Scam. I paid $49 for absolutely nothing. I made an appointment to have my ducts clean from new construction. I was very clear when I made appointment, stating that I saw a $49 coupon for this. The company explained that it might be additional costs with more vents to be cleaned than what was included on the coupon. I was OK with that. Day of appointment. Sales guy came out, walked around with me, was very friendly, even personal. Told me dust is part of the area I live and new construction. Called his boss , in front of me ??, to get me a "discount" on what he thought I needed. Cheapest solution was $1550 air purifier. He even walked me out to his van to show it to me. I declined and that is when he requested his $49. I asked him for what? He did not do one thing except waist an hour of my day. I still have dust, no clean air ducts and I had to pay him $49. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Sales guy was nice but how could I ever be a happy customer when I paid for literally nothing. ??????? No Thanks.

We had Apex come out to clean our ducts and return vents. They showed us photos of what was in the ductwork, and it was gross! We had originally considered having the disinfectant sprayed inside the ductwork but decided that the HALO-LED purifier was a better deal in the long run than the disinfectant since we could go longer before needing to have the vents cleaned again. Even though the cost was higher in the short term, the purifier made sense to us. The technician arrived on time and ready to work. He cleaned all our vents and 4 air returns. Once that work was done, he installed the purifier. It works great!! We could tell the air was cleaner right away by the fresh smell of the purifier. I would recommend this company to anyone. They are prompt, clean, efficient and friendly. We were joking with ****** the technician, and enjoyed meeting him. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about HVAC. The price we paid was a great deal for what we got. There was no high-pressure salesman trying to up-sell us, and the entire experience was great!!This company is great, and we highly recommend them!! You won't regret it!

This company is a scam, and heres why:I needed to have the Furnace inspected due to failure. The technician stated the blower motor was out. He explained two prices for a new motor; original one according to the brand $1600 and a universal motor $1095. With doubts I agreed since it was a snowy day and the house had no heat. He then charged me $250 to clean the blower. I come to find out the a NEW motor blower cost $265 to $300 directly from their website. When I called and asked about this, the technician then changed his prices of the motor from $1095 to $400 and the rest was due to labor and cleaning. What the hell? He charges $300 the hour? Then I called the office and the scheduler stated that they assign a pay amount per hour to their techs and definitely not $300. He scammed me and that is messed up for this company to do with their customer demonstrating no integrity on what they do.

Scheduled an appointment, they were a no show. Said they made a scheduling error. For this they gave me a $50 credit. Rescheduled and they showed up. The $49 special turned out to be a high pressure sales tactic to do a whole home cleaning. I decided to do the whole house cleaning for $248. On line there is a $50 off coupon if you do a whole house cleaning. Yeah, never got that surprise. Then they showed me some rust in my ac coils which would only take $990 to correct, but they could do even something better for only $2100. After cleaning my ducts (not much in them) they were concerned for my health as we had some sort of unknown microorganism growing throughout our vents. They did some swab test that turns purple to prove you have unknown killer microorganisms living within the ducts. This could cause grave respiratory issues, even hospitalizations or worse. To finish up, they cleaned the dryer vent which I was happy about getting done. When I went out to my yard, I found the vent broken and the whole open to the elements. Pieces of the vent were on the ground. They didn't even tell me. If you love high pressure upsells, a possible reason you are going to get gravely ill, and want to part with another 2 grand, this is your company.

Do Not Trust Them! Apex Clean Air company have no integrity! Especially the owner! Their employee broke a dolls fingers that was over 100 years old and lied about it. The owner of the company agreed to pay $400 to repair the doll. Now that the doll is repaired he is going back on his word. He claims he now believes his employee. We are empty nesters and no one could have broken the doll in our home we have no visitors but him. We told him in the beginning not to move anything in the formal room but to come get us. He didn't listen and cleaned the vents in that room. He stood up the doll after knocking her over and did not tell us he'd broken her. That's dishonest! He also never finished the job and never cleaned our dryer vent. He said they would be out the following day. I have called over 7 times, sent emails but they refuse to finish their work. They have also refused to pay for a broken doll! I could not afford to fix but went off of the owners word I would be paid. That was 5 months ago! When a company stands behind a lying employee they loose business! They did an awful job and did not complete the work. It cost us over $400.00 and got a bad job plus they still need to finish their work. Dishonest company!

