Around July 17, 2023 i purchase life insurance from American-Amicable because i'm a Army veteran, they were suppose to send me the policy by mail and it's been almost 3 month. I've called the office was told the policy went out on or about 7/24/23 several weeks had past still no policy, so i called again is August not sure of the date but was told it had been mailed out again on 8/26/23 as of today i still have not received the policy. I've been making auto payment since August, i want a immediate refunded and this policy cancel, poor customer service.Customer response

Our records indicate the original policy contract was mailed to ****************** agent for delivery. A duplicate policy was mailed directly to **************** on August 16, 2023, to the same address on this complaint.
In the interest of customer satisfaction, we have cancelled the policy as of the original issue date and sending funds to ****************** bank account and confirmation by mail.Customer response

****************** states that she attempted to contact our office but only received a voicemail. Our office hours are 8:00am 4:00pm Central Standard Time, Monday through Friday. If she called after those hours, ****************** would have received a recording advising to leave us a message for us to return her call the next business day. We could not find a recording from *******************
On April 12, 2023,****************** applied for and was issued a $6,000 Clear Choice whole life insurance policy that was issued May 3, 2023. This policy has a fixed premium of $37.29 and provided coverage until May 3, ****. We are unclear what ****************** is referring to in her statement when she said the policy would stop at a certain time. Even though the policy could provide coverage until May 3, ****, she could cancel at any time. We are also unclear about any other policy. The application we received did not indicate she had any other coverage, and no other policy was being replaced. Please see the attached copy of the application we received.Initial Complaint

Through my employment with the ****************, I signed up for this life insurance. Upon my departure, I looked at the policy and found it to have a value of over 200. When submitting the cancelation, nothing was said about the surrendering fee being the exact amount of the value of the policy. I find that to be odd. I really feel like this company is not to be trusted and I will definitely inform my former coworkers. They need not be allowed to trick the **************** employees any longer.Business response

We regret you were not aware of a surrender charge on your policy; however, Page 13 of your policy does provide the details if you were to surrender your policy. It does advise you may surrender your policy for the Accumulation Value minus the Surrender Charges minus any Indebtedness. Page 3B of the policy provide the surrender rates that are charge for the 15 year the surrender charge is present. We have attached copies of these from your policy contract for review.Customer response

I believe you are crooks and it still amazes me the amount of the surrender charge is the same amount as what I was due. I'm understanding that I will not get a refund, however, I will be enlightening my fellow co-workers to never do business with you. Be blessed!!!

Transaction date, May26, 2023 Amount, $80.44 Amount, $78.47 Life Insurance, American Amicable Life Insurance Company.Took my money with my card locked and over rode my account and still took it out. Also, I have already canceled it before May 26th. I told *************************** the sales rep. **** to face.They did not resolve the issue my bank had to. Account# ********** Tracking number don't know. My bank has all that information.Providers is my card but it is ****** Bank.I have two different complaints. We have no record of being advised of ****************** or Ms. ******** desire to cancel their policies which is why attempts to draft Ms. ******** bank account was made on May 26, 2023. We were not debiting her card. However, the two drafts were returned unpaid marked Customer Advised Not Authorized. No premiums were ever received, and the policies terminated due to lack of payment.Initial Complaint

I have been contacting this insurance company to set up my online account so that I can see my account and more. They gave me the wrong information twice, were rude, and nobody could help me. I have asked them to transfer me to someone more qualified, and they cannot do that either. All while keeping in mind I pay for this service, and I still cannot have access to my online profile.Business response

A representative from this insurance company came to my house claiming to be a representative from my Aetna Health Insurance and telling me he wanted to update my health insurance. After he got all of my personal information including my SS# and ******** # he asked me if I was interested in Life Insurance and told me he could get me such a great deal. I consented to it but the very next day I contacted him and told him I had changed my mind and he promised to cancel it. I told him I had decided I couldn't really afford it as I am a widow living on Social Security. ***** later the policy arrived and it stated that if you wanted to cancel just return the policy within 30 days of receiving and it would be canceled and no payment would be taken. I did this right away, returned the policy with a note stating I was not interested in having the insurance and please cancel the policy. Now weeks later I see this morning on my bank account they have taken a payment out. What do I do? How do I get them to stop?Business response

