    My sons truck was with them for about 6 weeks. I kept asking for updates on bill… never got a response. Eventually its ready for pick up, $2,654! More than the value of the vehicle (1969 ford f250). He said he guaranteed his work. The truck ran twice. What work was actuslly don't i font know, the receipt cannot be read, nothing is itemized… they just made up a number. A big number. It ran twice, he took it back for twenty days, it ran once! And the truck is broke down at the side of a public road. It wont turn over more tgan 10 seconds before fully charged battery is depleted… the battery is too small. (For starters) they used the cheapest parts they could find. We are looking for a new mechanic now to fix the work they did. The truck is really a total loss after throwing away that amount of money to drive it twice. I am considering court, for costs to repair their work… and to even provide s legible receipt that itemizes the work they claim to have done .

We would love to get it back and see what’s going on with it at no cost to you and go over what we have done with you personally and we can go over your receipt with you there are things we did not know were wrong with your vehicle prior to getting the engine running, and as parts I don’t use cheap parts Everything has a warranty on it.     I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.   I am looking for itemized, legible, receipt. Everything that was done, what each part cost, standard business practices. The vehicle should start. Should run. It doesn’t. It “will” not start with the undersized battery (the cheapest and smallest on the  market). Full size, older vehicle, requires a full size battery with adequate cranking amps and reserve capacity. I have returned the vehicle once already… at some point i am wasting my time, in addition to wasting my money. I asked for updates on cost as we went along and never got an update until i was given an enormous bill. (I could have lived with the bill if the vehicle was remotely safe to drive. It has a new carburetor, starter? Timing? Ignition? Distributor cap? It should start, it should run..  Multiple times the vehicle has broken down in dangerous locations, including a busy rail line!  An itemized receipt could be posted right here. The vehicle should run and a/or replacement offered while it sits in a shop another month? “Just drive your bug” nope… for $2654 i should be able to safely drive my truck.  Regards, ****** *****

    You can come by the shop and pick up another copy of the receipt. You signed a copy of the receipt with the itemized costs. The truck was driven without antifreeze and it overheated.  We told you when the truck was towed in and wasn't running, the distributed on it was wrong, the carbureator was wrong and was leaking fuel out of it.  The carbureator was for a different vehicle, it came off a Jeep.   We replaced the ignition coil it had a weak spark, we put in new spark plugs and starter because it would not engage properly.   The distributor did fail, we replaced under warranty.

    I took my vehicle to Ashton’s place for a new motor. My biggest concern at this point is that someone within his company lost my spare key immediately after driving away to tow my vehicle to their shop. I was promised money back or a replacement and this has been said multiple times but nothing came of it. I would like compensation for my key even though I’m quite worried where it is.

    We replaced her engine almost 2 years ago.  We did missplace her key and we told her to bring the car back so that we could get a key made at ******.  She has never been back.  We are still willing to get her a spare key, she has bring the car back.

    SEPTEMBER 25 2023 MY CAR WAS TOWED TO ASHTONS PLACE TO FIND OUT WHY HE KEPT CUTTING OFF 2015 KIA FORTE LX MR ASHTON CALLED BACK SAYING 2 GALLONS OF WATER WAS PUT INTO GAS TANK MY CAR WAS VANDILIZE I DO HAVE POLICE REPORT HE NOTIFIED ME THE COST FOR EVERYTHING TO FIX WOULD BE 1123.00 I NOTIFIED MR ASHTON I ALREADY PUT 2 COIL PACKS IN I ALREADY GOT 2 ON ITS WAY DO NOT MESS WITH THOSE OR THE PLUGS I JUST CHANGED THOSE I SAID TO DO THE MINIUM THE 26 OF SEPTEMBER 2023 MR ASHTON CALL SAID THE CAR WAS FIXED I PUT 2 COIL PACKS IN I TOLD HIM I DID NOT WANT YOU DOING THAT I ALSO I ASKED FOR THE BILL AND PUT ON THE BILL THAT 2 GALLONS WATER WAS IN MY GAS TANK PUT BILL IN THE CAR MR ASHTON NEVER DID HE DID NOT REPLACE ALL THE INJECTERS LIKE HE SAID HE DID AND MR ASTON SAID HIS SELF WITH MY WITTNESS STANDING THERE HE PAID 600 FOR INJECTORS I CHECKED THROUGH **** ******** ******* **** ******* THE HIGHEST THEY ARE EVEN THROUGH KIA 249.00 DOLLARS MR ASHTON WAS CAUGHT HE THOUGHT HE PULL ONE OVER ON ME DOING WORK I TOLD HIM NOT TO DO THE COIL PACKS THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE COIL PACKS IN THERE I TESTED THEM I TOLD HIM THIS ALSO CYLYNDER 3 IS SHOWING ON EVEN BALANCE WHICH WILL SHOW HE DID NOT CHANGE ALL THE INJECTORS I NEVER GOT ANYTHING SHOWING WHAT WORK MR ASHTON DID I HAVE THE TEXT MESSAGES TO SHOW I CONTACTED MR ASHTON ABOUT WANTING THE BILL AND SHOWING HE SAID TO REPLACE EVERYTHING IT BE 1123.00 AFTER I TOLD HIM KNOW THE MINIUM SO WHY WOULD IT BE 1123.00 CHARGED WITH NO PROOF OF THE WORK HE DID HE OVER CHARGED ME 483.00 DOLLARS FOR WORK I TOLD HIM NOT DO DO BUT HE DID IT WITHOUGHT MY SAY SO TO DO IT ALSO MR ASHTON CHARGED A 30 DOLLAR PROCESSING FEE FOR ME USING MY DEBIT CARD I HAVE NEVER EVER HERD OF THAT WHEN I ASKED FOR PROOF FOR EVERYTHING MR ASHTON DID HE STOPED ANSWERING MY PHONE CALLS AND TEXTS EMAILS

    He left here happy and the vehicle running.   I only replaced 2 coil packs per his request, but I had suggested to replace all 4.  I drained the gas that did have water, cleaned the tank and put in fresh gas.  I did replace the 4 injectors.  I did exactly what I said I was going to do and replace.   The 3% charge for a debit or credit card payment is standard anymore.   I didn't charge him any storage fees and we went over the bill twice in person and several times over the phone.
