    I recently filed complaint #******** against Kornerstone credit for violation of our contract agreement. I though this issue was settles on 8/21/2023. At that time I agreed to keep the merchandise I purchased through Kornerstone and at that time I made 1 payment for $114.39. During that call I noticed on my online account that there was a payment of $****** coming due on 8/22 and I specifically asked on a recorded line if that additional payment would be taken. The supervisor ****** assured me on the recording that the payment would be adjusted and that the ****** would not be taken. On 8/24 a payment of $****** was withdrawn from my account without my knowledge or consent. I immediately called the company to have this matter resolved. I asked for the supervisor ****** and was told he was not in. The agent tried to explain to me some nonsense about how their system works completely ignoring our contractual agreement. I was then put on an extended hold in excess of 40 minutes while the representative attempted to get a supervisor. The supervisor again attempted to explain how their computer system worked and I again asserted both my contract agreement with Kornerstone as well as the agreement made in the call on 8/21 by ****** not to take any additional payments. At this point I no longer wish to do business with Kornerstone Credit as they have violated the terms of our contract agreement and federal law. And while in violating our contract I have no legal responsibility to return the merchandise, I would also like for Kornerstone to make arrangements for the return of the merchandise immediately and the refund of the $****** they stole from my bank account!

    Purchased furniture from *****'s Furniture using Kornerstone Credit. Payments were made on time via automatic draft. I attempted to log on to my account and each time the screen showed "user not found." When I requested a password reset I received no emails. I attempted everyday to contact Kornerstone to update my account (have phone records). Each time I was placed on expended holds by the automated system and ultimately told they'd hold my place and call me back. I never received call backs. While this was going on Kornerstone continued to attempt ACH payments from my closed account. Each time the item was declined, Kornerstone added a fee to my balance. Got through on August 9, 2023. At that time I was told that the balance owed was $523 including $123 in fees. They stated that they had been trying to call and email, however their own representative entered my email and phone number incorrectly in their system. I told the agent that I would not be paying fees because the company had no way of being reached to update my information and that I believed they were acting in bad faith. They agreed to waive the fees. I specifically told them I would be willing to pay only the rental fees to the data of cancellation. The contract states that I could cancel within 4 months of purchase. I was told someone would call me back and arrange the return from the return. The next day I received a call stating that I could not return the furniture unless I paid $983. I asked for an itemized summary and was refused. The agent read paragraph 7 to me which is ****** ambiguous stating I need to "follow their steps." *********** is in breech of contract as they have never sent me a copy of the original contract, the company deliberately locked me out of my account so I cannot access it, make payments, or review the original contract with my signature. They are not refusing to pick up the furniture and attempting to force me to make payment under the treat of ruining my credit.

    I am rejecting this response because:
    Kornerstone has reached out via text (unable to reply) and phone during my working hours.  I experienced long wait times upon returning their call each time (have phone records). I also requested an itemized bill on 8/9/2023 which I have not received. I have sent a certified letter to Kornerstone requesting an itemized statement of amount owed up to the date of cancellation as well as a copy of my original contract, which I never received. The letter also asserts that my request to return the merchandise was refused in violation of section 7 of my contract (they read to me over the phone).

    I am writing to file a formal complaint against Kornerstone Credit regarding their unethical business practices and lack of transparency in their rental furniture program. I believe that their actions not only deceive customers but also exploit those who may be experiencing financial hardship due to unexpected life events.First and foremost, my complaint is centered around the company's failure to disclose the true extent of the interest charges associated with their rental furniture program. Upon entering into an agreement with Kornerstone Credit, I was not informed about the exorbitant interest fees that would be incurred if the furniture was not paid off within 90 days. It was only after carefully examining the terms and conditions that I discovered they would charge me four times the original product cost. Such practices are highly deceptive and unfair to consumers who are unaware of the hidden financial burden they will face.Furthermore, I am deeply concerned about the company's lack of assistance or viable options for individuals facing financial hardships due to unforeseen life events. In times of economic crisis, job loss, or personal emergencies, it is essential for businesses to show empathy and provide support to their customers. Unfortunately, when I approached Kornerstone Credit to discuss my financial situation and explore possible alternatives, I was met with indifference and a complete lack of willingness to accommodate my needs. This disregard for customer well-being is disheartening and further reinforces my belief that Kornerstone Credit is engaging in exploitative practices.

    Please take my account to a zero balance. The company agreed that if I donated the furniture they would clear my account. This has caused a negative impact on my credit.

    Kornerstone assisted ****************** with his return request on 10/12/2021 due to reduced hours at his employment. He was informed by our returns department by phone and by email of the process to return his merchandise with a detailed returned receipt on or before 10/26/2021.
     
    On 10/26/2021, ****************** called to inform ** that he would no longer be returning the merchandise and requested to continue with his payment schedule for his lease. He was advised of his next scheduled payment on 10/28/2021. This payment was not successful, though his 11/5/2021 payment successfully cleared his account.

    We were unsuccessful in reaching ****************** and then received an email from him on 12/17/2021 stating that he returned the merchandise. We replied to ******************** email reminding him that he elected not to return his merchandise and had informed us that he would continue making his payments. We also informed him that he is responsible for making his payments until we receive a detailed return receipt through our returns process. 

