      So not sure why I was given two car payments back then I transferred these two payments to my ***** Fargo account they tried to take one payment back I stopped it because it was a random car payment coming out that I did not authorize now I have ten different stories as to why Im negative 337 in my mountain America account I thought I loved this bank this stuff shouldnt happen my car is now paid off but Im still having issues with this credit union

      Between January 6 and January 13 $85,200.00 was transfered out of my account to an account with Citibank and ******* These transactions were done as an online transfer without any notification or approval from me. I do not check my account often so I reported the fraud on April 4. They informed me it is past the 60 day to report to be fed insured. They filed it with the fraud department but because the funds no longer are in the account they were transfered to, they said there is nothing they can do and are closing the case. No further assistance. No effort to prosecute the people who's account it went into. I am without the money and the person who committed the fraud is $85,200.00 richer with no consequences.

      Over the last 2 1/2 weeks, I have been lied to in regards to a check I had deposited. I was given several stories ranging from receiving funds in my account in 3-5 business days to approx. 2-3 MONTHS. I have had several employees give me contradictory information in regards to loan applications on multiple occasions as well. The level of dishonesty in this institution is horrendous. I don't think I've ever experienced this poor of customer service. Since March 22nd, I have been ON HOLD with their service center for a combined 20+ hours in addition to the 10+ hours I've spent trying to resolve these issues. Just today alone, (4/6/2022) I have spent a combined 5 hours and 11 minutes on the phone and on hold trying to STILL resolve an issue from over 2 weeks ago. I know MACU doesn't really care about this complaint anyways and will push it off like they've done my phone calls the last 2 weeks, but something needs to be done so this doesn't happen to another person. If I were paid my hourly rate for the amount of time I've sat on the phone with MACU, I wouldn't even be worried about this check.

      Mountain America miscategorized a balance transfer as a cash advance in early 2020. While the mistake occurred then, they've been charging an exorbitant interest rate since then and as that has continued into this year. I've filed the complaint with the BBB.I called into Mountain America to address the issue and they showed they had calls around that time but couldn't find the actual information. Worse yet, in attempting to pay down the balance. Mountain America applies payments to purchases first, then balance transfers, and finally to cash advances ensuring they eke out every cent out of their customers instead of applying payments in a way that would best facilitate their customers financial outcomes.

      Mountain America credit union Location: ****************************************************************************** Teller: **** Time: 1:44pm 1/22/2022 I deposited a check from ***************** to my account in the amount of $8,746.77. I looked at my mobile account and it did not reflect account changing. I gave the teller the check and my debit card associated with my account. The account ends in xxx5765. On the receipt it says xxxxxx1418 One way up paint. It appears they deposited my check into someone elses account I would urgently like a call back to make this right!!

      About a month ago I contacted the loan **** and requested that my due date be changed from the 6th of the month to the 1st or 2nd of the month - the due date was never discussed with me and it presents an inconvenience. The woman I spoke with over the phone confirmed the change and I moved my **** record to reflect a withdraw on the 2nd of the month for the loan with MACU. When the 3rd of this month passed and I noticed the draft did not take place I attempted to contact and resolve this issue with the credit union - multiple times - via phone and social media. Eventually I received a call from someone from the call center who set up a return call from a manager in the loan **** to complete my request. Not only did this male call on 1/5/22 at 1:32pm during the middle of my workday but as I told him MULTIPLE TIMES that I could not discuss and had to end the call - the arrogant male refused to quiet himself LONG ENOUGH to understand that I had to hang up the phone. He was of zero use whatsoever. The social media team are still not handling the issue and I am still having to chase these people for a solution! I should not have to chase this horrific example of a failed service in the loan department just to get something simple done that I cannot change myself. If I could I would just avoid dealing with them altogether.

      I received a call today from someone at MACU.  I think I've asked THIS CREDIT UNION 50 TIMES TO SEND ME AN EMAIL BECAUSE I AM UNABLE TO JUST DROP WHAT I'M DOING DURING THE *** TO ANSWER THE PHONE.

      IS IT REALLY IMPOSSIBLE FOR THE CREDIT UNION TO COMMUNICATE WITH THEIR MEMBERS VIA EMAIL??? I MEAN - IT ALMOST FEELS LIKE THEY THINK ITS VIRAL TO SEND ME AN EMAIL SO THAT I CAN RESPOND TO THEM DURING THE *** INSTEAD OF CHASING A PHONE CALL.

       

      IT IS THE 21ST CENTURY - MY ADVICE TO MACU: JOIN THE 21ST CENTURY.  I NEED SOMEONE TO CONTACT ME VIA EMAIL..

      On November 15, 2021, I signed a consolidation loan with Mountain America Credit Union on ****************************************************** to consolidate my credit card bills. On November 15, 2021 Mountain America Credit Union wrote a Cashier's Check to pay off ***************** Store, with my full name on the check, but with the wrong credit card account number on it. ****** ********** cashed the cashier's check and credited the funds to a different account than mine. ****** will not own up to this, sometimes hanging up on us, but still demanding payments. But the biggest disappointment of all is Mountain America, who keeps putting the monkey on my back, stating I might have to take this to court to get it paid. I cannot pay this **** twice! I would like Mountain America to pay this again and let ****** pay them back. Also I'd like to get out of this loan and go to a credible bank. Thanks.

      We opened an account with MACU in 2017. We originally had to two car loans. This bank made us believe they were a good bank right away. So we set up an account for my minor children. When COVID hit we were struggling to get back on our feet. My husband wrecked his car. We have GAP insurance but they are refusing to pay. We explained this. They are now taking money out of my daughters account while she is living 2 states away because of their mistake. This is a joke.

      Last year I was diagnosed heart failure after covid testing and contacted **** as well as my other creditors to see what rights and options I had under the Cares act. i signed a loan modification that allowed my payment amounts to be modified and protect my credit during this huge life event. I made all payments per terms in full and on time until I received my SSDI approval then made the current payments per original loan terms and am currently doing so. I pulled my credit report to see score for baseline for HUD and other lenders lending rates. My credit score dropped over 200 points! I disputed all of the incorrect negative items on my report to include my 1st mortggage loan reporting as revolving and late. The **** incorrect reporting caused my credit to drop below standards for ************** closing my account as well as *********** Because accounts closed, I applied for loan one with ******** financial and denied line of credit with them as well. I contacted **** to have fixed directly and apply for home equity refi was told nothing they could do and to just dispute, I advised already have told to wait it out. I have started another home equity refi and requested it as a no credit, no cost before my next credit report date so I can pay closed account and restore my once excellent credit score.

      **************** is completely horrendous!!! I would HIGHLY recommend going somewhere else!! Here is why!!1. As of late, when you call they act like they are being bothered! 2. On a work trip to **********, when I went to get gas, not only did they decline each transactions, but they SHUT OFF the card completely (WITH ZERO NOTICE) that had (BUSINESS) automatic payments set up that ALL got declined!!! Causing a major embarrassment with vendors, and a major issue that will take days to resolve!!! 3. NO PHONE Number on the card you can call??4. When I called, the AUTO Attendant kept saying card not recognized & would not transfer me!! Finally on hold for over 30 minutes for an issue they caused for NO REASON!!5. I applied for 1st Draw PPP last year, and they waited for weeks and then said too late!6. I applied and received 2nd draw PPP, when I re-applied for 1st draw, sent me an email that I must wait 2 wks! When I applied in 2 wks, they said it was too late!?!? HORRIBLE COMPANY!!!