We had a new furnace and AC system installed as well as duct cleaning done earlier this month, and were very happy with the results. The duct cleaner, ****** was very thorough and respectful of our furniture and walls. He showed me before and after pics and the ducts definitely needed to be cleaned. They looked much better afterward. The installer, ****, was very patient and explained everything he was going to do, and then he did a super clean job. All the wires were nicely wrapped and the new ductwork was very neat and clean. We were very, very impressed with his attention to detail. Our house is old and the area was small, and **** took the time to make the furnace look really good. I have to stand near it to do laundry and he made sure the ductwork was out of the way and tightly secured to the ceiling. I would highly recommend Apex for a professional and high-quality install.

************** was great that did the $49 vent cleaning, but like other reviewers, there will be sales tactics. We live in a very old house, so we were actually interested to see what a brand new furnace and AC unit would normally cost so we listened even though it interrupted us during our workday working from home as it took longer to get the noisy vent cleaning done as it paused to get the salesman to do his spiel. They sold us on the additional ** air purifier which costs $169 at ********** or Target online. Therefore, the final cost of $649 would indicate that the ** air purifier install was a whopping $431. They have subsequently offered one free furnace tune up and one free AC tune up. I dont need either.

We get regular checkups and during the pandemic purchased an air filter and got our ducts cleaned--the wash isn't recommended by the *** but it happened anyway. I've never been super impressed but they get the job done well enough. I have been thinking of purchasing an additional air filter for the bedroom and I'm glad I started doing research. Come to find out that the type of air filter Apex installed, which is a UV light, produces ozone which results in serious health problems--it is not recommended! On top of that most UV lights on the market are no where near the price they charged us. Filters that are recommended by health organizations are H*** and they too, even the ones with all the bells and whistles, wouldn't have dreamed of ripping us off like this. It wasn't even installed in the right place--I don't know if that would have reduced the ozone or not, the installer couldn't reach the main system so he just put it in our house in the air conditioner tube. We paid thousands to introduce new risks and potentially a lifetime of health problems. Our health was normal in the years before the installation, things were okay for a while because of all of the precautions, but then we started getting multiple piled on-top of each other communicable illnesses of all kinds non-stop since last autumn for months, it induced anxiety in two people, one hospitalization in another until the illnesses were more bearable and we've even gotten a few days off. My husband and I take different approaches to health and the effect is the same and we're a young family. I AM ABSOLUTELY DEVASTATED and will try and work on my reluctant husband to find a new company if there is no refund; I'd like to take this monstrosity away too, but I guess we can just unplug it if that's too much work since there will be a physical hole in the system. We were also told this would improve the value of our home, but not with every health website onsite warning of the dangers of UV light.

I purchased a $40 APEX Groupon for air ducts, dryer vent, and return cleaning. All I really needed was my dryer vent cleaned per an HOA requirement. Anyway, a tech from APEX came out (later than he told me on the phone) and reviewed what he planned to do. He then pitched how I needed the blower in my furnace cleaned because of this and that. Unfortunately, I agreed to the additional $250 cleaning. After cleaning the air vents and the blower (2.5 hours), the tech said he was finished and was packing up. I quickly peeked at the dryer and asked if he cleaned the vent (it was obvious he didnt). He said that hes going to clean the vents from the outside on his way out & that hed take pictures to send me. Less than five minutes later, I noticed the tech getting ready to drive away, without cleaning the dryer vent. When I stopped him to ask about the dryer vent, he said he needed a taller ladder & that hed have to come back later that evening. So later that evening, I tried to reach him a couple times- no response. It wasnt until he read a text stating that I would stop payment on the check if I didnt hear from him. He immediately called, with a bad attitude, & said he would be over 25 mins. I asked if he could clean the dryer vent from the inside- he refused (Ive been doing this a long time, Im doing it from the outside). Well, turns out he couldnt successfully complete the job from the outside, so he ended up coming inside after all. He got the job done within about 30 mins. All in all, this situation cost me $250 and HOURS of my time. Not a good experience. It might be worth going elsewhere I wish I had!! I should mention that I tipped him $20 & bought him lunch.
