      Predatory loan practices. They took advantage of my young age and little to no experience with home improvement loans. Looked at possibilities to pay-off early and avoid interest, but payoff amount includes 100% of the interest for the term of the loan.

      I had to call Medallion on Monday, March 3rd to change my due date and I was told you only get one shot at changing the date to the life of the loan. So I get paid bi-weekly as a Peace Officer and I explained to them I needed the 14th of each month as I was literally cutting it close on my bills. The girl on the phone said no problem and took my info down and even bank and routing number and said I should receive an email within 24 to 48 hours and sign the paperwork and send it back. Needless to say I never receive no e-mail and I checked my spam folder, so I was forced to call Thursday, March, 13th and again I was informed an email would be sent to me along with finding out they screwed up the date change! I requested the 14th of every month and they claimed that a *** made an error and it was being put to the 12th! I told them no it was suppose to be the 14th as I am paid by-weekly.... The lady who we will call ********, stated, "I will escalate your call to a Supervisor", never happened! She then stated I spoke to a Supervisor before which is a complete lie as I never was given nor forwarded the opportunity to speak with a Supervisor! After all was said and done I was forced to again call back on Friday, March 14th as I never received a 3rd e-mail they alleged to have sent! Also changing the correct date, instead they never sent nothing and never even took out the money for the bill! This company is an utter fking joke! They have lack of integrity, lack of respect for the customer, and lack common sense! They legit will argue there is nothing they can do yet why did you take my bank and routing info if you weren't going to take the money out for the bill and place the date change! You people are unprofessional and I would never in my life recommend this business to anyone.

      They are merging into a new system and took out an automatic payment from two different accounts this month. Ive been on the phone for over 30 minutes and the other department hasnt refunded my money and theres no direct line to the other ***** Its a good thing I had money in the old account otherwise Id have an overdraft as well. I had switched the auto pay account months ago. This shouldnt be a problem.

      I would leave 0 for the rating if I could. We borrowed from this bank in 2019. In 2020 we went to sell our house. When we had the offer agreed on I went and updated all of our loans and banks with our new address. I received a call from Medallion wanting to know why we changed our address. I told them we sold our house and were moving. They then asked if we were paying off the loan with the profit from the sale. I told them no that wasn't in the agreement and we would continue paying on the loan. We paid on time each month for the next 4 years (on time a total of 5 years)... About a month ago we receive a call from who we thought at the time was a scammer telling us we need to pay off the loan due to a lien. When could we send the money? We hung up... Then we are contacted by the new owner (who we still have contact with) because she is now selling that home. She tells us there is a lien against the home by Medallion bank. When I look up on the county website I discover that the lien was put on the home the day before we signed the title to the new owner!! No good deed goes unpunished I guess. We were not told that we had a lien. The title company did not check hours before we signed to discover the lien. The new owner did not get title insurance. We now have to get a home equity loan on our new home (adding a lien on this one) to pay off the other so she can sell the house. They did us dirty because we were honest and paid on time every month but had a lien on a home we no longer owned. It would have been different if the lien had been placed when we took out the loan but, they waited until they found out that we sold it (by me!!) to put a lien on it. **************** (title ***** said they will expedite the lien removal once the payment posts. So nice of them...not!

      We are disappointed you are unhappy with your experience. Please refer to your Simple Interest Note and Security Agreement, page 2 sections Ownership and Risk of Loss and Security Interest. Please be aware that when your home was sold, the Loan should have been paid off with the proceeds from the sell, according to the Note. Upon signing the Simple Interest Note and Security Agreement you granted us a security interest as a fixture filing on the waterproofing that is attached to the property. Upon being notified that the property was being sold, we exercised our right to secure our interest. We are happy to expedite the lien termination once a payoff has been received.

      They only care about money we are in a crisis due to ******. I called and asked for a deferment for a month and they refused because we have only made 17 payments and not 18

      I have had to call in to make two payments now and talk to people because their website does not work. And that is how this lender gets you. Their website doesn't work so they charge you to pay via phone, $8. I have sent feedback on this on their site. Everyone plays dumb. They say I'm not registered, well duh the website doesn't work. I have pictures from my phone, laptop and computer where it says the website can't be reached. We are regretting using medallion because of all the headaches with making payments.

      Do not use this bank. They are awful. Charge you late fees and "other fees" but can't specify what they're for.

      Something FISHY going on with payments. I send in money to be applied for principle. It is put to interest. This is not right!! Very improper banking procedures!

      Medallion Bank applies payments to principal only when there is no interest or any fees due. If you wish to make a principal only payment, you can make a second payment on the same day as your monthly payment. Assuming the interest accrual was caught up when your monthly payment was made, the second payment should be applied to the principal balance.       I was turned down for a loan immediately on the phone without any reason given. Just received a letter which tells me that if I will write a letter explaining why I need a reason for being turned down that they will provide a reason within another 30 days. They can turn me down immediately, but I have to beg and then wait 30 days. Pretty sorry way to run to treat customers.
