According to BBB information, Manhattan Marketing offers several trip packages for a fee ranging from $149- $599. The business's website, www.manhattanmarketingservices.com, offers package specials such as 3 Day/2 Night, 4 Day/3 Night, or 5 Day/4 Night with incentives including $100.00 Airfare Credit, $50.00 Dining Card and/or a $50.00 Visa Card.
Based on these claims, BBB requested specific information from the business on May 19 and June 3, 2015. Although the business confirmed their address, on June 15, 2015 BBB received returned mail indicating Manhattan Marketing's physical address of 1304 N Main Street Culpeper, VA 22701 was undeliverable as addressed. On July 7, the business provided BBB with another physical address for the business.
BBB requested a receipt of all confirmed reservations for trip packages scheduled within the last 90 days and the agreement between Manhattan Marketing and the resorts that honor these packages. Manhattan Marketing explained they have one contract through Etour and Travel. BBB received a document titled "Reservations Confirmed"; however, the document was illegible so BBB cannot verify the information. BBB notified the business of this but has not received the new information as of 7/28/2015.
BBB urges caution when considering the purchase of vacation packages from a company without requesting specific information that can later be verified. Consumers should receive any company's refund/cancellation policy in writing. This policy should clearly explain what the business shall do and what recourse the customer has in the event a trip cannot be booked within the specified dates.