We have no record of being advised of ***************** desire to cancel her policy and have not received the policy back in our office. On June 19, 2023, we emailed **************** advising of this and provided the attached Policy Cancellation Form to be completed and returned for cancellation and refund of her policy.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: I have never received anything from this company except the policy which I returned the next day. I checked spam and my email and there was nothing. Their agent who talked me into the policy assured me that he had received a cancelation notice for the policy after I returned it. I have tried repeatedly to get a human being on the phone at their company but you could literally grow old waiting. I have made copies from here and will fill them out an send them today to hopefully be able to cancel this and be done with this company for good.

I have been trying to get my cash face value for my whole life Insurance premium for months. I called the company, spoke to GeeGee, to send me forms, for my cash value in December 2022. Never received them, She stated, you will have them in seven days. Never showed. I had cashed in policy ************. A lady at the Library, helped to print this form from their app. She only did one copy. I called again in December for the forms to be mailed, Never Showed. When I called to inquire about the Policy. Told me, no policy Never existed for Policy #**********. I have paid for years for this account, where is the money going? I went on line at www.americanamicable.com. system wouldn't take the number. Voice mail recording want take policy number. All the paperwork they have sent me has policy #********** on the paper. I have just been getting the toss around. I had it coming through automatic pay. They was paid in February 2023, took money but no policy, ***** Fargo, informed me AAIG, was putting In for a $553.38 in February 2023. Now ***** Fargo is Involved in this bad conduct. I get a letter they wanted over $800.00 plus. This Agent shows up to my house on Friday, from AAIG, telling my husband how he can save he and I on our Isurance Polices. I have been trying to get my face value since December. Please Help. I would like my cash value for this policy they claim does not exist.Business response

Ms. ******** policy (Policy No. **********) with American Amicable *********** of ** was a 10 Year $50,000 Easy Term life insurance policy that was issued April 19, 2012. The premiums for this policy were currently $276.69. The last premium paid was on February 17, 2023, when ****************** called our office to make a credit card payment over the phone that paid the December 19, 2022, premium.Previously Ms. ******** policy was being paid by ************** Draft until the December 19, 2022, was returned by the bank unpaid marked Payment Stopped. This policy lapsed on March 21, 2023 due to nonpayment of the January 19, 2023.
The policy with our company is not a whole life policy so it does not build cash value. We also do not have any record of ****************** ever contacting our office for cancellation and do not have anyone by the name of Geegee that works in our office. The policy number ***************** provided of ************ is not a policy number with our company so we are not sure what company this policy is with. We are also unsure who AAIG is that she has referenced in her complaint.Customer response

I let my policy go to their behavior and I put a do not call and let them know that I have registered with the national do not call after the time of my policy lapsing as I quit being a client up there the first call I received I indicated do not call national call this since then they've called me twice I want them cease and desistBusiness response

- The complete names of any persons to whom you spoke.
- The name of any company referenced in your call and in specific the name of the organization that actually made the call to you.
- The complete name and agents license number of any ********************** agent to whom you spoke.
- Any recordings you may have of the phone call which you may have, if you recorded the call.
- Any additional detailed information that you feel is relevant.
I cannot stress to you enough how much it is in our mutual self-interests to develop as much information as can be done so that this issue can be dealt with as quickly as possible.

American Amicable charged my account approximately $2500.00 since ***** of 2022. I didn't authorize these charges and didn't notice since I had another life insurance (American Income). They charged me ****** for ***** through September, then started charging my TWICE a month ****** and 197. I did not authorize this insurance! I did not need and it is flat out fraud!Business response
