Please keep in mind my with a 60 miles radius of the coastal area, so the inspection was required and complete negligence. As of today, I have yet to receive a follow up from WESTIN HOMES after I have expressed the great sense of urgency.

I wish i can put negative star.... So when you are buying a expensive house you expect good quality workmanship and after sales service. But sadly that not the case for Westin Homes. After I move-in Westin Candela-50 project home, I found some problem in plumbing and kitchen countertop and i raise the ticket accordingly. Lets talk about the problem first. I have counter-top/island in kitchen. When you turn off the faucet the little bit of water falls there or any water leaking from faucet the water flows to the other side. They put the slope in such a way that the water flows to the other side. For that, I need to mop the top of countertop everyday at least 5 times. The apartment i was living had a countertop way smaller in width than Westin 1. Water on that never flowed beyond 4-5 inches towards other side. But the Service contractor who came to check the problem keep denying there is any problem. Even the plumber from Westin came here to fix other problem can see the problem and keep suggesting to raise the matter to Westin as it is the job of Counter-top personnel. I also checked with independent contractor who also said slope is the problem. But its more than 3 Weeks he neither solve the problem nor closes the ticket. There was another problem in painting in door as they never painted that part. So i told them to fix and he answered in email that he can do it as a courtesy (As if he is doing mercy on me!). The same service contractor was so good before closing(As if he will any problem within a sec-1 text away as in his words ). Now he don't pick-up phone, don't even care to respond to the text. And this is called warranty service. Think about something you need from them which don't fall under warranty. Sorry for the long review. Probably they will not address the issue but it may be helpful for other people making decisions They are good at design but service....think many many times before you Buy

Horrible builder. Horrible warranty. Horrible customer service. Paid $940K for a home in the Lake Travis area. Four months in and we have discovered a plumbing leak in the foundation that will require jackhammering through the slab to run a new line to the kitchen island. We will have to move out and Westin has done very little to insure that dust from trenching through the slab will be contained. I’m worried about our furniture and potential damage to the HVAC system from the dust. I’m also worried about long term structural damage to the slab having been exposed to water over an extended period of time. We have a 8 week old and a toddler and can not live under these hazardous conditions. Westin’s warranty does not cover accommodations for relocation even though it’s their subcontractors cause that the home is not habitable during the course of the repair. We regret buying a Westin home and anyone considering buying one should strongly reconsider. They stop caring the second they have your money.

Leak was discovered 6/24 and plumbing company was onsite 24th, 26th and 27th to determine location and resolve issue. Trenching was scheduled and plumbers sealed area where trench was to take place along with cabinets, fridge, furniture, tv, windows, and HVAC registers in an effort to control dust. Remediation efforts are underway and Westin will be onsite Monday to determine final steps to resolve issue.
