Date of transaction was 06/28/2024 Purchase price: $50 Agreement: We sit through a 90 minute web video and will receive our choice of a vacation at a very discounted price! Additional promises made by rep of Global: every vacation is guaranteed in a condo! Flights can be chosen WHEN you want, etc. After reading the reviews online about this company, they do not meet these guarantees with their clients. I have requested our $50 deposit because we were mislead that day and fraud occurred. Consumer protection laws in ***** allow me to *** this company in small claims court if they do not contact me and refund me the deposit of $50.Please refund me the $50 deposit, that is all.

We were surprised to receive this complaint, especially since we had already communicated with **************** and agreed to refund his deposit. It's important to clarify that ****************' accusations of fraud were based on secondhand information rather than his personal experience.

I was surprised to receive this complaint when I opened my email on Monday morning as our marketing team was reaching out and agreeing to his deposit. He messaged our scheduling department on Saturday morning and as soon as that message was seen on Monday morning they promptly replied and reached out.

There was no purchase necessary and we chose not to buy. I texted the two phone numbers we were given on 3/26/2024 the date of presentation and did not receive any reply at all. I signed up to at 3:15 PM on Tuesday, March 5, 2024. I was promised a gift of a **********, trip for two adults, and two children, including hotel and airfare and ****** tickets for all of the parties traveling. I was also told the only blackouts were on major holidays, which seems to have a lie as well . I was told that it would cost me out of pocket $300 including the 25 that I already paid . The representative from global travel networks organization didnt show up to the presentation until 3.26. They immediately canceled my group presentation when I pointed it out that they were late. They said they were going to give me they sent me a slip saying I could have the other gift that I didnt choose and didnt give me the option of the one that I did. I had to pay for a babysitter for my children for the timeframe that I was alotting for this presentation, (50$). I paid a $25 deposit on the timeslot. When I called the office to try and resolve the issue, they have not returned my call. I ran into the marketer that booked my appointment at another event. I explained my concerns he said he would address it. Still no response from the company. I would like the gift that was promised. And truly would like my time reimbursed as I allotted time for them that they did not utilize and that cost me money.

After reviewing the feedback provided and internal notes regarding your visit, it appears that there were misunderstandings and frustrations on both sides in trying to resolve the issues on the night in question. Regarding the promotion, we take all claims of misrepresentation very seriously. All of our representatives undergo extensive training on accurately explaining all promotions. To ensure transparency, we record calls and send the terms of the promotion along with the confirmation email.

I received a call on 12/27 saying that we had won a trip for 4 to ********** (and they ended up included flights with a promotion). I do recall entering to win the contest through event nerdz so I thought there is a possibility it could be real but was very skeptical. They kept reassuring us that they are not a timeshare or a scam and that we do not need to buy anything. They simply want to promote their business and then we get a free trip. We were so excited. At this time they told us that they would even include the flights so long as we had our meeting within a certain frame of time to meet the promotion they had going before it ended. So a day or two later we did our meeting. My fiance even rearranged his schedule around to make it. It's a 90 minute meeting but we did find their services to be pretty cool and did feel that in the future we may want to try them out as it seems to be a good deal, but it just doesn't work for us right now. After the meeting, they connect you with one of their representatives to offer their services with a discount. We declined but let them know possibly in the future. We were told within 24 to 48 hours we should receive our email to fill out and then we should receive our package in the mail. I waited a couple days and never received an email. So then I messaged **** on 12/31 and let him know that we never got the email. He let me know that it is probably running slow due to the holidays but that he would reach out to someone. So I gave them some time and then I messaged again on 1/4/24 and let **** know that we still had not received an email, he responded saying that They are just getting back from the holidays and that he will reach out to somebody and let me know.. I gave him our names and waited to hear back.. still nothing so again on 1/23/24 I messaged **** again and let him know that we still have not received the email. He said that he would forward my information to *** and they would get back to me. It's 1/31/24 and I still have not heard anything. I just want to warn those who don't have time to sit through an hour and a half for something they don't plan to purchase that there is no trip in the end. Or at least there wasn't for us.

The company contacted me and my spouse and offered a trip to Sedona, AZ and told us that we won the free trip and just had to join a zoom meeting. When I wasn't able to join immediately they kicked my spouse out of the zoom call and told her she could not join unless I was there. This company should not be a BBB accredited company.

