  Highly unprofessional Very unprofessional work habits and training. I started employment here on 6-17-24 A new driver. Asked me what experience I had. I told him I had experience on a particular truck and I was trained in another. Which I did not mind And also , I inquired about the training program and Training regimen they have. I was literally training for three hours on my first day. My trainer told me to get out the truck and go home. I Then went to the office to ask about my position I was told my first day that it was not going to work out. I felt like my opportunity would be squandered because I would not given A decent chance with a decent trainer. The supervisor ***** allowed me to come back The following day, mind you This is day, two of being on the job. I showed up today for work. I was told to go home ok no problem, I thought to myself. Being the type of employee I am and type of Man that I am, I called to inquire about my schedule for tomorrow.I was simply told that it was not going to work out coming back. But my concern is this The lack of integrity and the lack of professionalism Would not recommend any decent Driver to work for this company. And also, you have to work three weeks Get your first week pay check. It is the lack of leadership, management And communication. Whether You are a new driver An experience driver it does not matter The training is not what a company should represent. I am not making this post as a bitter employ But as a knowledgeable Person.

  We own a **************************************************** *****. We have been a customer for 15 years plus. Our contract stated that Updike would pick up weekly, however I cannot even say how many times they have missed. We have called daily, weekly and no one will ever answer the phone and if they do they always say they will have it picked up immediately which they never do follow through with that. We cancelled our service on July 7th due to them breaking contract of missing week after week of emptying the dumpster but according to Miss ****** we broke contract and had to pay a fee to break the contract. Their dumpster is still on our property as of November 9th. I cannot Wait till this nightmare is over and definitely do NOT recommend this business to anyone.

  Waste removal is extremely important to everyone. However as a business owner, it impacts your livelihood. Initially the monthly rate was reasonable. Perhaps two years into our service there was an increase without notice. I appreciate that things cost more and the increase was within reason. But notice would be professional. Recently I was sent an invoice of over 150%. Again, no notice. I have been calling Updike for weeks and no one answered the phone including customer service, sales, accounts receivable, accounts payable. A week ago I surprisingly had someone answer in accounts receivable and when I explained my issues, she said the computers were down and she couldnt look up my account. A week later I left her a voicemail. She returned my call to say that the system was still down. Unacceptable.
