Called Anderson Orthopaedic clinic for a consultation about an already diagnosed fracture. I email the surgical coordinator and specifically asked her about a consultation to verify whether surgery was needed or not for a Humerus neck fracture. We brought Xrays and Radiology and MD report of the fracture. Had an arm sling provided by the 1st Doctor. At the appointment was told it was $100 fee, then they told me we needed to pay for additional Xrays even though we provided the Xrays disc. We paid a total of $300 for everything on Dec 14, 2022. Dr saw the injury for 15mins, no treatment, no therapy, no medicine, no arm sling. On Jan 6th, received a bill for $2058 with *** *****. I called billing and asked what they were charging for? Billing referred to the office. I told them to explain the charge, they could not. Admin told us, via voice mail, it was an error because we specifically said in the form we will be paying out of pocket with no insurance. We have been calling since Jan thru April for a resolution. Under the no surprise act, never gave us a good faith estimate. Called and email to have it fix to no avail. Emailed to surgical coordinator and never responded. Received additional billings and now a collection agency bill. This clinic is trying to take advantage of 90 yrs old ******** lady with no source of income by not disclosing their fees well ahead of the appointment and not cooperating to find a resolution for their lack of good faith estimate. We have all the proof of unethical practice and borderline abuse by not being transparent in their administrative practices. Invoice need to be cancelled. Filed complaint with No Surprise act ********. We will pursue legal if not resolved.
