    ************** has been updated throughout the repair process including delays on parts.  Geico agreed to pay for a used (LKQ) grille for a replacement part for claim related damage.  We received 2 damaged used grilles, the last coming in on 9/1/2023. An email was sent to the Geico adjuster on 9/1/23 and she replied giving the ok to get an AM aftermarket grille at 1:54pm on 9/1/2023. The part had a  2 to 3 week arrival time, though not our obligation, we did indeed let the insurance company know of the delay.  The response from Geico was to order the next part that *** be sooner, but again it was for a LKQ part which caused a delay due to delivery time.  This part is readily available through other sources and could have been delivered much sooner; however, due to the insurance policy chosen by **************, Geico has the option to use LKQ parts for replacement, in which they did.  All other approved work has been completed and waiting the arrival of the grille.

    There were a couple other matters causing delays with this claim.  For example, we had to determine prior damage that was paid on another claim that was not associated with this claim, we discovered several missing parts that should have been with the vehicle and that were needed but were thrown away by the vehicle owner, and we found additional claim related damage and had to supplement to Geico.  All of these things cause delays during the repair process and we have been in communication with **************** on numerous occasions.

    We are on target with the repair process given the guidelines and parts usage defined and paid by Geico Indemnity Company.  Battlefield Park Body Shop takes pride in providing quality repairs and restoring vehicles to pre crash condition; therefore, we will not overlook additional damage, install poor quality parts, or sacrifice our reputation for unreasonable time expectations.
