    I hired Trevor to relevel and replace a small section of a concrete walkway in front of my house. I gave him $195 as a deposit. When he arrived on June 21st to start working, I realized he was lacking experience and was not qualified to do the job since he didn't have sufficient tools and materials. He didn't have any demolition tools besides some drill bits, chisels, a hammer, and a pickaxe. He also brought some thin pieces of wood to use as forms for the new concrete instead of proper forms such as 2x4s. He also only brought two bags of concrete for a slab that would require at least 15 bags. After discovering how he was going to do the project, it became obvious he did not know what he was doing. I told him I was going to put the project on hold and would like to receive my deposit back. He told me he would have to pay me back later because he had to use the money to fix his truck which was being repaired the same day. I've texted him several times since then asking when he'll be able to return the money. He has replied a few times telling me that he'll pay me back later after he's gotten paid for doing another job. However, he is now no longer responding to my text messages. I have also tried to call him without success. I gave the deposit to him via Venmo and would like to have the money returned to me since the job was not performed.