    We were unsuccessful in making any further contact with ****************** after 12/17/2021 and his lease was sent to a 3rd party collection agency on 6/17/2022 due to non-payment. ****************** will need to work with Security Credit Services to resolve his lease. They can be contacted by phone at ************** or by mail at ***************************************************************

    I am rejecting this response because: The third party company refused to pickup the merchandise they said I had to bring it back. If they company reviews calls they will see that they told me to donate the furniture because of my hardship that furniture was donated to as requested. I am requesting this company clear out my balance and alert all collections agencys.

    We bought a living room suit on 90 days same as cash in beginning of December which should have been paid off in February. I just noticed they were still taking out the payment two months later. We called and they stated we agreed to a 12 month plan and that was absolutely not the case. The furniture was **** by the time we will have it paid off its going to cost us 7000-8000, there is absolutely NO way my husband and I would have agreed to this.The manager is supposed to contact my husband today sometime but we have yet to hear anything. This is absolutely ridiculous. Since then we have had several financial hardships and can not afford to continue paying for this. At this point we have already paid 600$ over the price of the furniture.

    This was resolved and I still had to pay ****** additional dollars which is very hard to do. I begged that they not charge me any additional money but kornerstone said they had to charge me this to get out of this contract. ****** learned never user ****************** again. So all in all my ******* furniture turned into 3****** furniture.

    Went to purchase a vehicle today. Was approved *** 700 credit score. However once the credit was fully pulled the *** caused the payment and interest rate to increase significantly. Found out the creditor- Kornerstone - was reporting a 440k loan w/a $12k a month payment. (My loan is 6k with 4k still outstanding $500 a month payment.) The credit report shows the 440k loan reported on 1/23/23. I called Kornerstone and they said there was a glitch in their system and should be updated by March 7th. This inaccurate reporting caused my credit score to drop significantly. Also, my credit score will drop significantly from the credit pulls today and unfortunately for no reason. I did not purchase the vehicle due to such an increase in payment/rate. Additionally, I lost income from spending the day at the dealership with them trying to figure out what was going on and what they could do. This is not okay. I have a phone apt a an attorney tomorrow.

    So i purchased a 7 piece table set in a furniture store i had agreed to have an amount withdraw from my account before 3 months i gave 500$ down on this product and payments would pay off before 3 months thats what was explaind to me there is an electronic signature under my name saying that i agree to pay nearly double the amount when this product was being payed off by payments every week i accually called kornerstone to see if why i was still being charged after 3 months i called them 2 weeks in after getting this item to pay it off i was put on hold for ever its like there not looking forward ppl wanting to pay off lease they say there was a 12 month lease 2 days prior of this complaint wich i had no consent over they send out every week txt of payment but they wont send any other info table cost 1250$ after 23 payments of 58.14$ i still owe 1660$ where in anyones mind is that possible late charges or fees even intrest is not compatable very dissapointing!

    This is a predatory lender that does not let you know when your contract is expiring. A simple oversight of a missed expiration date will now cost considerably more than the purchase amount. Their offer was a 41% off current contract which would still cost me over $1000 more than what I paid for the merchandise. At this point I have paid them $1649 and they want an additional $3100 to be paid. Now I could understand if my purchase price was $4000, but it was not. My purchase price was $2300, that is more than double what the purchase price was. I spent ****************************************************************************** paying $700 over the merchandising price which again is way too much for a 5 month contract. My biggest complaint again is them not telling me when it was expiring. They had my email and texted me bi-weekly when payments would come out. Why can they not text when the contract was coming up? I would appreciate a partial refund that would be equal to a more reasonable charge for a 5 month contract.

    I'm not sure who this company is, but I've disputed charges from them on my credit a few times now. My wallet was stolen from work some years back and once I found out my information was being used because I ended up with several fraudulent charges, I made a police report and just been adding the alert to my credit report every year since then so that my information couldn't be used without me being made aware again. I did not make this transaction. I would just like it removed from my credit. Thanks

    I purchased furnitures from a store named: *************** Home Decor located at ***************************************************************** on December 16, 2019. I put some cash down and promised to pay the remaining amount within *************************** any additional fees. On 3/14/2020, I mad a payment for the outstanding amount which was $513.85. Shortly after I paid the amount, I saw another charge of $100 with details as fees, I tried to pay it since I did not k now what it was, but their system declined payment with a notification that I cannot pay more that what I owed to them. I tried for multiple occasions, but they online system did not let me make that payment. The next day, I opened the account again, and saw a balance of $100 plus interest and fees for the total of $106.75, when I tried to paid it, the online payment system notified me that I cannot pay and payment cannot exceed $0.00.I called the company the next day and they promised to verify what it was. Finally they called and said I have to pay another $1000 and said the reason for that is sometimes they tried to debit my account and there were no money and they charged fees of $100.I told them how I tried all my best to pay all, but their system declined, but they insisted that I have to pay $1000. I have taken screens screenshots of all the payments I made to them including the message I got on their system when trying to pay the $106.75 even if I did not know why I was paying at the time. Due to limited English, the a company called me with threats that they were taking me to court if I do make payment of $1900, I provided them with my credit card information without knowing it was this company cheating on me again. It wasn't until I asked my husband to explain to me what was happening when I realized it was this company taking over $200 from my account. I am asking this business to clear may name and remove any outstanding debt they have been sending to collection agencies because I paid all.Thank you,
