Have pictures of issues and blueprints of items left off home should be added. Contacted mortgage co. Triad and I didn't own home till July 2023 due to all issues have that paperwork. So, why Henly start warranty so early. Also, they were there with gov. on last inspection. Why for champion and not buyer. They both say same issues and same problems. Henly was here and did nothing and said nothing to help after all my letters and pictures. So, no they are not for the customer just the builder. Is sad but true. I can send you pictures and drawings. Issues still here.

    Business Response

The customer special-ordered a home through us, the retailer.  The home was installed on his land on 1/5/2023.  The home included a 1-year manufacturer warranty.  The manufacturer states that the warranty begins when the home is delivered.  Therefore, the warranty on this home expired on 1/5/2024.  This particular manufacturer, Champion Home Builders in *********, **, prefers to have their own contractors do repairs on their homes.  For Champion Homes, we (the retailer), only do the trim carpentry that cannot be completed at the factory due to the house, at that time, being in two pieces.  Champion Homes sends contractors to make all other warranty repairs.  After we complete the trim work, we are not authorized to do any more work on the house.

We have been in contact with Champion Homes many times on behalf of the customer when he reported various issues with the house.  After the customer filed a complaint with the **************** of ******* and Community Affairs - ************************** (TDHCA-MHD), the owner of Henly Homes met with the customer along with two TDHCA-MHD inspectors at the customer's home.  After a thorough investigation of the customer's complaint, including personally inspecting the issues about which the customer complained, the state inspectors closed the complaint finding there were no warranty items to be assigned (report attached).  We cannot do any repairs on the customer's home without the manufacturer authorizing it.  Therefore, this complaint is misdirected.  We wish we could help.
