    On April 30, 2023, we paid Mark ********************** a deposit of ******* for roofing materials and another ******** for insurance deductible. Also, we decided to have some painting done and issued another check for ******* as a deposit. The paint job was a disaster so **** hired a second crew to fix the issues. When completed, we tried for a couple weeks to get in touch with him to inquire about the start date of our roof. On June 30, he informed us that he had two jobs ahead of us and would start when he got back into town. Did not hear from him again until July 11th, then July 18th, then after several attempts of trying to reach him by phone he finally responded by text on Aug. 29th. That is the last time we have heard from him. No roof and out over ******.

    Torres Roofing and Restoration was hired to install a metal roof on our new home. Without disclosing to us, he was actually subcontracting our roof to ***** Roofing (Tyler ***** Roofing). We did not know until the end of the job. **** Torres told us he had "a crew." We paid **** in full. About 10 days after we made our final payment, ***** Roofing contacted me to say they were still owed $12,850 and that **** would not answer their calls. After two days of attempting to contact him, he told us he was going to go pay *****. He told us he paid, but only paid them $7500. Mr. and ************** gave him 2 weeks to pay the remaining $5350. Today, he is not answering contact again. I have record of all texts with him and ***** both on phone and through ******** Messenger. ***** has threatened to put a lien on my home. Even worse they threatened to come take my roof off. I would like **** to either pay ***** or return the money to me so I can pay them. *********************** ************

    This matter has been settled and the parties involved have been paid. I meet with ***** this morning and paid the remainder balance. The home owner stated that she loved her siding that we installed for her and the new roof. Have a subcontractor do the install hasnt been a problem until now.

    I am rejecting this response because the remainder of $5,350 to ***** Roofing has NOT been paid.  He gave them a post dated check which he did not even sign.  Today my husband and I were served paperwork from an attorney warning of the consequences/liens if this debt is not paid. **** Torres of Torres Roofing is also listed in the complaint and should have been the only one in the complaint as he neither disclosed he was subcontracting our roof, nor paid the people he hired to do it.  I had no contract with *****.

    At this point in time the only option is to go to court. Feel free to say what you want Im ok with whats going on. I love the positive review you left me on ******** saying how much you love your $25,000 siding job and your roof. So thank you for that, thats one positive I was able to get out of this situation. Ive been contacted by previous clients stating that your trying to get them to join your cause as well. That Im not understanding this is the first time Ive been in the situation so please dont do that. That makes you look bad. But I forgive you and God bless!

    Mark *********************** of Torres Roofing and Restoration still has not paid his subcontractor on my roof. He still owes them $5,350. This issue is still not resolved.
