  My nephew was getting married in *********, all of my family decided to go to support. I made reservations for my sister and I. She gave me the money for the hotel, I was to cover the rental. I worked in reservations for ******* so I know the business. On September 7th I made a reservation through vacation.com it was a busy weekend they're advertising 99$ but because of the rodeo in town the rates were increased. I found 2 nights plus a timeshare presentation for 411. I booked the reservation the entire time No one told me the reservation was p***aid non-refundable. Otherwise I would not have booked the reservation. I was told I had 48hrs prior to doa to cancel w/o penalty. Shortly after I'm a breast cancer survivor and my breast was oozing out blood. I went straight to the doctor, the doctor ordered several tests and they came back I have a cyst and a Staph infection. I could not travel, my sisters understood. I contacted vacation.com to cancel and get a refund. When I cancelled 11 days before my arrival date. The *** who cancel told me to hold on so she could verify I was not within cancellation. She came and said I'm good I'll get my refund within 5 days. I checked my account everyday and no credit. On Friday the 11th I called to verify refund date. I got a rude person name ***** she told me I would not get a refund just a voucher to return in a year. I told her that I was Not informed of that. She said well it's not my fault you don't read your email. She said we're not giving you a refund nor any of the hurricane victims. I thought she was so insensitive. So basically what happened is they quote lies over the phone to get people to book w/o saying it's p***aid non-refundable. Otherwise people would not book, they sent it in the email. My emails been hacked so I had it forwarded to my sister who's disabled. If you have a policy it should be quoted at the time of booking not sent by email. I told her what the other *** said and she said oh she didn't know. *****

  Basically I'd just want to say that being an older woman life is very sad. This is one of the reasons our world is in the state that it's in. Someone takes your money you get sick and cancel which is out of your control. They Never disclose prepaid non-refundable. Something I know is a priority, I worked ******* in that field. Yell at you disrespect you and hang up in your face. And tell you we are going to keep almost 500$ of your money and you have a year to come back. I room that they resold for a higher price. When I called they were reporting sold out. And I go to someone higher than me, who supposed to have the power. And almost 2 months later you say I can't reach them. If there is no restitution for being taken advantage of what do we have left. Smh, yes you can try one more time
