    At the beginning of 2022 Verbena changed ownership And I got new insurance. I gave them my insurance information in April at which time I wasn't advised of their desire to not accept my insurance. They also neglected to advise me that they would be charging me a cash price for my cleaning. On a whim, one week before my next appointment for cleaning, I left a message with a request for them to advise me as to any financial liability owed on my part. They waited until the day of the appointment to tell me I needed to pat them $164.50 . or they wouldn't clean my teeth. At that time 6 months after my giving them my insurance information they chose to tell me they didn't accept my dental insurance. Since the new owner took over this business that I've been using since 2019, They have chosen to not advise me of financial practices that I feel are in the least misleading as well as causing financial hardship for a person that subsists on less than $1500 per month. The final issue I have is that they can't be trusted to tell the truth in matters as simple as my payment of bills. On Monday April 3rd I attempted to pay the balance of what I felt I owed them on a $212 coinsurance liability that my insurance carrier told me should be for the 2 cleanings out of network.At that time I was told they wouldn't accept anything but payment in full. I was made to feel that my card wasn't charged at that time. I checked on the 4th and they had lied. They did charge the $47.50 to my account. The bottom line is that I feel I am victim to predatory Business practices, having been not advised at the time of service and given the choce to find providers that were in network. I only ask that Verbena apologize for their treatment and accept what I've paid them as payment in Full.

    As a private practice  our office bills insurance as courtesy to our patients, all amounts provided are an estimate of what insurance provides us at the time of visit. Patient is aware that if for any reason insurance does not pay, patient will be responsible for all remaining balances. This has been notified to all patients with dental insurance. A payment was made on 4/4/2023 towards balance. For details on accounts standing please contact our office and I would gladly be able to assist you.
