I parked at a parking garage in Anapolis Maryland. The signs said "pay as you leave" which to me meant when I drove out. Coming back to the car I saw that I could pay through the Parkmobile app which I immediately did. Got an invoice from Vanguard Parking Solutions in FL saying I must immediately pay $58.50 within 15 days or the bill would be $85 and sent to collections. I sent an email explaining how unclear the instructions are and that my payment through Parkmobile showed I was not trying to avoid payment. I attached a screenshot. Received a call back that they were sorry, and unless I sent them a picture of the sign they could not cancel the invoice. This is an obvious money making scam by this company and customer service is a joke.Initial Complaint

12/20/2024. I parked at ********* ****** on Miami Beach, which is FREE PARKING, and this scam company sent me a fake ticket in the mail saying I owe $70 for unpaid parking. I have been going to ********* ****** every day for the past 10 years and you don’t have to pay to park there. In fact, there are no parking apps, no signs, no parking machines in that plaza, so how exactly can this fishy company send me a ticket saying I have not paid? We all need to get together and form do a class action against this company! If anyone wants to, I am down.Initial Complaint

On 11/29/24 I parked at a facility at **** ******** *** in Cleveland OH sometime after 5 pm and exited the facility shortly after 11 pm (the ticket I received indicated ok to park in the spot until long after midnight) - the cost was $8.00 which I paid at the machine by credit card after putting in license and spot number. On December 16, 2024 (today) I received a notice from Vanguard Parking Solutions indicating that I owed $59.40 "parking payment notice" and that failure to pay by 12/17/24 (next day) would result in collections, arbitration, or other legal action. For what? What violation? There is no indication what they are deeming the "violation". Furthermore, the notice includes an unclear photo of a vehicle with an incorrect entry time of 11:56 on 11/29 (at this time I was actually driving to the airport) and incorrect exit time of 6:18 pm. I'm thinking this is a SCAM or some sort of SHAKEDOWN attempt by this company, and is in no way legal. I did contact the number provided ###-###-#### and of course "no agent available". What is the recourse?Initial Complaint

I received a parking ticket from this company, despite me having paid for my parking. I have attempted to contact them to file a dispute, but no one answers. They state I have to email them, which I did, but I still have not heard back from them. I have proof on my bank statements that I paid for the parking. I have seen numerous reports online complaining that this company performs scams and sends people parking tickets without a valid reason. They need to be put out of business!Initial Complaint

Notice number *******. On 11/19/24 I paid to park at a private lot which was free for decades. I noticed that they started charging which was odd and downloaded the app on the parking space and paid $9.36 to park. 2 weeks later I received a letter demanding that I pay $69.55 for parking at the same lot without paying. First of all, I paid and have proof. Secondly, I don’t think their actions are legal. They have photos which I didn’t consent to and nowhere was it posted that this was a possible penalty. Honestly I will stop frequenting a beloved restaurant because of this and i know this is negatively impacting the businesses serviced by the lot which have fewer customers because of this behavior.Initial Complaint

i noticed the parking lot of an establishment i visit almost every day recently became private by the presence of signs stating we had to start paying for parking. however, the business i visit provided me with a free parking validation barcode which i scanned. after 2 weeks i got a notice in the mail stating i had 15 days from my violation date to pay $69 before the ticket penalty increased to $125. i was confused so i called the enforcement authority on the notice i received “vanguard parking solutions”. i spoke to someone who informed me i actually had 3 violations amounting to $375. i mentioned the validation barcode i was provided by the business and i was told (by a very rude person) that i had 10 minutes to validate from the time i arrived which i apparently exceeded. i mentioned i have a handicap pass which was clearly displayed, they countered by informing me the lot is private which apparently nullifies any handicap exception, which was news to me. i was very apologetic and explained my lack of awareness of the 10 minute rule and also the handicap rule and was told there was nothing they could do to help me. she then said if i did not pay they would send me to collection and that would ruin my credit. i cannot afford to pay my fines and i think this is incredibly unethical because there are no signs clearly stating either rule and she countered by telling me “yes there are” however i am quite literally in the lot as i write this and there are indeed, no signs that clearly state either requirement. i am attaching photos of the aforementioned sign. if you’re going to charge so much money for a violation it should be CLEARLY stated that 1. you have 10 minutes to validate and 2. that handicap parking is not respected. additionally there should be a greater attention to detail in these matter as they pertain to customer service.Initial Complaint

I pulled into a parking garage managed by Vanguard Parking Solutions in Coconut Creek, Florida and I was not able to get the app to work to pay. I went up the stairs to the street to see if I could get better reception but I was not successful. I went back and moved my car to another parking facility since the payment processing app was not functioning. The whole process took 18 minutes. I received a payment invoice for $67.68 in the mail for 18 minutes of being in the underground lot. I reached out when I received the bill. It was dated 10/21 but I did not receive it until 11/5. When you call about the bill you can’t speak to anyone. You have to send a contact note. I did so on 11/6. I requested a more reasonable fee be charged. They refused to change it. I went in to pay the next day and they assessed a $42 late fee brining charges to $109.68. I sent another note and they agreed to bring the fee to $55 but it had to be paid that night 11/9. I was not at my computer that day so I could not go in and pay within the 24 hours. Now I am arguing with them again to resolve the situation. I am waiting for their response. This situation is highly suspect and the charges are excessive. No access to individuals is also unacceptable. Invoice*******. The responses came from *********************Initial Complaint

I used a parking garage in DC on 10/13/24. There was a large sign at the front of the garage that said the first 3 hours of parking are free. We parked for 2 hours, then left. I received a notice a few weeks later from Vanguard Parking Solutions saying that I owed them $58.30 after parking for roughly 1.5 hours, and if I didn't pay in 2 weeks I owed $125. (this is $29/hour parking rate!) I reached out to the customer service and explained that what happened. I received a curt response saying there was no sign and that I owed the money. Because I don't live in DC, I can't go take a picture of the sign. The email felt very scammy. After looking them up online, and reading through other user comments, it looks like this and other fraudulent practices are used in many states.
