      I signed up for an Ancestry free trial, not realizing there would be hidden fees. When the trial ended, I forgot to cancel and got charged $24. Then, when I finally went to cancel, I was told Id be charged another $24 as a cancellation fee. In total, Ive lost almost $50 for something I barely even used. Im only 15, just starting to learn how to manage things like this, and now I feel like Ive been taken advantage of. Its really disheartening to lose money this way, especially at my age.

      Beware of the unethical subscription practices. Subscribed for a "free" trial, cancelled on the first day that the "cancel subscription" feature was available, which was the first day of a new paid subscription. Was charged for a new subscription (monthly fee) and an early cancellation fee (one time). I've deleted my account with limited confidence that this will stop the "free" fee based subscription. The public data that was collected to make ancestry valuable is all available in federal, state, county, or city records. Good-bye ancestry.com - do better.

      Very predatory business practices. I do not recall signing up for a new "quarterly" subscription, yet I was billed $99 for it. To boot, when I reached out to customer service, only a day after I noticed the charge I was not able to receive a "refund" due to their predatory policy.

      This company refused to return the last payment after I had cancelled my membership. I do not think I can sign up for so an expensive membership.

      Cant access me data Ive tried resetting my email and called into customer service and they are telling me none of me emails are registered accounts. All of my data is lost.

      You used to be able to access some records for free, but now everything is behind a paywall. If you cancel your subscription because of cost, the records saved to your tree become locked behind the paywall. The site is completely useless without paying for a subscription, so I don't know why they even offer a free membership.

      This company operates with highly questionable subscription practices and lacks transparency. Their business model feels intentionally deceptive, and I strongly urge others to report their experiences and file chargebacks if necessary. Companies like this shouldn't be allowed to continue operating unchecked.

      Charged me 100 to renew membership after I had cancelled policy. Refused to refund. Never use them. Scammers