When we reached out to the *******'s, it was clearly explained to them on a recorded phone call that they both needed to be present for the full meeting top receive the offered promotion.

When the meeting began, it became clear that Mr ******* had a work emergency so was unavailable for the scheduled appointment they were moved into the waiting room, and we immediately offered to schedule them for a new appointment.  They got frustrated that we would not allow Mrs ******* to attend the meeting alone. I am including screenshots of all text messages with them.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: The business practices are unacceptable and are false advertising by the company. The original post does not specify this process needs to be done. It clearly states that you only have to sign up. With no mentioning of a call or video call needed to receive the giveaway stated in the post. False advertisement is a highly unacceptable practice. The company needs to notify customers of these things in the description of the ad otherwise it is considered false advertisement. Which is a legal issue that can bring legal repercussion.

      Sincerely,

Was contacted by Global Travel Network on 10/25. On 10/26 at 7:00PM my husband and I attended via Zoom a 90 minute presentation ( that was 2.5 hours) for a 8 day 7 night all inclusive trip to include airfare. I was told I would receive the email within 2 weeks. The presentation was *great and enjoyable, however we have not received an email or phone call since 10/26/23. On 12/5, I reached out to ****** and was told, "I will have them resend the travel voucher today (12/5). please let me know if you do not received receive the voucher."AS of today 12/11/23, I have not received anything from Global Travel Network

It looks like the ****** email address was entered incorrectly in our system, so the message wasn't sent back in October to get the certificate mailed out.  We corrected the issue, and the form was resent to yesterday from *********************  Once we get that completed, the certificate for the promotion will be mailed to you via USPS.

I entered contest to win free vacation to ****** for two. They called me to say I won and then started talking about all you have to pay is taxes and attend this meeting, blah blah blah. I dont appreciate the false advertising. Free means without doing anything at all. Deceptive practices I frown upon when doing business.

The call the ****** received, was to verify her entry to the prize giveaway, and during the call she was informed that a sponsor of the promotion had an offer for her if she wanted. The offer included the same stay in ****** that she entered to win, if she attended a presentation. (See below for the exact wording)

The drawing for the prize ****** entered has not happened yet, so she still has the potential to win the prize package.

Here is a portion of the dialogue and how it was explained:
Hi ************** am calling with the Rewards department and I wanted to verity the entry you submitted on ******** to win the Hawaiian Vacation Getaway I need to make sure al the information we have Is correct based on your submission. First I need to tell you that this call is being recorded for quality assurance and training.

Now I have the spelling of your first name as ******, and last name as ***** is this correct?

Great ******, now we show you are single is that correct?
The entry form shows you are between the ages of 35 and 72?
You're currently employed and your annual household income this year will be greater than $40,000?
Your entry form also states that you are a US citizen and speak fluent English?

Excellent, now that we know all of your information is correct I am going to put it in the system for verification it only takes a second. While we're waiting, I want to Confirm your Zip code as:

      Ow Wow this is awesome!

Congratulations, based on your qualifications it looks like one of our sponsors wants to offer you the same say in ****** that you entered to win!!!
That trip will be good for 4 days and three nights in Oahu. All you are responsible for is the taxes and were giving you 18 months to use the trip so NO Rush! I need you to grab a pen , a sheet of paper so we can go over your getaway details so Let me know when you are ready.

I was called by this company and they set up a time with me to do an hour and a half zoom meeting in exchange for a free vacation. I was 100% interested in hearing them out. They wanted my husband to participate. I explained his disability and they didnt care. I asked for this to go to their management and someone to call me back. I never received a call back and never got the email to attend the meeting. I also never received any email with any of their contact information which I was also promised. They were not understanding of my husbands inability to understand a meeting and did not care about his disability. I think the person on the call and their manager wanted to hide this from the company so they did not take it further up. I want it reviewed by someone higher in the company as I dont think a large company would not many an accommodation for someones disability.

I received a voicemail and called back and left my phone number and email address and then never heard back. I received a call from another employee today who was calling me based off of being in the automated system not responding to this specific complaint. He said he will have someone reach out to me. He said it might initially be by text. I still havent heard anything new so I dont know why this issue is being marked as resolved as though its waiting on me. I called back and am waiting on them.
