    ***Re-Posted Since My Original Review Disappeared*** Bottom Line Up Front: DO NOT HIRE unless you insist on an in-person consultation AND receive a "not to exceed" estimate on your contract. Even then, I'd suggest looking elsewhere. Otherwise, you will pay way more than you expect, and then the company will either offer an insulting settlement to try and make you go away or ignore you entirely. My experience was similar to other 1-star reviews I read. Was offered a quote of $4100-$4300 after receiving a virtual estimate. After the final billing the total cost of the move came to just under $6500, about 50% more than what was quoted. True to the owner's MANY responses to complaints in other reviews, their quote is "non-binding". However, when I called the next day to simply ask about the charges, the rep we dealt with said she thought the costs were high and was looking into it. From her own words, she told me the cost shouldn't exceed the estimate by more than 10-15% and that she was working with the owner to "make it right". The rep and I spoke three times over a two-week period to keep communication open. During one of those calls, she informed me they'd already decided to refund $706 in materials costs (which she later denied saying), so remaining settlement would be in addition to that. Then came the final settlement offer...$362 along with a letter I would have to sign promising to remove any negative social media posts. When I contacted the rep and asked if this was a mistake, I was told that was all she was able to get the owner to agree to. This was after the rep had spent the prior two weeks leading me to believe something different. No basis for that $362 amount was given as far as I could tell, almost as if it was pulled out of the air. I'm sorry I ever did business with this company. PLEASE do yourself a favor and look to a stronger brand that will be transparent AND straightforward with you. That didn't happen for me.

The owner - Eric Wilmot - replied to my counter simply stating that the settlement offer was within terms of their contract and non-negotiable. Other recent reviews for the same situation show a recent pattern - the owner responds and states estimates are "non-binding" and then proceeds to blame the customer.

    This company was awesome. Very professional. Took such care to prepare and package the furniture. So respectful. Very quiet. Would definitely recommend for any moving.

    We used HuberWilmot Moving for our office and home move. They were reliable, on time, efficient and economical and we've moved a lot! We had extremely large, heavy items and everything was taken care of ! Highly recommend HuberWilmot Moving!

    Amazing company. This is the only way to go if you have a move coming up. They are skilled like the bigger companies, and personal like a "mom and pop" size family business. They treat each customer like they are the only customer, and they make themselves available to answer any questions or concerns that arise before, during, and or after the move. They helped me stay calm and comfortable trusting them to move my things with care. Two thumbs up from me!

    This company was by far the most professional moving company I have worked with. My move was difficult and there were a lot of moving parts for the movers to manage, and they did everything according to the plan Renee and I reviewed prior to my moving date. I would love for some of the people who feel it is reasonable to complain about the movers pace, to attempt to do this type of work. I'd bet they would find some appreciation for how hard this work actually is before their first hour was up! The men and women on my move worked hard and with a consistent effort for the entire 9 hour day. The pace the movers worked was very reasonable for completing the job in a timely manner, as well ensuring that my items were not damaged at any point in the packing, shipping, and/or unpacking process. This company is amazing and 5 stars aren't enough! I highly recommend this company to any reasonable human in need of packing, moving, storage or other related services.

    I have had numerous full service moves but this was my first with Huber Wilmot. I was smart enough to get a not to exceed rate which came in handy because at some point the movers were working EXTREMELY slow. Packing was done one day and actual moving on the following day. There were 5-6 movers on the crew and it took them from 9am-7:45pm to move a 3 bedroom. Additionally, there were SIGNIFICANT language barriers with the crew which was very unhelpful. Although Huber Wilmot packed and labeled all my boxes they did not deliver them to the right rooms in my home and now I have to take boxes up and down stairs to get them to the right areas in my home, which is a service I paid them for. Lastly, my new couch was damaged by the movers. I called several days ago to speak to a manager/owner about my experience, left a message and have not received any call back. Needless to say, for the amount that I spent (over $4K) I would never use again or recommend them. Take that same money and use JK, Atlas or someone similar in national reputation.

    Hey Ayesha, Thanks for the review. Your moving fee was fixed, for your convenience, and we were transparent both verbally and in writing that it would be long day. You had a 400 foot walk from your high-rise elevator dock to your three bedroom apartment and a second stop at a public storage facility for pick. Any service provider would take this amount of time to load your belongings. Regarding your comment about boxes in the wrong area at delivery. You signed a Delivery Acknowledgement stating everything arrived and was done to your satisfaction. Regarding your damaged sofa, or office called and emailed you this morning. The information on how to file a claim was shared in the email. This information can also be found on the Original Agreement you signed. You sent your email notifying us of the damages, Saturday evening. We are closed Sunday. So yes, there was a delay in getting this process to you because of those factors. Regarding you comment about the amount you spent -- This amount is exactly the amount agreed to. We appreciate you allowing us to serve you. Enjoy you new home. HuberWilmot Moving and Storage

    I would highly suggest to stay away and pick a different company if you value your time, money, and mental health. Their practices are unprofessional and scamming to say the least. When I was shopping around and got in touch with the sales representative I was given specific dates for pickup and delivery for an interstate move. I was constantly being reassured and guaranteed that. I decided to go with this company and pay $1,000 more than another company that gave me a larger window for delivery. LESS THAN 24 HOURS before pickup, I get a call saying that they can pickup at the date we agreed but can't deliver on the date we agreed at this price because "another customer cancelled on them". I highly doubt that would coincidentally happen less than 24 hours before my move. I either had to wait a few weeks or pay an extra $2,000 to get my stuff on the agreed date. Of course this was planned by them, to not 1) give me time to cancel and find a different company (my lease was ending the next day), and 2) never mentioned the possibility of this happening because I would have chosen the other company I was talking to, that was honest to me and ended losing the job. I ended up paying $3,000 more than I could have. Needless to say I would never choose them again.

    One star is pushing it for me! I am so disheartened, frustrated and disappointed with this company. Initially they came in and did a fantastic job with packing up my household furniture back in June of 2020. 3 ladies fantastic The next day it had to have been about 7 guys who came in and loaded up. Well, fast forward to June 2022. What a disaster. 3 men and a truck, first piece of furniture off the truck (desk) broken. Mind you I was impressed because they wrap your furniture. Obviously not good enough or was it the way it was put back on the truck? No one can tell me. As I'm unpacking my boxes, discovering broken dishes. Missing items galore. Just about done unpacking and still I cant find even a small trash can. Not to mention my Simplehuman $149.00 kitchen trashcan was dented. How did this happen. It was brand new. My list is growing daily, a 5ft silver paint splattered ladder is missing. Help me understand, if you haul away a person's belongings and you store them, don't you put them in the same space? What was the orange stickers for? I have the inventoried list of items and they were listed, but the items did not make it to my house. On top of all that, I decided to pay using a different card - charged twice! Needless to say got that straight very quickly. I thank Bethaney Vivian for her swift attention to that. So now, I've been directed to their claims agency (different animal altogether). Claim submitted but turnaround is 70 to 90 days. I don't know whether to laugh or cry on that one. Meantime, I have to ask myself was spending six figures, yes six huge figures worth it? To be honest, the way I'm feeling still today.......I dont know, but if I can save someone else the trouble, its worth a shot.

There was an error made on our end, to which card you intended to pay for your services on, It was entered twice with no malice intent. Nevertheless, it was resolved immediatley. Our policy for damaged / lost items is clear, transparent and confirmed in writing with all our clients at the time of booking. It allows each client to decide upon what level of liability they opt to pursue with their possessions. Like all movers, we offer limited liablity. Other options were made available to you pursuant to the moving contract.
