  If I could give 0 stars I would. Kristian honeymooned us with great renderings, a solid quote, spoke the construction language, and told us it would be a 6 week project. It turned into 7 months for a simple bathroom remodel. She never paid her subs, which slowed the work down and the subs were coming to us asking if we had paid her. She hired subpar plumbers and tilers. The entire plumbing set up had to be redone after we pushed her that the water coming out of the ceiling wasn't normal. She even lied to us about the shower glass install about it being ordered. I found the company, called the owner and he told me she never ordered it because she couldn't pay half up front. She did not communicate and it would be days and weeks sometimes before response. At the end of it all, we ending up spending another ****** to fix tile that was done so poorly. I echo other reviews - pay the GC with with higher quote. Pay the GC who communicates. Pay the GC what they're worth. Save yourself the headache and buyer's remorse.

  We have only completed one project with this contractor, we had supplied a garage door operator for her at one of her projects. We completed the installation in August, but payment is still due, and she hangs up when we try to call to collect. I would not trust this contractor to pay you for your services, and by reading the other reviews, I wouldn't assume that I would hire them for any services.

  Coastal VA Construction LLC, also working under the name JFLP Ventures LLC, is the WORST remodel experience of my entire life! I hired them to completely remodel my kitchen and master bathroom along with several other upgrades in a neglected OBX beach house. Nearly two years later and I am still fixing the mess left behind by Kristian and her subcontractor. I have not been able to shower in my master bath since mid-July 2022 because it leaks to the room below. I've had to hire contractors to complete or replace work I paid her for. They fought in my home, were unreliable, brought their children who disrespected my space and stole my personal property, including the diamond ring from my deceased husband and my grandmother's ring. I gave her many opportunities and 1.5 years to make it right, make payments, fix my shower, but all I received were a splattering of Venmo payments and empty promises. A civil case could cost me thousands more and I still would not be able to shower in my bathroom. Kristian has poor work ethic, cuts corners, and does not oversee her sub-contractors. I allowed the subcontractor to stay in my OBX home for 30 days for FREE only to discover he had a felony record and spent 9 years in prison and brought a day-worker into my home to help with the demo, introducing him as his friend. If you value your home, your property and need a good contractor DO NOT CHOOSE THIS ONE.

  Don't walk but RUN from Coastal VA Construction LLC. Kristian simply sub contracts different people and companies out to do the job. Our project turned into an absolute nightmare. Go with the higher quote and save yourself the stress of an unorganized, lazy, dishonest, careless and shady business. Use an established reliable company, spend the extra money!
