I have never heard of this company. I check my credit score every few months and this is the first I have ever seen this company/account popped up. Apparently the account was opened back on 05/14/2017 with a high balance of $1487. Im very confused by this. I have never had to owe money to any housing of any kind. I love for this to be looked into to have a clearer understanding. And if this is not directly from Wasatch, then who is it from?

      Hi ******,

Thank you so much for reaching out to us. I apologize for any confusion caused by this. I did a search in our system and it looks like you resided in one of our apartment communities in *******. I show your move-in date as that same date of 05/14/2017 that you reference. I can see from your account that you were enrolled in a service we offer to help build credit, called Rent Plus. This service is only to help show positive payment history on your credit report, and will never report negative or late payments. A lot of our residents have seen a lot of success in using the service. I can confirm that you do not currently owe any money. The reason why you may see that "balance" is because it is referencing your monthly payment commitment. I can see that you were removed as a roommate on this lease agreement on 3/30/2021, so this should not continue to report on your credit now, but you may still see it as it shows your previous payment history for the years that you lived there. Again, this should not be showing in any derogatory capacity on your credit report. If you have additional questions, please let me know and I will do my best to answer them.

      Kind regards,

      *********************

Overall, the staff here is rude, disrespectful, unhelpful, and has an overall lack of training. They are nearly impossible to get ahold of, and they lie about fixing problems or leaving notes for their superiors. And if you have a problem that requires a manager, forget it. She is hard to reach, does not return calls or emails, and twists her words so she doesnt have to follow through on promises made. The unit was not cleaned when we moved in. We had no wifi for a month. We had random charges that no one could explain. Specific staff refuse to help us, even if they are the only ones in the building. They are hard to work with, especially when it comes to pets. I have been lied to on multiple occasions. I have had staff intentionally put me in positions that make me look bad because they do not like me. The towing company does not respond to calls. The security is a joke. Theft rates are high. They do everything they can to charge you money without doing any work to earn it. My biggest issue is that when I finally sat down with the manager and got to talk about fixing all these issues and more, some of her fixes took over nine months to be complete, and other promises have been broken. I was told that we would not have to pay the $75 cleaning fee when we moved out (as long as the apartment was in good condition, which it is). Now the manager is backtracking and saying she never meant that we wouldnt pay that fee, she only meant she wouldnt charge us any extra as long as it was clean, which is not a benefit or a reparation - that is literally just the lease terms. I have also requested three times now a copy of our move out inspection paperwork. I have yet to receive a copy. I know for a fact that she tried to redo the walkthrough without written notice or my consent, and she has now just started not even returning my calls. I would be happy to provide further information regarding specific instances with staff if necessary, I just am unable to do it here.

      Dear Ashlan,

We want to thank you for your feedback and offer our sincerest apologies for missing the **** with you. We are aware of the concerns you shared regarding internet connectivity and questions you had on your utility account regarding RentPlus. It is our understanding that the concerns were addressed and repaired, and your resident account was credited for the issues as a resolution to your concern when they were presented to the onsite team.

Regarding theft, we have been working with ********************* on increasing their presence in the area, and we have also increased our night patrol services in hopes of deterring this kind of activity. With that being said, it is not possible for us to guarantee that theft or other crimes will never occur in or around our communities.

We apologize that the apartment was not cleaned to our desired standard at the time of your move in. We are aware of the arrangement that our community manager made to waive the cost of general apartment cleaning at move out, however the arrangement did not include waiving the cost of flooring/carpet charges. At the time of move out, all residents are required to pay for the cost to maintain the flooring/carpet as outlined in the lease.

We are committed to providing our residents with an exemplary experience at ************, and as an act of goodwill we are willing to reduce the carpet/flooring cost to $55 and waive the $15 touch up paint charge. You will be receiving an updated move out statement reflecting the credits mentioned by mail in the next **** business days.

We wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the business response, and am satisfied with the refund amount given. However, my complaints regarding their level of customer service remains. The fact that it has taken thirteen months and an official complaint filed for them to uphold their end of the bargain is ridiculous and cannot be considered good business practices.

      Sincerely,

      ***********************

Ive never heard of them before in my life, never been contacted by them, and all of a sudden two accounts are on my credit report. Not okay. Ive worked hard on my credit not for some company to abuse their powers and just plop accounts on my credit file without contacting me.

      Hi ***,

I believe that at this point a representative from ********* has already reached out to you to help explain why you are seeing this on your credit. I do want to reiterate what they told me, and that is that these accounts you are seeing are not actually from a Wasatch community. The accounts are from another community, not related in any way to Wasatch, who also uses the ********* services. Wasatch Property Management has no record of you as a resident or ours, and has not reported that to any credit bureaus. ********* has told me that they are working with you separately on this.

      Thank you,

      *********************
