Don’t purchase a policy with this company. They sent a technician out to look over my failing fridge. Charged me over $70 to level the fridge. Came out a second time because they agreed they didn’t service the problem. Suggested the doors be replaced and claimed they weren’t covered. Not exploring the fact that other parts could be failing. Sent a settlement check for $25, the difference of new seals (not needed or suggested by the technician) less “my portion” of the total. A few months later the fridge failed and they refused to cover the fridge “they had settled”. I informed them I hadn’t cashed the check and the policy was still under the policy. The attorney was kind enough to document a false timeline of events and manifest a settlement for seals and not the doors that the company researched and suggested. I’ll be taking them to small claims over the matter.

Thank you Shawn C****** for taking the time to voice your opinion. The first time NHG was called out to your home was for the leveling of your Refrigerator. The Contractor felt this was all it needed. This is not a covered item in your Service Contract so therefore you were liable for the whole truck charge. You would only pay the $45 of the total amount. You did not pay over $70, you paid $45. The second time NHG sent a Vendor out, they determined that both of the doors were "bowed" and cannot be fixed. The only thing that might "help" is to purchase new gaskets, but would probably be a waste of time because the doors were so bowed. NHG does not cover bent or bowed doors. Only the homeowner knows how they got bowed. As a gesture of Customer Service, we offered the cost of the gaskets; less the money he owed from the first call, that he did not pay and sent him the difference as a Settlement. Homeowner needed to replace his refrigerator. This all happened in June of 2020. In July of 2021, almost 5 months after his Home Warranty expired, Mr. Carlson informed us that he had not cashed his check and therefore he was not accepting the amount or the Settlement. He had also purchased a new refrigerator and had the old one with the bowed doors hauled away. He is welcome to use an Attorney (NHG does not understand a timeline done by an attorney) and contact the American Arbitration Association and open up a file. NHG will await the results. Thank you.
