We visited C&M Discount Tire on 12/3/23 and had two NEW tires placed on the rear of our 2019 Tesla model 3. We paid on that date $395.70. We were provided a hand written receipt highlighting a warranty on the tires plus the manufacturers warranty. On the receipt the manager wrote the last 2 numbers for the year very poorly which could be construed as a 23, or a 20 but it was poor penmanship.I should highlight we were out of the country for half of February 2024 and that detail is pertinent to the coming events.When driving in the rain this weekend, we noticed the car was struggling driving through the water. I checked the rear tires on the vehicle and they were almost bald at this point. We have not driven more than ***** miles since replacing them. Looking over the tire, it appears it was a "re-tread" which is where the carve the grooves back into the tire giving it the appearance of having more tread than legally allowable.We went back to the vendor twice for the issue, the first was on 3/24/24 which they told us we needed to talk to the manager.The second was this morning 3/25/24 where the manager ***** stated he was not going to do anything to honor the warranty, nor that they had sold us something it actually was not. We paid for new and did not receive new. He told us the receipt we had was from 2020 and didn't care about the transaction receipt we provided showing 12/3/23.
