    I made an online purchase, 11/4/24, from Rustic Tuesday’s website, & bought 2 side tables. I paid for the tables and shipping as advertised using ***** ***. This business cancelled my order and sent an email that says: “Your order has been canceled. Order ******** was canceled because we did not have enough stock to fulfill your order and your payment has been voided”. However I went back online later that same day and the end tables are still showing as in stock and available to purchase, just at a much higher price. Not only is this false advertising, this is outright dishonesty and lying to customers. I want this company to deliver the item at my original purchase price. If *** cannot resolve, I will file a federal complaint with *** for fraudulent, deceptive & unfair online business practices. I have an email from the business and screen shots confirming the original purchase price vs the new listed price.

    Dear *** Representative,

    Thank you for the opportunity to respond to this customer’s concern. At Rustic Tuesday, we are committed to honest and transparent business practices, and we appreciate the chance to clarify this situation.

    On November 4, 2024, this customer placed an order for a “Set of Two Round Wooden Side Tables with Turned Legs” that was mistakenly listed at $***** with a ****** shipping fee, instead of the correct price of ******* with a ****** shipping fee. This was an unintended technical error, and we took immediate action to address it by canceling the order and informing the customer that we were unable to fulfill it due to insufficient inventory available at the price listed at that time. The customer’s card was never charged for this order. After canceling the order, we promptly corrected the pricing error on our website to reflect the actual price and to prevent any similar situations from occurring, again, in the future. 

    We understand that the original price was significantly lower than typical market rates for similar items, and we believe this discrepancy would have been reasonably apparent as a pricing error. Per your correspondence, the customer later noticed the corrected listing and interpreted this as misleading. However, as noted above, these measures were taken on our end to prevent this from happening to another customer. In addition, as a small business, our supplier contracts restrict us from fulfilling orders at unintended, highly reduced prices, and we are unable to complete orders that result from clear pricing errors. 

    While we regret any frustration this may have caused, we hope this clarifies that our actions were taken promptly and in good faith to correct an honest mistake. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding as we work to clarify our position.

    Additional photo attached shows proof Rustic Tuesday charged me, then afterwards they issued a refund. Their response to the complaint claims they never charged me, yet again they were untruthful as this clearly shows I was charged, then refunded.
