      Do NOT purchase this product! I purchased this and put it on my computer and when my computer crashed, I asked them to help me as my code no longer worked. They literally told me that I would have to purchase another as my email was not attached to the code being entered! I am 60 years of age, and have had the exact same email for over 30 years!I still have the CD's and the actual code, but they stated that "they have everything online now, and don't work with any CD subscriptions any longer" They didn't say that this would ever happen, when I purchased the package initially. After coming to BBB, I saw this is a normal process for them, as many others have needed help, and they were given the same information. Do not purchase this product!

      Buyer Beware! "Lifetime" products are false advertising. Quote from Rosetta Stone customer service, "'Lifetime' product means you can access the Rosetta Stone language product and services that you purchased, for as long as theyre available and supported by us. This is for the Lifetime of the product itself."I purchased a "Lifetime" Spanish Language program in 2015. When I switched computers I could no longer access my program because the Rosetta Stone software updated and no longer supports my "Lifetime" program.

      I purchased a three month class for 45.00. I was not given a way to access Rosa Stone or a way to make a password. Every time I try to get back on the program that I paid for I just get a spinning wheel. The program did not fit my computer window and I was unable to make it larger. The print and the pictures were blurry. Very difficult to learn a language with Rosetta Stone. I think I have been scammed.

      Absolute fraud. The company is being left in the dirt by newer programs that don't charge astronomical fees, so they are making up for it by recharging existing customers to access the products thayt they already sold them. The updates have not made the software better. It is a shameless ruse. How are they getting away with this?

      Same issue here. I purchased the instant download in 2014 that suddenly, without any warning, no longer works. When I contacted customer support, I was told that I would be able to purchase another lifetime program for $179. My bill would be sent to their accounting department and then I would receive a discount. The final cost would be $79. Which would be great if I hadn’t already purchased the initial lifetime program! Very dissatisfied and disappointed.

      I purchased a Lifetime online subscription. When attempting to log in a few years latter, the Rosetta Stone website would not allow me to access what I had paid for. After calling Carlos at customer service, he is claiming that I actually purchased a downloaded version (which is not true as I NEVER downloaded any software other than the web app) and that the down loaded software is no longer supported. When I informed him that I never downloaded any software and I accessed their app exclusively online via tablet, phone, and PC he stated that this was only a temporary access. Carlos did not offer any solution. I have been miss lead. As I am sure that many others have been as well. Sounds like a class action... Rosetta Stone customer case number 08855723

      Zero stars I bought a lifetime package. The company now states they changed their platform so my lifetime package is worthless. You have to buy a New lifetime package. Scam Fraud False advertising Buyer beware They need to be held accountable

      1. Back in 2017 I contacted their support team over their online chat about buying their product as I noticed it was cheaper on Amazon (Being sold from Rosetta Stone and not a 3rd party). They kept lying saying that that was an older version and you had to buy the new one off their site. They were both V4. It's in Amazons contract that the sellers can't sell their products for lower prices than what they offer on Amazon and I called them out on it. How did they reply? They blocked my IP address so I couldn't use their online chat anymore. Worked fine on my laptop and phone which they ended up blocking ass well when complained about them doing that. 2. Ended up buying it from Amazon... sure enough it was the same version and I was heavily disappointed. $100 (Japanese was cheaper because they only had 3 levels) $100 for 3 CD's and the world cheapest ear phones that had worse quailty than a McDonald's toy they were completely useless. 3. Used the software... it's okay... 4. Years down the road I bought Spanish 5 levels back in late 2018.... turns out that they ran on adobe flashplayer even after adobe announced that they will be discontinuing flashplayer Rosetta Stone was still selling products that used it! Sure enough Rosetta Stone discontinued support for their CD programs and now I am stuck with $400 worth of software that I could never use. Contacted their support and they want me to pay $170+plus tax to upgrade and say that is the best they can do and I can get a 3 day free trial. Funny. They bought Live Mocha a few years back for 9.3 Million dollars just to shut down their website. (I see that it has been reactive finally after they discounted their CD support.) And they spend millions on marketing campaigns but will not compensate their customers!!!! Rosetta Stone and their parent company IXL Learning are the worst companies that I have ever debt with.

      I would like to echo the complaint of other people regarding not being able to use a costly version of Rosetta Stone. The explanation of the company does not make sense. They refused even to provide me an activation key, so the CD product that cost me over $500 is useless and inactivated and the company refused to give an alternative method to learn. This is a case of dismissing the request for an older generation to learn and this company should revise their practice. I did not receive a notice that the product is going to be discontinued or replaced. How would I know? I am giving a star but in fact this company deserves 0 or minus star.
